“I’ve been to this location before and had been impressed in the past, but today, I knew I needed to leave a review - I had the pleasure of meeting Macy, Israel and Freddy - all of which treated me with great kindness, were all knowledgeable and ensured all the loose ends were tied up before sending me on my way. They worked well together, asking questions and figuring things out in a group as opposed to solo. They worked efficiently, yet still took the time to make my visit a personal one, giving my sweet doggy some attention! I felt they did a thorough job today, and balanced it well with making me feel important. We all shared great smiles and that enhanced all of our days too! These guys/girls know what they are doing and enjoy their “jobs” at the same time! I highly recommend going to this location (and remember you may get in return what you give out, so show up with a smile/kindness and you’ll surely get the same treatment!)”

“I am blown away at how honest and helpful Dominic is at Jay's. I've always gone to only the dealership for my Infiniti but when I found out I needed a new catalytic converter and it was going to cost $3000, I decided to look outside the dealership to get some quotes. Based on the reviews, I called Jay's. Dominic was incredibly helpful and although I asked for a quote for the work, he suggested that we try cleaning this catalytic converter with a product called CataClean that I could try on my own and may prevent the need for the costly repairs. My car gas 173,700 miles on it and I needed to get a smog check to renew my registration at the end of the month. I need to get this taken care of quickly. Dominic told me what to do on my own and checked to make sure the cleaner worked. I purchased the product on my own (per his guidance) and his instructions were clear and it allowed me to pass the smog inspection. I am elated!! And Dominic did not charge me a penny. He gave the advice for free to avoid the repairs. I was ready to spend thousands if needed because I thought I had to. Dominic could made money on me - but instead, told me how to avoid it. I feel like I was treated like a sister or a friend. I am blown away by this experience. I now know who I will go to for any car maintenance and repairs - these guys have integrity and great values. Naum in particular was great in every respect. Explained everything prior to starting. While servicing the staff was loud and clear, double checked everything and was out the bay in 20 minutes. If you need a quick oil change- this is your place !!!”

“Carlos Klink and his wife who works at the front desk are genuinely helpful and kind. One of my engine's piston/cylinder was not firing on the eve of New Year's Eve just as I was driving back to Colorado from San Clemente to beat a winter storm -- when my engine light started to flash. Carlos diagnosed my issue immediately, identified the defective part (the coil) and replaced it on the spot within 2 hours. I am grateful for his expedited service with minimal cost.”

“These folks are the best! I was having trouble starting my van. Kevin and (Marcus?) looked at it right away and quickly determined that the bolt to my new battery (installed elsewhere) was stripped, resulting in an intermittent connection. It wouldn't require an expensive repair, as I had assumed. They replaced the bolt at no charge and added air to my tires as an added bonus. The woman at the front desk was amazing as well. She had a soothing manner which was very much appreciated as I get quite stressed whenever the Silver Bullet isn't operating at a top quality level. Thanks, guys!”

“I want thank and compliment the staff at Capistrano Tire & Brake. I live in Banning and was driving to pickup my wife at the daughter's house in Alisio Viejo after they returned from San Francisco. Because of heavy traffic, I decided I would take the Ortega Highway. Just as I got to San Juan Capistrano, the low tire indicator light came on and the timing was terrible, it was 4:30 PM. I checked on my phone for a place that was close and found a place 5 minutes away. I got to the place and explained my problem, thinking i had a tire going flat. I was told they were closing but there was another tire company at the next light south. I went there where the man at the desk said they close at 6:00 PM and had 4 more cars to work on. He directed me to Capistrano Tire and Brake by Trader's Joe. I got there and explained my problem. Them man at the desk took my information, the keys to the car and 20 minutes later the car was checked and fix, only problem was all tires were low on air. The man who checked the tires filled the tires and there was no charge. I am 72 years old, have a disability, but I think this is the service this company and staff always provide. It reminds me how nice people can be and took me back 60 years to the service some companies gave at no charge. Thank you today for helping me in moment of need.”

“I brought my 23 audi S4 here for an oil change, price was right only $150 keep in mind thats 8qt of synthetic oil. They didn't have my oil filter in stock and were very up front about that. The gentleman went to an auto parts store just to pick up the new filter. I would recommend this place”
“I got estimates From Honda for my van and Ford for my Mercury. Then I went to Dana Point Automotive as they had won our town's Best auto repair for many years. So thankful I went to them. Honda told me I had to replace the timing belts, replace power steering pump, repair leaking transaxle. Those repairs were over 3 thousand dollars, and that did not include the AC compressor, or the AC evaporator. Eric at Dana Point Auto said the transaxle was not leaking and nothing wrong with the power steering pump. He replace a hose and an O ring for $25 versus the 1000 dollars to replace the power steering pump at Honda. Eric said the AC evaporator was good and did not need to be replaced. So my total bill was a fraction of what it would have been at Honda. I took my Mercury in and encountered the same situations. I was told the transaxle on Mercury was leaking but it was the transmission oil cooler. He did a complete service on the Mercury at a fraction of what the quoted charges at Ford were. In this day of not being able to trust anyone, it was most rewarding to encounter an honest businessman. They are not the cheapest, but Eric does not pad the bill, and most importantly they do not fix anything that is not broken. I think Dana Point Auto rightfully earns the award of Best Automotive Repair Business in Dana Point. I am a 37 year resident of Dana Point, CA. Patrick. My vehicles run like new and no leaks.
