“Dr. Kumar is the reason I come to Baker Bristol. She is the most caring and attentive exotic vet I have ever experienced. She listens and is so dedicated to helping both my bunnies and myself. I couldn’t be more happy with the care here. Side note: I couldn’t get in with Dr. Kumar for a follow up after one of my bunnies was very sick with e. cuniculi and saw Dr Kaplan instead. She is also extremely caring and attentive and I have much appreciation for her as well :):)”
“All Creatures Care Cottage is a great place to take any animal. When I travel my baby always stays safe with them. I have never had any problems the three years they have been my Vet!”
“It was only RICO’s fifth car ride, plus, he also flew once on an airplane. This time was different. He was meowing and scared the whole way to Newport-Mesa, even more so than on the plane. He wouldn’t shut up and, because he was sick, he probably thought I was going to get rid of him.
He’d been throwing up a lot for a few days and kept contracting his stomach, rhythmically, about once every second, and breathing heavily, which could have been something very serious. I was just as worried as him. It was his first time being sick and his first time leaving home. No cat likes to go to the vet. Thankfully, he doesn’t know about neutering nor taking shots, at least not just yet.
I like taking Fireball and Tequila shots, but that’s different. Notwithstanding, there is zero difference between a woman’s psychology and a cat’s, so it’s important to be careful with them and get them to think that everything is their idea, which they did.
They all seemed like genuinely caring people, which means a lot for a cat, as they can be skittish. Dr. Terry, Natalia and Kaylee were all very professional and gentle with RICO. I think they probably took a bit extra time with him, in order to pet him and enjoy his company, which he seemed to like. Who could blame them? He’s the best cat ever! I taught him everything he knows. He normally follows me around everywhere I go, until he felt sick. Now that he’s feeling better, he does so again.
We were both worried, but Dr. Terry had a very compassionate bedside manner and made us both feel comfortably. On his way back home, RICO told me that he was happy and was seemingly already feeling better, because he didn’t meow like a scaredy-cat, not once. He did wet himself inside of his carrier, but that’s just because he couldn’t hold it any longer.
They went above and beyond: I received a text message late last night, well after business hours, from someone who wanted to make sure RICO was doing better. That or they just really liked him. Thankfully, he’s back to his normal self, with no more throwing up and no more contractions.
RICO told me to tell Natalia that he wishes he could have said goodbye and he wouldn’t mind seeing her again. Other than that, it was a flawless trip to the vet. RICO is very appreciative that he feels all better.
I research everything, due-diligently. It was no surprise to me that Newport-Mesa Animal Hospital took great care of RICO. Ohhh, and now I know that he’s a boy. Thank you!”
“Dr. Kang and the entire staff are by far the best. They truly care for your dogs and treat them with genuine compassion—not as a way to make money, but because they truly care. We happily drive 25 minutes because it is absolutely worth it.”
“This is the only veterinary clinic that truly helped us find the cause of our dog’s illness and saved her life. Before coming here, we went to two other clinics where we were charged extremely high fees, yet they gave us no diagnosis, no real solutions—just excuses while taking more and more money.
Here, the experience was completely different. The team was professional, compassionate, and genuinely cared about helping our dog. They charged us a very reasonable price, yet the level of care and service was outstanding.
Thanks to their dedication and expertise, our dog has fully recovered and is now happy and healthy again. We are deeply grateful for your kindness, professionalism, and for giving our beloved pet a second chance at life.”
“2024 update
Still going to CMAH, but a different cat now. Charlie was taken by coyotes. Now Artemis. She gave me 15 years of grief in the first 3 weeks at our house. I was ready to give her the shot. But, as it turns out she is my loving kitty now and spends hours on my lap with a snore that sounds a little wheezy. Good check ups for her for the past 6 years now. I get flea treatment from them in the form of a pill, and she has actually gotten good at taking it, none of my blood on the floor! The doctors are still great there, each of them. And super staff. BUT, if you are boarding a cat, please note it is a mixed group with dogs barking in the kennels. Look in the cat's eyes for how they are feeling about that!
original post c. 2014.
Both my cat and I had great experiences with these vets. Well, I probably had a better one than he did, if you know how cats are with vets. I usually went for regular check ups, but once we had tooth problems, and they handled it with great care. I always found them to be very reasonably priced compared to similar services provided by other local cathouses (ha!). I plan to take my next one there.”
“I love mesa west pet hospital! Amazing

“perfect blend of understanding the care needed in the moment, listening to dog an parent to figure out issues. staff is on point, an if needing a animal doctor.. going to BANFIELD ( Santa Ana, Costa Mesa)
is the spot!”
“NHAH was able to get my boy in for an emergency visit at the end of the day to assess his eye which was not getting better despite being treated at an emergency vet earlier. Dr Toor was able to put us in contact with a specialist who was able to treat our boy appropriately”
“I’ve been bringing my dog to Family Animal Hospital for the past five years, and I can’t say enough good things about Dr. J and the entire team! My dog used to be terrified of going to the vet, but ever since we made the switch, she’s been doing so much better. Dr. J is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and approachable—it’s clear she truly cares about every pet she sees. The staff is always welcoming and efficient, and they do their best to get us in and out quickly, which I really appreciate. I trust them completely with my pup’s care and feel so lucky to have found this place!”
“I boarded my cat at the Cat Clinic over Christmas break and was very happy with my decision. I received regular updates and photos, which reassured me that he was in the best hands. Thank you to their wonderful team!”
