Vallarta Supermarket is big and spacious with a great variety of products and special sections that many shoppers love. The customer service is excellent and all employees are friendly, offering great samples. The store feels unique and appreciated in the neighborhood. Some customers mention the music; they would prefer mariachi, cumbia, ranchero, and dislike the modern style. Parking lot can be dirty and some customers are nasty. The market serves the Hispanic community well, offering fresh seafood, tamales, chiciron, and other cooked dishes. EBT is accepted on cold items only, and prices on some items are higher than other supermarkets. Cakes are excellent, especially chocolate cakes that are moist and not too sweet. The ice cream and other products are more expensive than Stater Bros, but the meat is delicious, though carne, chicken and pork asada are extremely salty. Overall, the market is clean, with fresh produce and well kept meat areas. Prices are higher than Cardenas and Food4Less, but many customers would shop there again.
