“One of the best gyms and community of people I have been apart of!Jake and Marla and the other coaches truly care and this place makes you feel beyond welcome. They have great attitudes every day, constantly encouraging all of us and are just great people to be around.The classes are smaller so you truly get to focus on the lifts while getting to know the other people in the class, which makes this place feel like family.I love how all our names are written on a white board with our max weight listed for specific lifts we have done. With this, you can truly see yourself progress while having fun comparing your max weights to others in the class.Truly the strongest I have felt in years. Previously did a lot of CrossFit style hi intensity work outs that would feel great but I never got stronger or felt solid. Here I do, no question.It’s beyond addicting coming here and if you truly care about your fitness, want to see legitimate progress and results, have a community of people in it with you, this is your place.”

“Oh boy this post is long overdue. First off let me start by saying I'm medically overweight and I have a medical condition that makes it difficult for me to lose weight. That being said the past couple of years have been emotionally and physically difficult. It wasn't too long ago that I finally decided to do something about it. I decided to try something that would boost my self confidence and help me get more fit and thus, Herbaculture. And man this place is my home away from home. I've done LOTS of studio hopping and have been to basically EVERY studio in the OC, chino hills AND LB area. Yes, that's a LOT and I can say by far, herbaculture is the best (my opinion anyways). First off, the owner is especially careful with picking out the instructors. Never have I ever felt awkward or uncomfortable in ANY of the classes here and that's saying a lot considering I'm naturally shy and I am still learning to love my body as it is (as most of us are). I have tried almost every class this studio has to offer and each instructor is unique and amazing in their own way. I started out with pole and began to feel empowered. I felt disheartened as I realized how much upper body strength and ab strength was needed to do some of the tricks but everyone reassured me it takes time. Nothing happens overnight. I began to do weekly practices which turned into twice a week to 3 times a week as I slowly built up my strength and stamina and man, is it very empowering. Pole truly helped me to learn to love my body and boosted my self esteem. It took awhile for me to get to where I was with pole but little by little I suddenly began to be able to climb and hold my body up on the pole. It was truly amazing to see how much time and practice went into pole and seeing the results. I felt my upper body strength improve as well as my abs. After awhile I decided to stop pole for a bit and try out some of the dances classes. Similar to pole, the burlesque classes with Vanessa were amazing! I learned so much floor work and found that it was amazing to see what my body could do WITHOUT a pole and just by itself was amazing. I also took belly dancing with Sofia and while I'm not good at it, Sofia is the NICEST most SWEETEST instructor I've had so far. She's honestly such a positive human that I wish I could be more like her. With these dance classes I learned how to move to a beat and listen for a rhythm and got some cool dance moves in my repertoire before I decided to try aerial. Delainey and Ryan are PHENOMENAL instructors! By this point I had stopped pole for awhile and had lost all the strength I had built during pole. I had to start back from the bottom again and it felt like an uphill battle. But with the encouragement of Delainey and Ryan, they've truly helped me and EVERYONE realize they are capable of doing amazing things. Aerial is not easy and by far, the hardest out of all of the apparatuses. I've only just begun my journey, but this truly is my home away from home. I started my fitness journey feeling overweight and disheartened but now I feel my body growing again in strength and confidence. Also, Lorenzo the dog is a great benefit as well. If you ever need dog therapy while stretching, he will come up right to you. This studio is truly my home studio and I truly express that if anyone wants to give this studio a try they absolutely should. The studio has a drop in class for one $10 and it's where a lot of us start. Good luck on your aerial journey!”

The staff and classes are amazing, and such genuine people who want to help. I’m 48 years old and was giving x fit a go, but it’s made my lifestyle so much better and I feel / look great, it’s the best thing I’ve done by joining the Brutal Republic community. “I've been coming to Fitness Authority for 7 years. What a great gym. It's got a "family" kind of vibe to it. The environment is outstanding and it's light years away from the sterile 'corporate' feeling of the big gyms. The owner, Bernie, is fabulous. He takes the time to talk/chat, offer advice, and constantly check to make sure you're doing well. You simply will not find a better place to train. I'm incredibly fortunate I found this place and I have no plans to leave. Ever.”

“I started lifting when I joined The Strength Co. back in 2021, I took the intro to barbells with Grant and was immediately hooked. I have been training with Brayden 3 days a week since then and have built so much strength. I went from only squatting a 22 pound bar to being able to squat 265 pounds. The Strength Co. really helped me with having the right form which has helped my body become stronger and less accident prone. Without The Strength Co. to help me learn proper techniques then I wouldn't be where I am! I even had the opportunity to compete in powerlifting competitively with their help. Brayden and the rest of the coaches are extremely knowledgeable and have helped come up with unique programming to make me stronger. If you're looking to start lifting properly then The Strength Co. is where it's at!”

“1yr 50+ lbs weight loss Transformative change in my life thanks to SRF ready fitness team. What started as a search to rehab a separated shoulder from surfing accident, turned into a comprehensive plan for achieving my health goals. When I met Paul I was stalled in my surfing journey despite surfing almost daily. At 53 old and new injuries and fatigue made surfing difficult. I struggled to get into better surfing shape. After an initial assessment Paul created a customized plan for my current state and future goals. Most importantly morning after morning 6am Paul was there for me. Great attitude and consistent encouragement. I can say he saw more in me than I was able to see in myself. He is patient, persistent, never condescending, and partners with you. My goal is to surf better as long as possible. Paul was careful to help me stay focused on that as a goal. His surf / balance / core strength workouts are unique and effective. His knowledge comes from 10+ years of experience training the highest level surfers. So he knows what to do. I don’t have to research tons of other people’s exercises, research nutrition, cobble my own regiment, and manually rotate that. Paul does all that for you, apnea, core, balance, pop ups.. while great for surfing, it is the best total body fitness program you can put yourself on whether you surf or not. They give an evaluation and initial trial run.. if you live near Costa Mesa it’s a no brainer to try it out. If you live further out he has virtual classes. Not many surf specific gyms in the world, and even fewer with a proven professional pedigree and surfers to back it up. Check SRF out… might change your life also.”

“This place has an abundance of equipment. There are plenty of squat racks (6 to be exact), 5 benches to bench on, plenty of weights to choose from, various equipment for both lower body and upper body, and this place is very clean. Another topic that should be discussed is the limited times there are for this fitness center. I should advise all that the fitness center will only allow students who signed up for the specific classes that offer the gym. Let me repeat, this is a class, not a public gym. Times are setup, how a class should be. The coaches are there to help you if you need any assistance on how to work a specific body part. Overall: 9/10”

“This is such an incredible studio! I have done quite a bit of a barre at other studios and this is easily one of my favorites, if not absolute favorite. I love that they have wooden floors, unlike pure barre which has carpeting. The whole place has a very fun vibe. Always a great work out and the instructors are super friendly and helpful.”

“I have been through this establishment for over a year now. I am very happy with the results. Although I did not diet or change my habits; the workouts have been visible to my friends and family. I was going to get an arm lift; several doctors advised against it; but with only 32 sessions, I have rebuilt my arms more firm and sporty muscular by attending 2 sessions per week. I love my trainer Kyle. She's always responsive to my texts. It never seems like a workout. It's always about what my plan? By the time I talk about my plan the sessions are over. Super easy and worth every penny. I signed up for another 32 sessions, because this time, i'm combining diet and extra walks for better results. I wish you had a closer location. I'd do the sessions everyday. 20 minutes ONLY!”

“Omg! I love this family owned gym! Everyone has a heart of gold! It's been a year plus that I have been coming to see Teresa and man does she work out every muscle in your body! I was even sore where I thought it wasn't possible. I am so happy I have committed to our regular classes. I love how my body has been transforming, I have definitely gotten stronger and even when you think you can get away with your minimum weight they give you an extra push to just get to the next level. I always have a great time with my class! It's clean, and every now and then we get to visit w/ the pups of the family too. You can talk about body parts that might be feeling off or area you want to workout and they show you ways to customize moves just for you. Thank you soooo much!”

“Love working out here! It is low-key, with friendly staff, and I rarely have trouble finding a machine. I wish it was open later than 8pm, but I usually go in the morning so doesn't really matter. Easy to access, with big parking lot, and beautiful view of Upper Newport Bay. Would definitely recommend!”

“Coach Richie Munguia is an OG who just transferred here to UFC costa Mesa. I've trained with him at UFC HB since before covid and now fight under him resulting in 4-0 thus far (3 kickboxing 1 boxing) He really knows his stuff. He also teaches MMA Jiu-jitsu, strength & conditioning, muay thai, wrestling, dieting/meal plan/supplement intake & recovery. Stoked to have him over at CM location to accompany the other great coaches ? ? ?”
