Terrible experience. Had a scheduled pick up time. When I arrived, only 1 person at office and waited 30 minutes in line for customers ahead of me. At that point, I was then told they did not have a car for me and would have to wait (at least) another hour. I ended up calling main Avis reservation line to switch to another location and had to Uber to the 2nd location. It was a terrible experience and the customer service was really awful.

Had a rental agreement for this location and when I turned up at the rental start time I was told they had no cars. The guy at the counter then tried to give me a car that was 5x what I had already paid for and had a receipt for. I called the rental hotline and was told there was nothing they could do and that they couldn’t find any cars for me. Why are reservations being accepted if there are no cars?? Why am I forced to pay 5x more than what I RESERVED when the problem is on Avis’ end and not mine??? Will never use Avis again

I would give zero stars if I could. This is for the 4246 sepulveda location. I had a booking for noon. I called prior to and was told I could come early to retrieve my rental. When I get there the gentleman stated, not only couldnk not get my rental early but I would have to wait additional 30 mins until the car gets here. He was very rude. "you're not gonna get anything for free" I paid for the entire day starting at 8am so I'm not sure why he thought I was getting anything for free. Instead of apologizing for the miscommunication he made it worse. Unacceptable.

Once again this location cancels last minute telling me they don’t have any cars after having confirmed the reservation.I had to pay for an Uber to go to the airport location from here and then had to pay 40% more to rent from there. Terrible experience.

We’ve rented from this location a couple times before that went okay, but after today, we will no longer be coming here.The black gentleman working there is condescending and rude. We arrived 50 minutes after our reserved time to find that they had no cars available. The man berated us for being late and said there was a “line of people” ahead of us that rented all the cars.As the conversation progressed, he changed his story and told us they didn’t have any cars for our reserved time, and we needed to call them to check before coming in every time. He said the “fine print” of the confirmation email states that reservations don’t guarantee you getting a car. How does that make sense? Why accept a reservation if there’s nothing available?He ended the conversation by emphasizing it was our fault for being 1.5 hrs late (the extra 30 minutes was us waiting for him to answer phone calls while we were there).Long story short, don’t come here if you have strict plans. You might not get a car. Luckily, we had some flexibility. We rented from Midway Car Rental instead. They actually honor their reservations.

Don’t rent from here. I was given a car which apparently being used previously by chain smoker. our clothes smelled like smoke! I was offered an upgrade that supposed to be $15/day but the total cost was extra $85 for 3 days upgrade.

Horrible experience at this rental car vendor. I reserved a car weeks in advance of when I needed one. While I was about 45 minutes late to pick up the car, I waited about 40 minutes for 2 people ahead of me to be served. When it was my turn, I was told there was no car available. The staff person told me he attempted to call me the day before, but I never received a call or message. The staff person was apologetic, but ultimately, either be a rental car company and have cars available or find a new type of business. There were 2 cars on the lot, but I was told I could get one if I paid significantly more money. The national system and local vendors do not communicate well for the car reservation process at Avis. My plans significantly inconvenienced this day. I will never return to Avis and recommend avoiding.

Terrible service here. The owner is rude and unprofessional. The car was not available for more than 2 hours after the pickup time and we didn't even get an apology. The owner hung up on me and is now refusing to pick up the phone. I've never experienced such bad service from an Avis before. I will be reporting to corporate.

After reserving and pre paying, arrived for pick up a little before reserved time. Waited 30 minutes only to be told, with no remorse I light add that the type car I reserved he didn't have and all the cars left were expensive. He didn't bother to tell how much or what cars were. I've rented from them numerous times but never again. Customer service sucks.

AVIS email me a coupon code. It would NOT WORK. I was told to call the 800 #.Call 3 times no one could figure it out.I rented the car anyway because this location is close to my home. After I return the car. AVIS sent me another coupon code. Is this a Joke.AVIS why send me a discount code that doesn't work.

I had to give them one star in order to leave a review but they deserve negative points! Absolutely terrible experience handled without any courtesy! How does an, "I'm sorry" justify a family missing a trip paid for in advance because AVIS decided to call us the same morning of our trip to tell us they don't have the car we secured? Don't waste your time using AVIS! They won't have your car and all you will hear is, "I'm sorry, we didn't know!"
