“The Legacy store in Sebastopol is such a unique and special place. They have a wonderful selection of fabrics, sewing supplies, and craft materials, and everything is well organized and easy to browse. The quality of the items is impressive, and you can find both new and gently used pieces at very reasonable prices.

The store has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and helpful without being overwhelming. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the space. I also appreciate that purchases support the local senior center, which makes shopping there feel even more meaningful.

Overall, this is a great place to visit whether you’re looking for creative supplies or just enjoy discovering hidden gems. I would definitely recommend stopping by.”

“One of the best thrift shops in Sonoma County. I always find some random unique goodie here that I love. It seems like it's one of the few thrift stores that still has low prices that you would expect at a thrift store. Other places like the Goodwill have risen over the years, and has become less appealing. But these types of thrift stores still exist and I <3 Pick of the Litter as one of them. I have found things for my dog, clothes, gifts, vases, and random things like yoga balls. It's also open on Sundays (some that are religious thrift shops are closed). The ladies at the front are helpful, and there's always parking up front.

NEW pics as of Jan 2026 at their new location on Industrial Dr (the old Joann’s building!)”

“Best Rare Item Shop in town. Great selection of Tools!, Audio/Video Equipment, Vintage and New video games and equipment, Hard to find Cables and DC Power supplies, Surplus hobby Electronics, vinyl records, album posters and rare vintage collectable items. Every time I go to this store i have to spend nearly an hour walking around looking at everything trying to find hidden gems amongst all the gems this store has to offer. Stores like this are hard to come by. I've found rare wrenches / tool boxes and camera lenses, as well as many stereo amplifiers and speaker setups for friends over the years. Never once have i gotten a bad piece of equipment from this store and the owner always assures me if i have any issue to just bring it back and we will work it out. Never once have I had to take him up on his generous offer.”

They have a wide selection of items, something for everyone. I even picked up some puzzles and toys for my classroom. Definitely one of my fave thrift stores in the north bay.”

“I reviewed this wonderful boutique when it first opened out on Santa Rosa avenue, but I didn't get a chance to take photos this time. The new store is bright and clean and lucious, and you just want to buy every single handbag there! The owner Jen, is happy, always helpful, and really knows her stuff. And her staff members are A+++, to say the least. Thank you so much ladies-it was a pleasure and I'll be back again soon. ?”

“Great service, friendly staff, and they have a wide variety of products. I find it offensive that someone would be offended at something that was sold in another era, when people were not offended of making fun of each other. If you don't like something don't buy it. Those type of items are collectible by the way, and depict a historical time that we should not forget, and learn from.”

“We recently donated several pieces of furniture. We were delighted with all aspects of the process. Everyone involved was communicative, polite, and helpful. We were very appreciative of the pick up service. Thank you for the ability to give this furniture a second life.”

“I like this little place. Yes, the hours are limited, probably because of volunteer staff, and it is small, but they've reorganized the shop to maximize the space, and it's well laid out. I always find a little something here, and the staff is pleasant.”

Most book were pretty new and these are books you can find at target within the last year. They were priced very reasonable. Hardcover $2 and paper backs $1. “Everyone has to realize the women working here- are volunteering their time and energy to be there. They are not getting paid. The proceed go to scholarship funds. The store has some cute items, but just like any thrift store, you'll have to browse for everything. It smells a like old dusty times & clothes because (gasp!) they are! Everything has been donated. The workers aren't going to go and wash the clothes again. So let's please show these hardworking volunteers some grace. The volunteers are all very sweet and cute. They are friendly and try their best to help. The store has been reorganized and separated to clothing, household goods, etc. Whenever I'm in town, I like to browse and usually find something good.”

“A great experience. My daughter and I went there from Eureka, California. We had never bin to the bins. We had no bags with us. She carried all these clothes over her shoulder to the truck. It was hilarious. Thank you for the fun time. We will be back again.”

“The employee who helped me drop off a donation was friendly and helpful and the process was very easy. Note that there are several items they don’t accept (see pic), including some items not listed like curtain rods”

“I stumbled upon this thrift shop while walking around Petaluma over the Memorial Day weekend. They had a sale going on, and I ended up finding some really pretty dishes at great prices. The staff were super nice, and I loved that they used recycled paper bags to pack everything—it was a nice touch. The only small thing was that the bag didn’t have handles, so it was a bit awkward to carry. But overall, it was a really lovely experience. I’d definitely stop by again if I’m in the area.”

“I've started going back regularly and have found some neat treasures. The one big let down was waiting for a certain color price tag to go to 75% off. The week before it would have? They cut the price and changed the label color . . . I felt let down seeing those types of games.”

“Of all things looking for a knob on top of a glass lid for a pot that came broken as a Christmas gift. Found the perfect item and the staff were kind enough to find a screwdriver and help us harvest the part and recycle the rest. Maybe not a Christmas miracle but a nice little find and nice people. If I lived here at shop here more often. Thank you!”
