“I initially joined Barre3 because a friend and I have ClassPass memberships. At first, I was a little intimidated, but I immediately felt welcomed and never experienced any judgment or pressure during class.
One thing I really appreciate is that they provide a space where moms can bring their children. I don’t have children myself, but I think it’s such a thoughtful feature.
The studio is always clean and offers so many nice amenities. The filtered water, mint cold towels, peppermint foot towels, dry shampoo, and makeup wipes are all small touches that make a big difference.
Rachel and Bobbi have become two of my favorite instructors. Their classes are always enjoyable, and I genuinely look forward to coming in. With every class, I feel stronger and more confident in my abilities. I’ve learned to appreciate my body’s progress and celebrate my personal achievements.
I have lupus and fibromyalgia, and I love that the workouts are challenging without being too hard on my body. Barre3 is in my top 3 favorite studios in San Jose!”

At that time, I had been training at another CrossFit and was taking time off to recover from the injury. Neal only had a brief discussion with me at the time on how to prevent this injury in the future. This feedback was quite impressionable that I held onto it for 8 years, until I decided it was time to return to CrossFit this year. Neal, Tracy, Ulysses and Dave have been phenomenal with their coaching. They offer a training and nutrition program that delivers results effectively. Regardless of how busy a class may seem, the coaches pay close attention to every member and give helpful cues to improve your movement and technique. They’ve built a genuinely welcoming community, and the gym itself is kept immaculately clean. In addition to the CrossFit classes, they offer open gym time to work on skills independently and an Olympic lifting class that helped us significantly improve our lifts. “I love orange theory, but I’m obsessed with this location. Not really .. but really. I’ve been a member since this studio opened and can honestly say there is something exceptional about this location. Notably the staff, across the board. It’s always been my favorite studio, but the current manager, Dave, really brought such a good vibe when he came in. He’s extremely personable and takes personal pride in the studio, which he exemplifies by flying around in between classes with his vaccuum backpack and cleaning up after all of us :) The front desk staff is also amazing. 10 out of 10. They are always warm, welcoming and detail oriented. They are all wonderful but special shout out to Marina who has helped me countless times with questions or requests over the years and it’s always so sweet. The coaches here are so special! They bring such good energy. It’s not the same when I go elsewhere. They will correct you, give you cues, and remind you that you can lift heavier. Whether you’ve been here a while, or it’s your first class, they will make you feel like you’re a friend. That’s true of the entire staff.

“I'm fairly new, 6 months in and Croga has gifted me unexpected life changes. When speaking with the owner Cody about my fitness goals, I shared that I felt unhealthy. The programs offer challenging workouts and I am learning every time I go (including Crossfit language). I appreciate the coaches offering corrections to everyone. I hear you Coach Devin telling me to spread and plant my feet! I attend the 6AM classes and it usually has between 4-7 people. We have great laughs during warm up and then all business switching to WOD with loud music, fans running, and the sound of grunts as people push to get through. Coach Nick sneaks up and drops heavier weights next to me encouraging me to go heavy (gah)!! I'm sleeping through the night, improved body composition, and gained energy and focus. It really is the best hour of my day not having to think and dedicating that hour to myself. I walk out of there ready to take on the day. Thank you Croga!”

“Tbh I wanted to try Barry’s but there isn’t one close to me, so I went with OTF. Luckily it’s been a great experience so far. The coaches are really motivating and helpful with correcting posture and movements throughout the classes. The front staff is a bit disengaged but friendly and interaction with them is minimal anyway. The studio itself is clean and there is plenty of free parking. OTF is definitely what you make of it. My main criticism is that there aren’t enough strength classes, they’re always full weeks out. Regardless I’m excited to see how my fitness improves after a few months.”

“Great gym for powerlifter as it as all the equipment needed. Rated it 4 stars only for the difficulty of finding the gym and the dated instructions provided which makes it difficult for visitors coming in the early morning or night as the area is very dimly lit. The instructions provided both on the website and email are dated/incorrect. It’s now its own store front, however, is difficult to find because it is tucked into a strip mall with no signs. You have to go past the sign that says A1 glass and go down that sidewalk and it’s on the left. You can save time by just buying the pass directly on Gym Master instead of the website. Once you’re at the door, you just click “check in” on the app and the door will unlock (as long as you have Bluetooth enabled). The only other downside if you need to workout early in the morning is that you can only buy the pass day of.”
