Interesting floor plans, restrained and tasteful, yet modern-age decor. I would love to spend a weekend sometime! The nearby event center is also quite nice. All together, a relaxing place and nice people. A Modernist Week win for us!

What can I say about this place other than it is the most beautiful vacation accommodation I have ever seen! Contrary to the majority of opinions here, my experience is not linked to a wedding but to a simple vacation rental.
I spent three nights in unit #1 (the best if you ask me!) and it was EXCEPTIONAL. Being a big admirer of Lautner and modern architecture in general, I was simply in heaven. Tracy and Ryan have done an extraordinary job of renovation, allowing us to preserve all the soul of the place. The interior design work done by Tracy is also wonderful, each piece of furniture/object is of high quality and helps to highlight the beauty and character of the place.
It was a unique experience and I'm only waiting for one thing... To leave Paris again and come back here as soon as possible!

Came here for a wedding, the only downside to this venue was just the sheer wind that kept coming the entire evening. It’s not the venues fault or anything bc everything about it was amazing. Great staff and beautiful place.

The new owners have done an amazing job of renovating true to the original build. Do t just the rooms by the website photos as they are so much more beautiful than the photos can convey.

We had the most magical wedding at the Lautner Compound. Tracy, the owner, is so kind and very responsive. She also routinely makes design updates to keep up with trends. We had a micro wedding with her but hired all of our vendors individually. She does have a preferred vendor list now, all of whom we used since they were familiar with the property and the rules. However, they can host up to 300 people if you want to have a big wedding. They have an upper area and a lower level next to where most people have their ceremony. My girls and I enjoyed getting ready in the ranch house and my husband and his best man got ready in a Lautner living unit which is incredibly taken care of. I only wish we booked to stay the night in one of the units. You can’t beat dancing the night away under the desert stars. You do need to think about outdoor lighting and she has a preferred vendor for that as well as a generator to keep the lights on. If you love mid century modern architecture this is the place for you. The grounds are well maintained and it’s really an ideal space to make your own. We can’t recommend this venue enough. Do yourself a favor and schedule a tour with Tracy. You won’t regret it. They are closed in the summer months due to extreme heat. So keep that in mind when considering your date.

I still can't believe how perfect our wedding day was at The Lautner Compound! It was the ideal venue for our wedding. We loved that we could take amazing Bride and Groom pictures in the John Lautner units and have a beautiful outdoor wedding in the desert. Tracy was awesome to work with and we feel like she's part of the family now! We couldn't have asked for better. Our guests were in awe of the stunning desert view, and we were lucky enough to have perfect weather. We highly recommend The Lautner Compound and can't wait to come back for future celebrations. It's worth the investment for a beautiful, love-filled weekend!

I had my wedding at the Lautner Compound and would highly recommend it! Tracy, the venue owner, and her team keeps the place in pristine shape, and it is a unique venue space with beautiful photo opportunity in every corner. It was also great working with Tracy during the planning process. Beyond maintaining the venue, she was very helpful in recommending additional vendors and sharing insights on details like table design and timeline. Tracy genuinely wants to help the bride and groom, and she was always great in answering all the questions I had.On the wedding day, the venue manager, Jules, made us feel so comfortable at the Club House, checking in often to make sure we had everything we needed. I'm so glad I chose to have my wedding here, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a superbly managed venue!PC: Takke PhotographyFloral Design: Studio Kate

My son and daughter-in-law got married here two weeks ago. It could not have been a more perfect day! The venue is modern and elegant. Tracy has done an amazing job with the design and detail. She made sure we were happy every step of the way. The bridal house is decorated beautifully and has everything you need. The hair and makeup area was a great space to have. It was also nice to have a groom’s house for his wedding party. The layout is perfect and transitions easily from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. I’m looking forward to seeing all of the amazing photos!

My younger brother very recently chose to have his wedding at The Lautner Compound, and I have to say that my experience was nothing short of appalling. Tracy, the owner of the venue, displayed an astonishing level of rudeness and disrespect towards the bride and groom's family, as well as all the guests. It was truly a nightmare from start to finish.Firstly, the lack of parking at the venue was a major inconvenience. The venue was a 30-40 minute drive from the large house where we were all staying to be able to accommodate both families. Guests are forced to arrive by bus. Tracy became upset when the bride and groom's immediate family arrived with the groom two hours before the ceremony. There was no valid reason for her reaction, as they were simply sitting quietly and conversing with each other, out of everyone's way.She rudely greeted the groom's uncle, who happened to be the officiant of the wedding, when he arrived early. Interrupting the father of the bride in the middle of his speech was another prime example of Tracy's lack of professionalism. She demanded that he step onto the dance floor, even though he was perfectly visible from his table.Another one of many shocking incidents occurred when Tracy yelled at the groom's sister for using the provided steamer to steam her husband's jacket. Mind you, this was two hours before the ceremony was scheduled to start. There was no reason for her to react with such aggression and disrespect.Tracy's behavior continued to deteriorate throughout the event and extended beyond the ceremony itself. At the after-party inside the house, she physically grabbed the groom's close friend by his face in a confrontational manner, simply for attempting to connect to the Bluetooth speaker. This level of aggression and unnecessary force was unacceptable. To make matters worse, Tracy refused to allow the groom's sister-in-law to retrieve her bag from the back house where the hair and makeup studio was located. As guests were leaving and preparing to catch the bus back, Tracy slammed the sliding door on her, resulting in a hand injury. This was a clear display of not only rudeness but also a complete disregard for the safety and well-being of the guests.I was appalled to discover that my experience was not an isolated incident. Multiple guests shared their own negative experiences with Tracy. Even her staff had terrible things to say about her. It is evident that she lacks the basic understanding of customer service and how to treat guests with respect and courtesy.Furthermore, the negative impact of Tracy's behavior extended beyond the wedding guests. The hair and makeup team, who were hired outside of the included event team, to provide their services, expressed their strong dissatisfaction with Tracy and stated that they would never return to provide their services if the wedding was being held at the venue in the future, speaking volumes about the unprofessionalism and toxicity. It is deeply concerning when even the hired professionals refuse to associate themselves with a venue due to the owner's behavior. This revelation only further solidifies the notion that Tracy's behavior is not an isolated incident, but rather a consistent pattern of disrespect and mistreatment towards both guests and vendors. It is a clear indication that the issues at this venue run deep and are rooted in the owner's unprofessionalism.Couples who value a harmonious and enjoyable wedding experience should seriously reconsider choosing The Lautner Compound, if they want to avoid the same mistreatment and potential loss of reputable vendors.I strongly advise against choosing this venue for any special occasion. Tracy's rude and unprofessional behavior cast a dark cloud over what should have been a joyous and memorable day. Couples and their families deserve better treatment and a venue that values their happiness and satisfaction.
