We came here for a garment bag. John was very helpful and very nice. I think he was the manager. He made sure every customer was served right away without waiting.

Great go to place if looking for a dress for a special occasion. Big selection to choose from compared to other stores. Specially if dont like to order online, and like to try on before buying. Started early shopping for a summer wedding that need to attend in June. Didnt find what was looking for. But I'll keep checking in for new stlyes .

This store has one of the best clothing selections of any Macy's I've ever been to.....BUT they are chronically understaffed. Lines on weekends for dressing rooms can last an hour because only a few are open as not enough staffing. It's like being at a bad theme park waiting in line for rides. Then there is a similar line to pay. They can do so much to elevate customer experience as I do believe they have the products and prices to put them at the top of the retail chain game. I have seen them lose so many customers that didn't want to spend an hour in line at a dressing room on a Saturday and just leave the clothes and shop elsewhere. I've even done it. At a time where so many brick and mortar stores are losing to online shopping sites they need to do more to make the experience and the store better for those that go in.

It's great if you like to stand in line for a fitting room and then stand in another to check out. Also great to be told that the one dressing room open that you are unable to use. Awful

I bought over $20,000 worth of merchandise and wanted to return an item. I was treated with no respect and as if I was trying to cheat them. They accuse me of using it and then returning it. This was not the case and I was deeply offended that they would assume or imply that I would do that. Avoid the jewelry department at all costs. Read all the fine print you can because they will try to get out of any types of returns.

The store was well-organized and beautifully decorated, with a wide variety of photographs on display. The photographs were not only eye-catching, but very inspiring for any aspiring photographer to study. Richard Avedon would be proud of his legacy in fashion photography.

This ONE STAR review is for the well deserved RUDE shoe saleswoman named LILLI. This ONE STAR should be a NEGATIVE STAR not a positive star which she doesn't deserve!It was a busy day at Macy's today, Saturday 1/28. My husband and I, like all other people standing in line waiting for our turn to check out. While we were waiting in line, we saw a Caucasian man cut in front of everyone and asked the cashier LILLI to help him to check out a pair of shoes for him, instead of asking him to wait in line like everyone else, LILLI happily dropped everything she was doing and helped him. What she did for this gentleman was disrespectful and unfair for all other customers who waited in line. That's not the only reason I am complaining. What she said to us and how she said to us are the reasons for me to write this review. Hopefully this letter will reach her supervisor and maybe send her to learn some basic manners on how to treat all customers with respect, not selectively.Like I said earlier, we waited in line for our turn to check out. There were two cash registers for the checkout. When it was our turn, our cashier asked us to wait there (by the cash register #2) while he went to the back room to get our shoes. Our cashier is using the cash register #2 on the left side while LILLI was using the cash register #1 on the right. While we were waiting for our cashier to return, for no reason, LILLI rudely told us to step aside and wait. Her exact words were: "Step aside you're blocking customers". There's no "please" in her sentence. Besides, I also don't understand how possibly we were blocking customers? We were right in front of the cash register #2 waiting for our cashier to come back and finishing our transaction. How could we possibly be blocking other customers on cash register #1?? After she told us to move aside, she came to our cash register #2 and repeated again to us to step aside. When our cashier came back (less than a minute) he had to move us to the cash register #1 to finish up our transaction. Just like all other people there today, we were customers too. Why did we deserve to be pushed around by this rude employee? Why did she move from cash register #1 to cash register #2 and told us to step aside while we were not in her way and waiting for our cashier to finish serving us? I'd also like to ask Macy's management, how on earth you hired such a rude, disrespectful person with no basic knowledge of customer service to work in your sales department?

Had Christmas gifts that I did not want at all and luckily there was a return label on both of them. Returning a product at Macy's with a return label was so easy, it literally takes less than a minute. All they do is scan it, tell you the amount, and give you a gift card to use as credit and that's it! Easy Peasy!

I bought over 20k of merchandise at the jewelry department in Macy's. I went to return some other merchandise however I was treated like a hoodlum. Even after the amount of money I spent there. Do not believe their return policy. They will treat you like they don't know you or you are trying to cheat them. Avoid at all costs. Their product is worth way less than they are selling it for.

I wanted to share my outstandingly high compliments to the Personal Stylist named [Kenneth Marshall] at Store #523 at South Coast Plaza. He went above and beyond to find an item for me during busy Inventory season on January 9, 2023, and was happy to price-match yesterday's lower price on the item (since we'd had so much difficulty over the past few days attempting to reach the store by phone). We were looking for a pair of shoes for a long time as a gift for Dad, and every store in Texas—where we live—was sold out of the size we needed. This store in South Coast Plaza in California—clear across the country—had it, as well as a coupler other stores in the country. (Our local store in Texas had printed a list of Item & Store Quantities with a list of national stores that had the item and size we needed.) We tried so hard to get in touch with multiple stores by phone—which were listed as carrying the item—and failed. I was about to give up until I decided on a whim to call the South Coast Plaza store, and one of the associates at the At Your Service Desk immediately picked up and passed my information over to Kenneth. Kenneth actually went above and beyond and, knowing how difficult phone communication is, actually reached out to me a few hours later via text message saying he'd found the item!!!! Woohoo! We spoke over the phone and he was able to ship the item to me in Texas with free shipping. The item had increased in price overnight back to full price, and I texted him screenshots of the sale price from yesterday (when we had tried to get in touch with the stores) and he happily honored the sale price. Thank you soooo much to Kenneth and we are so grateful for you!

Great clearance section in the petites section, but man the racks were packed so browsing was hard. It was like Ross, lol. Clothes were all over the floor too.The dressing rooms were even worse. You couldn't even put stuff on the rack after you were done.
