“Brought my wife's Audi Q5 in for service and wanted to know what needed to be done. I was not happy with prior service done by the dealership and felt ripped off. Rich was great and took the time to explain what needed to be done and how making decisions based solely on time as opposed to mileage/usage was an eye opener. I wished I would've come here sooner since I could've saved a lot of money getting the service I needed rather than unnecessary work done on the car. I will definitely be back and bring our other cars in too.”

“Pretty glad I found this place. I was referred here by a friend. I was looking for someone check out my breaks and she swore to it, this guy is so good because he’s honest. I’m very happy to finally find an honest mechanic. I’ve never had a surprised bill, or a surprise thing that needed fixing out of nowhere. Also, I just bought a used car the last week and even though it was pre-certified, I decided to get it checked out here. I didn’t have an appointment and it was the hour before closing, but the owner squeezed in my car anyway for a quick look. Now I’m at peace. I highly recommend them.”

“Jad was super helpful, generous with his time, and wasn't about the money. Came here for a second opinion on a kind of mysterious issue. Jad said he can take a look real quick and see if he can figure out the issue before charging a diagnostic fee like most shops do straight away. He and another mechanic seemed to figure out the issue and then he gave some advice based on his experience about whether it's worth getting it fixed or not. He actually said it wasn't given all the info like how much I drive, cost of repairs, value of car, etc. All this for free. Definitely going back here if have anything that actually needs to get done. Highly recommended.”

“doug and his team are very informed in what they do and can be counted on to do the job correctly with a quick turnaround.
i dropped off my cummins pickup after over tightening a fitting and cracking the case. they had the transmission out quickly and within a couple days had it torn down and were able to inform me i was going to need a full rebuild rather than the case swap i had come in for. they did not hesitate to send pictures of the smoked clutches and any evidence backing their claim.
they had my truck done in under a week and the price was fair for the quality of work and customer service i received. the technician that performed repairs on my truck also answered any questions that i had so it’s always a plus to get to talk to them. i’d bring them any of my vehicles for transmission work and recommend them to anyone looking.”
“Fantastic experience with these guys. I just moved to Pleasanton and then my transmission went out. I have a good friend in Modesto who owns a transmission shop. I called them to ask if the price I was given from Pleasanton Transmission was reasonable. He told me that it was actually surprisingly low, and I needed to be sure that everything was included. It turns out that everything was indeed included. Very fair prices, and they seem to have done a great job with my transmission repair!
The owner came to me afterwards and shook my hand and thanked me for my business.

“Although I no longer live in the Bay Area, I want to highlight my experience with Kevin & Conner's shop. If I had to choose one word to describe working with Kevin, it would be HONEST. He never tries to upsell unnecessary services. For example, when my previous vehicle (an Audi with just over 100k miles and high maintenance costs) started giving me trouble, I asked Kevin for his advice. He gave me a straightforward, neutral perspective without pushing me in either direction.
If you're looking for a mechanic who lures you in with a low estimate only to surprise you later with unexpected charges, this is not that place. Kevin is upfront, reliable, and trustworthy.
Over the years, he serviced multiple vehicles for me and even helped me purchase a new car. If I still lived in the area, I would not hesitate to go back.
The only con is that they are busy which is a byproduct of several years of goodwill.”
“Johnny and the rest of the team are as good as it gets. Fixed a dent in my door that caused the window not to seal when it was up. Entire process took less than 60 seconds and Johnny didn't even want payment for it. Only body shop in the east bay that I'll use going forward”
“I needed regular maintenance for my 2019 Toyota Highlander. I've used Stress-Free before and they have always been reliable. So I called, made an appointment and went in last week. What I needed only required 1.5 hours, so I chose to go get breakfast and wait. During that time, I received several updates via text including pictures. They advised me on what I needed to do soon on the car as well as maintenance I could delay. It was an easy and pleasant experience. I will bring my other car in soon.”
“I really like them But if you’re getting your warranty there, 1 use your name on the warranty or I could delay you getting your car too. If that’s your only car definitely get a rental I end up having to pay about $75-$80 to get back-and-forth there twice plus pay 600 and something dollars for Other things so for a single mom that was really a dipper for me. You should call your warranty and make sure that everything is moving accordingly if you were a person that definitely need your car quick work with them. Do not just suspect for them to do everything or it would take a lot of time cause that $80 I could’ve really used for me and my children, but they do work fast and I really like that. I really feel that they are not a company that tries to extort money out of you and I will recommend this company for a lot of people to go to but as soon as you get your warranty, FYI, just get you a rental if it comes with your warranty and make sure if something is denied in your warranty that is not because it needs to be done by the manufacturer and that’s where we kind of. Had a difference in communication when I talked to the warranty people that two of my things that needed to be fixed that was not covered was only denied because it needed to be fixed by the manufacturer and if I did not talk to my warranty company, I would’ve never knew and thought I would’ve had to pay out-of-pocket so you need to communicate with your warranty company as well as communicating with them so you have a full understanding if something is not covered. But this is a great place and everything was fixed within 3 to 4 days. I believe they’re very quick very decent people and very kind and very Family Friend friendly.”

“I have been bringing different cars here for many years. I started out with them when they were by the Oakland airport because I lived in Oakland. I still live in Oakland and yet I drive to Hayward because I trust Romeo and his team more than any other mechanic I've ever had. They are extremely reliable, reasonable, upfront, friendly, and make you feel like you are getting good value for your money. They never try to push things on you that you might not need. They are very accommodating in terms of labor costs and always try to get you the cheapest price possible. The other thing is how fast they do the work. Rarely have I had to leave my car longer than a day. I will continue to use Romeo and North American Motors to take care of whatever car I have and I recommend that if anybody needs a really good mechanic, this is the place to go!”
