About Coronado Playhouse
Coronado Playhouse is an intimate and comfortable community theater venue. The sets, acting, and scripts are consistently good, with terrific and enthusiastic performers. It provides a fun, casual, and incredible experience where every seat is a good seat, making it easy to see and hear. The staff are helpful, friendly, professional, and energetic. As a local community theater, it offers great shows, including fun, witty, and unique productions, Shakespeare performances, children's theater, and other great shows. The cost is about one-fourth that of larger venues, with very reasonably priced refreshments. It is a definite must-visit for anyone in the San Diego area and nearby, and is highly recommended for those who love theatre.
Coronado Playhouse is one of San Diego’s best, most affordable, cultural venues. The performance quality is consistently excellent. Plays range in genre and offer something for everyone. Comfortable bistro table seating (though sometimes obstructed views). An incredible cultural asset for us all.

The community center is a great location. The venue was nicely set up. Servers were very professional and energetic. I was not impressed with the food. The food was nicely presented. It was not warm and that is just what happens to buffet style food.

I’m so excited to be having my first opening night at CPH tonight! It has been a lovely rehearsal process where I feel valued and appreciated.
