They were nice but I went there to get help with a store issued Apple Store gift card. They said there is no way to help me and I need to call gift card support. When I called gift card support, they said that the store should have helped me because the gift card was issued by a store in the first place. My problem is still not solved, no one knows what to do, or everyone is lazy. Not sure

Stay far away from the Apple Store at South Coast Plaza.
This place is a disaster. They’ve screwed me over multiple times, and against all odds, I still can’t upgrade my device because their staff failed to do the most basic part of their job — submitting the correct paperwork when I got a warranty replacement. That mistake meant AT&T never received the updated IMEI, and now I’m stuck in a nightmare where Apple shrugs and tells me to “restore your phone and hope it magically updates” or “go fight with AT&T yourself.” In other words, they admit they messed up, but dump the responsibility back on the customer.
I’ve wasted over 20 hours trying to fix this, and to make it worse, they even added an AT&T Next feature that’s been charging me $10 a month for 9 months. And now I can’t upgrade because of their incompetence. Their solution? Go fix our mistakes yourself.
Honestly, you’d be better off going to Costco, or even some shady back alley shop, before dealing with these reps again. At least you’d walk away with an upgrade. I’d rather be punched in the face than step foot in this store again.
There’s a reason their reviews are this low — management here is failing miserably. Whoever oversees this location clearly doesn’t care about training staff, customer experience, or accountability. If Apple wants to salvage its reputation, they need to either overhaul this store completely or shut it down.
Save yourself the headache. Do not come here.

Amazing and incredibly inviting atmosphere here. Usually you’d feel out of place shopping through a luxury mall like South Coast Plaza. However this Apple Store employs the most polite and helpful staff. They are quick on their feet to get to you and zero to no wait time especially on a busy Sunday afternoon and with the holiday season nearing.
HUGE shout out to Omar, who was incredibly helpful and patient. Had an issue with the credit card and he was very patient and did not make me feel like an inconvenience during our transaction. Strong contender for a holiday bonus and raise.

Bailey is engaging, knowledgeable, great conversation, to the point, and super efficient. He got my business account going transaction presented a couple products all within a few minutes. Smooth sailing. Looking forward to using my dive watch.

Walk-in wait times and terms are vaguely explained and completely inaccurate. Would never come to this location if even a slightly more decent one was closer than the spectrum.

Zero stars for the head of the genius bar. Made me sign a waiver, saying I accept data loss on my phone, which I signed, went back-and-forth to the Apple Store multiple times on an appointment, wasted hours of my time, only for them to not even attempt to replace my screen, even though I have AppleCare and it is under warranty as the phone is less than 30 days new. I don’t know the guy’s name, but he was short and chubby and was honestly a complete jerk did not make any attempts to help. Intentionally wasted my time.

Very large store with plenty of technical staff to help you with every issue. No wait time, and resolved are problems in a few minutes

I came in to pick up my order and, thankfully, there was no line. The process itself went smoothly, but the employee who helped me was not pleasant at all.
When I asked about my current phone with a damaged screen and what I might get if I traded it in, his response was a little dismissive: “Not as much as you’d expect.” He then asked if I had AppleCare, and when I said no. I asked how much would it be to fix it without AppleCare, he said probably half the cost of the phone. Fine—I understood that.
But when my new phone arrived, he pushed AppleCare again, and when I declined, he sarcastically asked if I wanted a bag, adding “It’s FREE…” in a very condescending tone. Later, when I asked about cases, he just waved me off with “It’s over that wall, you can go look at it.”
I’ve purchased at the Cerritos store before, and the staff there were genuinely kind and helpful. The contrast here was disappointing. Customer service should make people feel valued, not talked down to.

The guy wasn’t rude or anything, a normal customer service approach I guess. An Apple guy working told me they are not allowing sales right now. Only people allowed in the store are people with appointments. According to one of their salespersons. I was planning on getting the new SE for my daughter and I did not want to order online. I want to see the phone in person first. I am standing in line and I see other people walking out the store with purchased items. IDK. What he said just didn’t make sense to me. Nevertheless, I was able to purchase what I came to Apple to buy.

I’ve been a loyal Apple user since the iPhone 2 and have always trusted your products for their reliability. However, my recent experience at the South Coast Plaza Apple Store left me frustrated and disappointed.
I visited the store today because my AirPods (both left and right) have stopped functioning properly. After waiting over 70 minutes for assistance, the Genius team ran diagnostics and informed me that both sides had failed. I was offered two options: purchase a new pair for $240 or repair both sides for $178 ($89 each).
I find it unreasonable to pay $178 for a product that failed through no fault of mine. When I expressed this concern, the manager, Stedman, responded that "nothing lasts forever." While I understand that products age, I don’t believe it's fair for customers to have to replace or repair their headphones every two years at such a high cost.
This experience has significantly dampened my view of Apple’s commitment to customer service and product longevity.

This is a nice clean mall. They also have a nice Apple store inside.
