All of my family loved coming to Smart & Final for the amazing fresh produce, tidiness of the store, and great meat selections, but this isn't the only time that we have encountered such horrible customer service from the same individual, it's been multiple and it seems like nothing is getting done about it. I regret to inform you that the behavior and conduct exhibited by one of your cashiers, Maria, was nothing short of appalling. From the moment I approached her checkout counter, it was evident that Maria was disinterested, bothered, and displayed a blatantly rude attitude. Her demeanor made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable as a customer. In addition to her lack of professionalism, Maria's tone of voice and choice of words were completely inappropriate for an employee in a customer service role. Allow me to outline the specific instances of Maria's unprofessional behavior that left a lasting negative impression: 1. Lack of basic courtesy: Maria did not greet or acknowledge me when I approached the checkout counter, which immediately set the tone for the encounter. It is disheartening to be treated with indifference by a representative of your establishment. 2. Displaying irritation: Throughout the transaction, Maria consistently exhibited signs of annoyance, as if my presence was an inconvenience to her. This was evident in her sighs, eye-rolling, and visibly irritated facial expressions. 3. Inappropriate language: At one point, I politely asked Maria a question regarding an item, to which she responded with a dismissive and condescending remark. I found her choice of words completely unacceptable, and it was disheartening to receive such a response as a paying customer. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but the degree of rudeness and disrespect exhibited by Maria was beyond what any customer should be subjected to. As someone who frequently visits your store and values the quality of service, I am deeply disappointed by this experience.

I have never made a Yelp account but I was so frustrated with a particular employee that I felt obliged to let others know. The manager PATRICK has the WORST customer service, very rude and dismissive. I am appalled. I was with my daughters who stated they felt very uncomfortable with him. I will not be shopping here any longer. Be careful girls...

Very bad service ? the truth is they don't sell wine, beer or liquor to people with consular registration or other identification that is not from California, there is pure racism, really... how bad

I love shopping here. I mainly aim for sales so I make a point to come here if it works in my favor of course. Place is really clean and smells refreshing. Customer service is a mixed bag but I usually get at the very least prompt ring up.

Theolder lady that always works the register that is 10 items or less. Is always rude. I try not to go through there when I shop there, but sometimes I’m in a hurry and it is inevitable .it feels to me like she doesn’t like to work there because she’s always grouchy so sad because I like going there the majority of the other staff are very courteous.And this is not only today I mean all the times that I go through there. She is pretty rude very bad customer service. Maybe Patrick should have a talk with her.

I shop at this store a lot for a local business and have never been so humiliated in my life by a check out person as I was with DELIA. I called earlier in the day to make sure there was a case of cantaloupe, a case of hone dew melons and a case of pineapple ready for me to pick up. The store put me on hold for a few minutes and verified they had all the case items I needed. I proceeded to the store and got in line to check out. DELIA had never waited on me in the past and I had indicated she needed to get the item case codes from her book behind the register. She SMARTED off to me and told me she needed to check my cart. I explained that the items were ALL case items and they could not be rung up separately. Her ATTITUDE proceeded to get WORSE! People in line started screaming profanities at ME. While it was NOT my issue. She the cried for the manager on the store intercom. I will NO LONGER be using this store for purchases. I always try to spend money in Delano instead of Bakersfield. DELIA has left me and my employees NO choice.

Prices are exceedingly high. I saw canteloupes in poor condition either green or too ripe. $1.29 seemed ok so I grabbed 2. At the register I was told they were $1.29 a pound or more than $5 each. Ridiculous!!!
