The Courtyard San Jose Cupertino is a convenient and typical Marriott hotel, well-suited for business visits. Its location is excellent, sharing a parking lot with another hotel chain, which is very convenient. The grounds are very clean and manicured, with a beautiful garden in the middle that is a nice place to chill out in the evening.
Rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable, with nothing worn, torn, or stained. A notable feature is the carpet-less floors, which guests appreciate. The staff is friendly and professional, with front desk clerks providing good service and maids offering great cleaning service every day. Check-in and out is easy.
The hotel has a Starbucks in the lobby offering a variety of food items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, the food offerings can be improved, as choices are much less than desired and less than usual for Marriott. There is no continental breakfast, and sometimes there are fewer breakfast options due to mechanical failure.
A common issue mentioned is with the room air conditioning. The thermostat always wants to go cold, even if set high, and it can kick on and off all night, disturbing sleep. While the facilities may be a little old, the hotel has everything you need and is generally recommended.
General remodeled room, but old smell, tolerable for one night. Bed was comfy, slept well. AC unit had to be controlled directly on unit, wall thermostat control was out of order. (Other room was functional.) Nothing special here, okay for passing thru. If longer stay i would probably choose another nearby hotel.

They gave us a handicapped room which we didn't ask for, it had no counter space, closet too low. We should have been told ahead of time.

Staff are nice and accommodating. They do have a good size lobby . Room needs more charging outlets , pillows are little bit used up, but bed is comfy. Nice location too since it’s close to different restaurants/pastry stores.
