Backstory: I purchased a new van recently from a local dealership and it was covered with manufacturer paint defects; they removed some of them the day we purchased the van. But there were more imperfections we noticed once we brought it home. I had to take the car back to the dealership a couple of times to remove certain imperfections I found with the naked eye. I thought they had done the job right. As soon as I brought the van into the garage, I was witness to seeing the paint defects on full display. Most noticeable was the marring on the hood that was only visible when parked inside the garage with lighting directly above. Instead of taking it back to the dealership again for like the third time and getting even more stressed out, I decided to find a "REAL" dedicated auto detailer. So my hunt began and hours of research was spent. The Solution (John at Regenix Detailing): After researching it thoroughly, I found John at Regenix Detailing. I had a few questions regarding all this stuff since I was a neophyte to auto detailing. John took the time to answer every question I had. After a series of back and forth emails, I decided to go forth on this journey with John and Regenix. And boy, was this one of the best decisions I have ever made in this lifetime. I decided to get the Level 3 "Correct &" Protect" and a 5-year Ceramic Coating. With this service, John removes the paint defects that came with the van as well as add a nice ceramic coating to protect the paint, keep it looking good longer, and make it easy to clean and maintain. John is truly dedicated to the Art of Auto Detailing. He is extremely detailed and takes his time to make sure the job is done well. John found plenty of areas that needed correction that I never noticed. John would also keep me updated on the progress throughout so his communication was very stellar. But the end results of the detail he did on the van made my jaw drop. I'm dead serious ---it's literally better than new! How is that possible? Well, I am now a believer. John is the utmost professional guy you will ever meet and he knows his stuff. Pricing is very reasonable with his shop and John really takes the time needed to get your vehicle looking great. “Scott, Ken, Troy and team are top tier. Been a loyal and happy customer for many years. I got my Mustang painted from them a few years back and the paint job looked good but after a couple years it lost its luster. I brought my car back in and Scott and Ken didn’t even think twice when they saw it, they said they’d repaint the whole car again! Covered under their warranty (which I would highly recommend) the second paint job came out even better than the first time around. “A friend has a 16-yaer old Toyota SUV in excellent mechanical condition that performs very well. Unfortunately, it recently suffered three separate mishaps that resulted in obvious body damage to both sides, the rear bumper and rear door. Not wanting to spend twice the value of the vehicle to repair it, as was quoted by several local body shops, my friend asked for a recommendation for a facility that would 'work' within her cost parameters. Lazzini's Auto Body performed work for me on two previous occasions when my vehicle was damaged in a couple of hit-an-run incidents. I was very pleased with the repair work they did, so it was an easy ask.Ricky remembered me from the previous experiences. When I explained the situation, he was able to suggest an affordable restorative repair approach that fell within my friend's budget. He also explained that, should an insurance settlement have been in play, there were alternate approaches possible at a much higher cost, but that it wasn't practical or necessary given that there was no frame damage. Ricky's recommendation was exactly what we were seeking. My friend also wanted the hood repainted due to peeling paint and Ricky was able to offer a great price to do that at the same time as the other work. It was agreed that we would leave the vehicle for a week, since some new parts were required that would have to be ordered. Given my past experience, I had no concern about the time required, knowing that Ricky's judgement was good.In the final phase, delivery of an ordered part was delayed, requiring an additional day to complete the job, which was fine. It wasn't Lizzini's fault. When we arrived the next day we discovered that, in addition to the agreed upon work, Ricky also had the technician repaint the roof and do some additional body painting and blending to improve the overall appearance.The rear door spare tire enclosure was repainted and the entire body was polished the entire body - even polished the headlight lenses. The vehicle had been completely washed and the interior was cleaned. In short, it gleamed. My friend's vehicle looked almost showroom new. The extra work was performed at no additional charge beyond what was originally agreed. To say the least, my friend was over the moon ecstatic. She said that, when she drove away from Lazzini's Auto Body, she felt like she did when she drove the then-new vehicle off the Toyota dealer's lot 16 years.I can highly recommend Lazzini's Auto Body and Ricky Rodriguez, its manager. Theirs is the kind of exemplary service you'd expect from a long-time, local Santa Rosa business owned and managed by your neighbors. Although they work out of a modest facility, don't let that deter you. Their work is top drawer and they pass along the savings afforded by their lower overhead to their customers. “This is a top-notch auto body shop -- and they're super honest and fair. I took my car to PAB to have them fix a busted rear running light and a rear side panel that popped out slightly when I backed into a low cement wall. Since it was a small problem I didn't want to use my insurance for the repair bill. They quoted me a very fair price (in writing), and I agreed to it. They ordered the light and it came in after just a couple of days. I took my car in to have the work done and just an hour later they called me to tell me it was finished. Here's the kicker: They charged me NEARLY $100 LESS THAN THE QUOTED AMOUNT!! Turns out they didn't need to fully remove the bumper to get the panel back in, so they lowered my cost.
