“Worked with few mechanics over past 35 years. Mostly paid extra and went to original car dealers and later worked with a repair shop in Palo Alto which was awesome but unfortunately shut down when the owner decided to retire. After a few experiments went to Allied ( who actually is the closest to where I live. They are awesome. Our two BMWs and my Porsche are in great hands!!”

“The best. Honest to a fault - had multiple instances where I had a check engine light and they traced it to some minor issue (cable loose, ect) with minimal cost- where many shops no doubt would charge up the wazoo. Great to work with. Cannot recommend highly enough.”

Kevin and Tony are quick at understanding even the most complex issues, figuring out the best price to fix and then their team does a fantastic job. Over the last 20 years, they have worked on many different cars of mine (Subarus, fords, BMW) and with every fix they understand my needs and help to make the best decisions. “This is the place to go, the guy knows his stuff and is super kind. This is a long over due review but I'm in awe of the quality of work. In January 2018, he did a transmission rebuild on my 2005 Toyota corolla. He knew exactly what light was on and what it meant. He did such a great job that when I went to have the car serviced at Toyota for something else they asked me if I had installed a new engine!! They said the undercarriage was super clean. I’ve since gave the car to my mother and she is still currently driving it in 2024 with no problems ever with the transmission! Thank you do much and I'm sorry it took me so long to write this review.”

“Bay Area Motors is the only place I let touch my German cars. They kept my 2008 Audi A6 running years after it should have died. I take my replacement Porsche Macan S, bought after William at BAMW, brought the Macan S to my attention when my Audi finally died. BAMW is not cheap but it is very fairly priced, I have had William tell me that I didn't need specific things done and he undoubtedly saved me a great deal of money over the 15 years that I have used his service. He is the one thing that is far too elusive, an honest car repair service.”

“I never write reviews but Michael was exceptional so I wanted to write about my experience here!Michael was extremely thorough and has a very kind demeanor (something I haven’t encountered much with mechanics). His pre purchase inspection saved me from buying a car with lots of invisible issues that I couldn't tell from test driving it. No pressure to do any services at his shop and very transparent throughout the process. Price was very fair too, half of what others were charging, and no upselling to get work done at his shop specifically. He even looked up an estimate for the specific issue on the car to give me an idea of the cost of the repair all without pressuring me to have the fix done at his shop. Very professional and honest 10/10 service. I'll be back when I'm in the area again.”

“I was going through my 'Car Stuff' folder in my computer while searching for something and came across some un-filed stuff on a Cadillac I own and drive every day. I have the canceled check and invoice for the re-built transmission Puzant at Dale's Transmission did for me back in 2012. The transmission is still purring along perfectly over 9 years later and I calculated that comes to 89¢ per day and each day I drive the car, that goes down. Thanks for the good job Puzant. I always recommend you when someone says they have a tranny problem. I'll include a photo. Maybe you'll remember this car.”

“I took my car in for an oil change and transmission flush - and saw that the front wheel fork was in bad shape when they hoisted the car up.Al gave me a very fair estimate for the car, and a loaner for the duration of the repair.
Then, while putting the parts in, they noticed that two of the bolts were stripped, and they had to order new bolts from Mercedes. This took an additional 2 days, and added only around 80$ to the repair. Al let me keep the loaner car till my repairs were done!
I know from experience that nobody else would keep a car back for 2 days for an extra 80$ in repairs - these are some of the most professional people I have seen. I will definitely be bringing my car here again.”
