“Amazing selection, outstanding service coupled with professional and friendly owners makes for a stellar experience! Andy is so knowledgeable and answered all our bamboo/plant questions. You can feel his passion for his plants exude when when he talks about them. It is truly breathtaking to walk amongst these beautiful trees in the heart of Sonoma County- didn't even know these exotic plants grew here. What a hidden gem and I would be happy to recommend this business in a heartbeat!”

“Cute little place, make sure you explore because it goes further than you think. I have a difficult thing to acquire and they had no problem referring me to when I might find it. 10/10 service. Will have my business in the future!”

“I started getting into succulents, and I needed a few things to get started. I was tired of going to Home Depot or Lowe's and then I remembered driving by King's Nursery! It's right next to Valero gas station, so sometimes it's easy to miss. S E R V I C E : Everyone working there was polite and asked me if I needed help with anything. They were all knowledgeable and they even were giving customers hot apple cider and fresh popcorn while shopping! It was amazing and made my shopping experience that more enjoyable. P L A N T(S) & C A R E: They had a huge selection of different plants (and of course a succulent section). They had beautiful pots for sale and all the medicine your plants need. Certain things were priced a little higher than expected, but I believe this isn't a huge chain store. O V E R A L L: Just because of how wonderful their service was, I would love to come back if I need anything else for my plants!”

“Really nice produce, friendly staff, and great prices. I overheard one of the employees telling someone that they didn't have something because it wasn't fresh enough, so they didn't buy it. I really enjoyed their salad dressing, it was red and Vidalia onion, but I don't remember what it was called. Will definitely visit next time I'm in Santa Rosa”

“This was my first time visiting Cottage Gardens. I really liked this place. Friendly people, really nice plants, and some great garden decor. It's pup friendly too! I picked up a couple of plants and a lovely pot. I already have plans to visit again.”

“Funny business title but packed in this small little shop that Eugene runs is indeed an amazing collection of roses, oddities & amazing things. We've found an excellent variety of David Austin English roses that are simply too difficult to find elsewhere. We've learned about tools (e.g. rose pruner from Burgon & Ball, dropped the winter pruning time down to one day) that have leveled up our rose and gardening game. In addition, plenty of soil, fertilizer, and garden accessories to choose from and our only regret is not discovering this place sooner.”

“Great assortment of plants to purchase; however, the real treat is touring the gardens. Wear comfortable shoes and explore. If you want to see trees and flowers in a natural setting Sonoma Horticulture Nursery is the place to visit.”

“Happened upon this store and didn't realize until I was inside that this is THE Baker Creek seed store. Like a kid in a candy shop, I marveled at all the seed packets and seed starting materials. What a lovely place with a lot of great information and items!”

“My wife is a garden designer and really appreciated the effort that went into making the arrangement look more natural as opposed to a hodgepodge of flowers and greenery. Thank you.”

“I love this plant shop. They have a great selection of outdoor and indoor plants. They also have a huge selection of outdoor plant pots that are super cute. Their indoor selection is great to. Knowledge of the staff for indoor plants was ok but I did find a guy that worked in the outdoor plant area that was great. They don’t have selection of rare plants so if that is your thing I would try a different place. I have a few of their indoor pots and they are cute. They are a bit on the pricey side, but that is just me. They also have a good variety of decor stuff if that is your thing.”

“This is the real thing. Nothing cute about it — big sacks and buckets of seed and fertilizer, native grass seed by the pound. I love this place — makes me want to be a proper farmer.”

“My girlfriends and I really enjoyed this place! Admission was $15 per person and there was ample parking. There were several varieties of lavender and you can cut a sizable bunch of fresh lavender for $5. There was a shop for souvenirs. Everyone was super kind and nice. There was even complimentary water bottles and lemonade.Such a fun and pretty place to spend our Sunday morning. We highly recommend!Restrooms: There were two portable bathrooms on site with an outdoor hand washing station.Picnic area: There was a shaded picnic area with tables and chairs and complimentary water bottles.”

“We loved it here! Texie and my daughter made best of friends in minutes...she showed us around the property, let us play with her dog Daisy and told us about the different plants. They offer some beautiful varieties of trees, grasses, succulents and much more. We will definitely be back!!”

“Don’t want to one star it cause I don’t believe it’s their fault. I’ve tried to visit a few times in the passed 2 weeks but they are always closed. Google says they are open I finally got someone to answer today and turns out they are closed during winter. Maybe someone can update the google hours so people don’t waste their time driving over. Can’t wait for it to actually be open. Looks really cool from the outside.”

“Had a great experience when I reached out for some help with a Honda Mower with back wheels that were locking up. Was told it would be about a month to get service (which is reasonable as it is that time of year). Brett also mentioned to me that I might simply loosen a nut on the cable running up the side of the handle. He took the time to explain the process to me in detail. Well, it worked like a charm and the mower is back to working like normal. He did not have to take the time but he did and it is insanely appreciated. Know where I am taking my lawn equipment in the off season for a tune up!!! Thanks lots!”

“Very well-maintained nursery tucked away on the south side of town just a couple minutes from Gravenstein Highway South. They have an amazing collection of healthy plants, succulents, cacti, bonsai trees as well as numerous greenhouses you can walk through filled with all kinds of potted plants. Their selection is varied and not what you would normally see at other nurseries. I've noticed their plants at other stores so they wholesale as well. When the weather is nice, it is a peaceful quiet place to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the property. Their employees are always very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It's hard to walk away without a new green friend in your arms. Parking could be tight on Saturdays. Open limited days and hours.”

“This nursery is amazing! The plants are lovingly cared for and super well organized so you can find what you want without being overwhelmed. Everything looked so lush and healthy. And the place was neat as a pin. Laurie and Jannie are so helpful with their deep knowledge of plants. Check out their awesome roof garden. They special ordered some plants for us in a timely way and gave us a great price. Thank you Laurie and Jannie!”

“Marty and his partner have cultivated an excellent selection of succulents, tropical-style plants, and exotic flora. Everything they have grows in zone 9 ( Sonoma County/ Soco). Call ahead for a walk-in appointment. Service here is personalized, friendly, and always educational. After much deliberation over the winter, I returned to purchase a broadleaf Travesia Palmata that unfortunately had already been sold by the time I returned in mid-February. Fortunately, they had more than one and I selected a 4.5 foot version--we love it! The plants at Peacock Horticulture are carefully selected by this friendly awesome duo, so you won't find too many plants they carry at Home Depot or Lowe's. Also, although they have a nice selection of bamboo and palms, their intention is not to compete with the Big 3 local palm/bamboo nurseries.”

“I checked out with pile of unorganized lumber, and Maria was great about working her way through the mess to get an accurate accounting. I'm sorry to say that I wasted a bunch of her time, but she was patient and professional.”

“I couldn't believe how many staff were working on a weekday. Probably the rise in theft and the time of year it is. But the one I asked for help was very helpful. Said he didn't know the answer but offered to reason it out with me. He then sent me to the exact spot my last item would be found. Check out Gal was super helpful at the register.”

“I have had a unexpected challenges in completing a front porch project due to incorrect product, insufficient product, and lack of response from my original provider. I went into Home Depot and was immediately helped by an employee to locate my options in the store. He then introduced me to Tammy Stephens, one of the Pros. She walked me through design options and gave me her card to have my contractor send her the measurements. It could not have been an easier or more enjoyable process, especially after having this project drag out over a month. I would highly recommend this store and working with its Pros. They operate with integrity, communicate clearly, and deliver on what they commit to doing. THANK YOU!!!!”
