“I was Reffered to Anderson by a local cabinet maker and was told that they will mill your plywood down to size for a very nominal fee , well I have to tell you they absolutely rock when it comes to A1 customer service and a great selection of wood and woodworking tools . I stepped in the door and was greeted in moments asking if I had been helped yet and I replied not yet , the gentleman asked me what I was looking for and showed me all the items I was looking for and the different grades and price options , he then did a work up on the computer showing how many individual pieces I could get out of a sheet ( 18 to be exact ) and proceeded to cut up the piece of import 1/2" birch plywood into 18 pieces wrapped them in plastic and carried them out for me . “I confess I've passed this place hundreds of times without a second thought, but I finally stopped in last week, and I'm glad I did. It's the textbook essence of a mom 'n pop operation, which means personal service by people who really care about treating you right, 'cause this is what they do. It's all they do. I rented a gas powered "jumping jack" compactor, to tamp down some decomposed granite. Brand new device. Worked like a charm. To be fair: because it's such a small place, they might not have *everything* you'd want. So, for example, I'd hoped to rent a vibrating plate compactor, but no luck. They also didn't have any wheelbarrows, which I needed. But the *do* have ladders, which I'll also be needing. So it's a bit hit-and-miss, selection wise. But the personal service is such that I just can't give 'em any fewer than 5 stars.”
