As an agency principal working with Covered California, I offer Sharp Health Plan to my clients. While Sharp has made meaningful improvements to its broker portal, there are still some technological limitations that make it difficult to provide a fully seamless, start-to-finish service experience. For example, the inability to select a primary care physician during enrollment- both on CoveredCA and within the broker portal- creates additional steps for both agents and members.
As an agency, we pride ourselves on being full-service and guiding our clients through every part of the process. Gaps like these can make that more challenging.

“I recently went to Coastal Live Scan to get fingerprinting done and it was super quick and easy! First, I scheduled an appointment online through their website, which allows you to choose a day and time on when you want to come in for your services (note: you can also schedule an appointment by calling their number as well). The day of my appointment, I got an email saying I had to reschedule. Life happens! I simply rescheduled for the next day around the same time frame. Day of appointment went smoothly. As soon as I arrived, the lady who was working there (I believe it was Khan) asked for my paperwork, identification, and went to work.
