Ganahl Lumber is the oldest lumberyard and hardware supply store in California. It is a family and employee owned business selling building supplies and hardware for pro contractors and DIY enthusiasts. Their products include tools, paint, building materials, millwork, doors and windows. They have eleven convenient store locations serving the greater Los Angeles area. Customers find the staff very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. Unlike big box stores, the staff does not play hide and seek; they acknowledge you and help with paint recommendations, specific woods, and complicated installations. The well-staffed lumber team in the warehouse will cut wood with near perfect accuracy and even help load it into your vehicle. Staff members in the door and window department and the paint department go above and beyond to assist, even with items not purchased there. Customers report that prices can be better than the big box stores, with higher quality S4S lumber that is not cupping or twisted. Many are willing to spend more to avoid big box stores and will definitely look here first from now on. The business is highly recommended.
