“Wonderful people and service!I had to slam the breaks and ended up spilling a gallon of water into the back of my car from a bottle. I was desperate to make sure I dry the interior out properly and didn’t know what to do on a late Tuesday evening. Ruben’s happened to be close to me and so I came over late and asked them to help me take the seat out and dry my car. Even though it was past their business hours and it was late, Rafael and his team were so incredibly nice and helped me. They let me keep my car in their garage over night to run the dehumidifier in it, they took my entire backseat out and the next day they helped me install it again and made sure everything was fine. They did all this free of charge! The whole team was so friendly and kind!I will definitely return here for service in the future!”

“Not sure what's wrong with all these people that left poor reviews. Pete was super friendly and knowledgeable on the phone. Told me he would have the parts by the afternoon. He called within 2 hours and said they were there early and asked me if I need help installing them in the parking lot. They don't make part shops like this anymore where people actually know their a****** from their ear hole”

“I got estimates From Honda for my van and Ford for my Mercury. Then I went to Dana Point Automotive as they had won our town's Best auto repair for many years. So thankful I went to them. Honda told me I had to replace the timing belts, replace power steering pump, repair leaking transaxle. Those repairs were over 3 thousand dollars, and that did not include the AC compressor, or the AC evaporator. Eric at Dana Point Auto said the transaxle was not leaking and nothing wrong with the power steering pump. He replace a hose and an O ring for $25 versus the 1000 dollars to replace the power steering pump at Honda. Eric said the AC evaporator was good and did not need to be replaced. So my total bill was a fraction of what it would have been at Honda. I took my Mercury in and encountered the same situations. I was told the transaxle on Mercury was leaking but it was the transmission oil cooler. He did a complete service on the Mercury at a fraction of what the quoted charges at Ford were. In this day of not being able to trust anyone, it was most rewarding to encounter an honest businessman. They are not the cheapest, but Eric does not pad the bill, and most importantly they do not fix anything that is not broken. I think Dana Point Auto rightfully earns the award of Best Automotive Repair Business in Dana Point. I am a 37 year resident of Dana Point, CA. Patrick. My vehicles run like new and no leaks. “Ok, here's the deal- the guy who runs this does his own work, is his own boss, is funnier than hell, and the kind of naturally smiling pleasant, even happy kind of guy that brings a smile to your face just being around him:) AND, all that aside, he's been doing this for years, is quite the artist, takes less than an hour, and it took me several minutes to find where the chip had been in the windshield! In short he KNOWS what he is doing, comes right to your car, and is most likely the most pleasant auto related experience, you will ever have :) I'm coming up seventy years old now, been around a bit, been more than a few places, seen more than a few things, have restored a number of my own cars and let me tell you, like the star rating above, ..this IS 'as good as it gets!!!'.”
