“This is a long awaited and well deserved review. I first met Neal in 2016 while I was working through an injury. At that time, I had been training at another CrossFit and was taking time off to recover from the injury. Neal only had a brief discussion with me at the time on how to prevent this injury in the future. This feedback was quite impressionable that I held onto it for 8 years, until I decided it was time to return to CrossFit this year. Neal, Tracy, Ulysses and Dave have been phenomenal with their coaching. They offer a training and nutrition program that delivers results effectively. If you are seeking to improve your health, athletic performance, etcetera. As long as you know your why, listen and put your best effort in the results will follow. If you are having any reservations about your own journey, listen to the voice inside of you, and give the coaches here an opportunity to help. I hope to see you in class soon.”

“WESTCA has been my “Stomping Ground” Gym since 2017. There has been a time I took a LOA for Personal & Private Reasons, but it is a gym that I let loose my charisma while I am doing cardio, let alone that I just would like to be noticed. I have a close connection w/ Tory & some of the Front Desk staff. My MOST FAVORITE MOMENTS are the pictures I get w/ Tory & some of the “‘Bodybuilder’/‘Physique’ Bros in Christ” for Fitness Inspiration & Motivation. Especially when get my pictures w/ them, i have the resources to stay motivated & determined, though I ALWAYS continue to add more.My ONLY issues are the parking (especially that since I can NO LONGER put any trust into the Parking Garage: 1 of them, Car Theft). Additionally, like Tory, I would like to be able to train/workout w/ someone w/ a STRONG & BUFF Physique such that I can stay focused in my workouts since I sometimes find myself distracted while I workout. Most especially that since I work late during the weekdays, I am not able to get a lot done & usually do the same workout every time.Overall, based on everything I said, I am Autistic & just trying to be myself. At the same time, I just need that EXTRA Motivation to help me stay focused in my workouts. “What a wonderful time! We went in as a group for a free trial cardio kickboxing class and it was so much fun. We all agreed that it was something we'd wanna try again! The place is huge, we really liked all the parking that was available. They have different packages that would accommodate your needs. I think if you are on the fence and wanna try something different to get your heart pumping this is worth trying! Go to their website and try a class yourself! They are all so nice and friendly, extremely inviting environment and experience.”

“This aerial studio is my home away from home. I've been coming here for over 2 years now. The community here is so fun and supportive. I've learned a lot of new aerial skills and came upon my love of pole dance when I was at a low point in my life. Turns out getting myself in the air was a great way to keep myself grounded. The instructors are thoughtful and mindful of students' progression and where their limits are, while still encouraging them to go further. It's a clean and large space. You're gonna find some stray glitter from heels or shoes, but that's to be expected. It's always decorated for the holidays (especially Halloween so beware of the scary creatures about). And you're gonna hear a lot of people laughing and generally having a great time. I love it here and I'm so glad my friend referred this place to me.”

“I've been training with Diego for the last six months, and it’s the best gym experience I could ask for! On my first day with Diego, I told him I wanted to deadlift 300 pounds and bench 135. At the time, I was deadlifting less than 200 and benching around 105, so I thought it would take a few years to get to those goals. Last week, I beat them, deadlifting 305 and benching 140. (I also squatted 275!)I didn’t think I’d be able to make so much progress so quickly, but it’s all thanks to Diego. His training plan is ambitious but doable. It’s made me realize that I can push myself way more than I had been when working out on my own. He’s also incredibly knowledgable. He strikes a good balance between working on technique and just letting you lift. I feel like my technique has improved, but I’m not obsessing about every rep or focused on a million cues.I’m also way more accountable. I work out with Diego twice a week and once on my own. Now that I have a set schedule, going to the gym has become second nature—I don’t think about whether I want to go to the gym or whether I feel good, I just go and workout on the days I’m supposed to. It’s given more structure to my week, and it’s taken out the stress of deciding whether to work out on any given day (and then feeling guilty if I don’t).The gym is also great. Everyone is friendly, and there’s always someone willing to spot you. It’s very organized, and everyone is conscious about putting things where they belong, so you don’t have to hunt around for equipment. I come in the mornings, and I’ve never had to wait for a rack or any other equipment. Parking is also free!”

“Amazing atmosphere and the yoga teacher was extremely present and attuned to the class at hand. Had to drop it a star because of price. Paying $33 for a drop in feels absolutely gashing. That's partially on me for not looking up the price before heading in for a class, but never in my wildest dreams could I imagine this tag for a single class. I realize cost of living is high in South Bay, but we all have different financial situations and I know mine will keep me from coming back. Great spot though if you can afford it.”

“This place is awesome. I was looking for a new Muay Thai gym a few years back and was happy I stumbled across Ascend. The owners Chris and Jackie, as well as other family members who help run the classes, are some of the nicest people you'll meet. To top it off, they're extremely knowledgable and have actual MT fight experience. All of the classes are structured in a way to accommodate all skill levels. You don't have to be particularly fit or coordinated as they and all the members of the gym are very patient and helpful when it comes to beginners! If you're nervous to begin, don't be because this gym is extremely welcoming. I would highly recommend Ascend Muay Thai for anyone who has an interest in learning Muay Thai.”

“What a great place! I was recommended this gym during some travels and glad I came to get my workout in. Not only do they have all the equipment one might need (including turf, a sled, even a designated area for med ball throws), but they also have amenities (lockers, showers, sauna, ice bath) and small touches around the space that show someone really had their clientele in mind when putting it all together (reusable water bottles ready to use, towels). “I honestly really love this OTF location. The equipment feels new and clean. The bathrooms, lockers, and water fillers are nice. I haven’t found parking to be very difficult, especially during the mornings. The staff are very sweet and kind. They’ve helped me out quite a few times with HR monitor stuff, rescheduling when I’m sick, talking about membership options, etc. It’s very nice they shout out members’ achievements on the calendar board. The other members are very supportive and friendly as well. The workouts feel challenging, but approachable modifications are provided and everyone goes at the pace that works for them. Overall, it’s a great judgement-free environment. I especially enjoy coach Tim’s classes.

I have a membership, but it’s nice to know this location also offers class packs. I like that my membership allows me access to all OTF locations, and I’ve had an easy time scheduling at other gyms when I travel. The only thing is I wish it were more clear that the membership options have a 2 month minimum. Just be sure to sign up for the one you’ll be able to commit to using :)”
