“Stop researching strollers and car seats on the internet. Just come ask Mika - she's so so so helpful! She even walked to our car with us to figure out which car seat fit better.”
“Great store, with friendly staff and tons of tables for open play. Played a warhammer 40K game here last night and I was really impressed with the tables and scenery options.”
“FUN, WELCOMING, POSITIVE AND PROFESSIONAL! I used to hang out here all the time in middle and high school before moving away for college! Even as a newbie kid, the community of Magic players under the leadership of D was always so friendly and welcoming! Tons of fun for a middle schooler to play and learn from the wonderful people who come to play here! Versus Games forever!”
“Ying Hobbies & Toys it's the hidden gem you never knew you needed! My wife stumbled upon this treasure while on a quest for Gunpla goodness, and boy, am I glad she did. Tucked away in a cozy spot, Ying Hobbies & Toys might play hard to get at first, but once you lay eyes on its bounty of plastic wonders, you'll be hooked. The store might be small, but it's bursting at the seams with an array of model kits that'll make any Gundam fan's heart skip a beat. Seriously, choosing just one model feels like trying to pick a favorite child - impossible and bound to hurt someone's feelings. But fear not, the guy running the place is pretty helpful. With his guidance, navigating through the sea of model kits becomes a breeze! Oh and the pricing is super fair specially for all the cool stuff you can find. So, if you're a Gundam enthusiast or just someone who appreciates the art of model kits, do yourself a favor and pay Ying Hobbies & Toys a visit. Trust me, it'll quickly become your go-to spot for all things Gunpla. Happy building, fellow plastic yelp warriors!”
“The best toy store I’ve been to in the Bay Area. It’s your classic shop that offers everything for kids (and adults) of all ages. From the neat little brio train table to hot wheels and dolls and puzzles and balls, this cute little spot really has it all. They even have vintage 1990s action figures and toys too!
What’s great is prices are very reasonable too. I bought a small car toy in SF Japan town for $15 whereas at this spot it was only $10.
They also have gift wrap services and the staff are incredibly friendly. Will always try to come here with the kiddo as it’s a really lovely place.
A+”
“Cute local place, lots of great candy selection in the bulk bins. Lovely couple running the place, friendly and helpful. Lots of black licorice options and toys.”
“This place is so awesome I needed a mask but they still let me in and my kid played with his electronics alot now not anymore the store and the staff are the best I EVER SEEN!!!!!”
“What a sweet and wonderful group of lady's running this store. You'll find everything you need for toddlers, which is especially hard about 4 years old. In between baby and kids clothes/shoes. Also the shoes I bought my son were not cheaply made Nike's that break through the toe within a month. Great stuff!”
“Friendly greeting on entry and friendly staff, solid selection of a wide variety of games and accessories. Typical LGS space, fairly cluttered. Based on your current inventory, recommend giving Altered CCG a try, I think it would do well here.”

“Awesome store and knowledgeable staff! The dude Sean that works here on weekends is awesome. Very helpful and knowledgeable about swords they sell and how to care for them. Made sure I had everything I need and knew how to maintain the blade before I left the store.”

“Come here for a quick gift to bring a fancy hipster toy to your next young kids birthday party. Expect to pay high prices, but in return, you get fancy packaging that feels good in your hands, as you marvel at the extra 5 minute effort the clerk spends to wrap your gift and stamp it with custom letters with the name of the recipient. The store is a joy for parents, but honestly like any fancy boutique you get concerned bringing your little ones in tow. This is a high brow gift shop, not Toys R Us.”
“Super7 has become one of my absolute FAVORITE purveyors of plastic goodness within recent years. The Supersize and Ultimates lines especially have won my business forever!”

“One of the nicest places in the city! They moved ailes in a different direction, and there are a lot more supplies and items to buy. It is also a great store to get greeting cards and toys and cleaners. Great for families!”
“Very nice staff! The store is huge and amazing! The prices are normal and fair, a huge selection of Funko pops and have so many different sizes of funko pops. Would recommend 100%”
“One of the few places I’ve been to that sells the Monster Hunter Figure Builder series. Has a good collection of figures, plushes and other anime/game related merchandise.”
“I love this build a bear location! They have limited edition clothing pieces that you can only find at this store. I went here first thing in the morning so it wasn’t busy.”
“Such a cute store for trinkets!! the staff are also so awesome and helpful. The decor is super cute as well! My favorite store on haight by far???
P.S. besides what’s pictured, we’ve also gotten decently priced Pokemon packs with some decent pulls ??”
“You can find a bunch of great figurines, board games, etc. They have a variety of brands like Bandai, Good Smile Company, etc. Yup, nendoroids! The best shop in Japantown for figurines and authentic.”

“I was looking for swimwear and a sweater (both from Tea Collection) which were sold out on the company's website. After a google search for the items, I found Fiddlesticks! They have a nice selection of children's clothing as well as plush toys (I ended up buying a few more adorable plush toys from Jellycat). When I received the package today, all items were individually wrapped and there was a sweet note from the owner. Had a lovely experience shopping online. Highly recommended this store.”

“Visited this store for the first time last week and will for sure be coming back. Wonderful selection of high quality brands/toys. Great variety for all ages, friendly staff. This feels like a wonderful local business to support!”
“My niece wanted to visit the store after her birthday brunch. We walked into the store, and it was a little difficult to push our stroller around, so we had the toddler walk around. The bigger kids were interested in the pirate supplies. We bought a few sets of zodiac dice because there is a five-dollar minimum for credit card purchases and I don't like to carry cash in the city. I would love to return to watch a show here,”
“This is an awesome store! So many cool toys, stickers, stamps, miniatures, etc.!
Also, an impressive inventory of arts and craft items.
Shop-keeper is very kind and generous; helping me out with my Halloween costume and keeping an eye out for bat themed items.
It is a joy to be able to support a wonderful small business ( over Amazon).
I highly recommend!”
“Best Anime in California. I love all the Japanese Animations.
Friendly staffs! I appreciate all staffs patience and empathy while my family toys hunted. I will definitely be back for the great customer services and their extensive best Anime collections!”
“This is my favorite game stop and I always go out of my way to go to this location. The store is clean and organized. Most of all, I truly have had only good experiences with the employees. They are very informed and I trust them to give me the best advice on games and deals. I choose to bring my business here over target or other stores because I feel confident that if anything goes wrong with the item I’ve purchased, they are competent enough to resolve it.”
