Embassy Suites by Hilton Los Angeles Downey offers spacious and comfortable rooms, making it an ideal choice for families. The suites feature two queen beds, a pullout sofa bed, and a door separating the bedroom from the living area, providing good noise separation. The rooms are generally clean and well-sized, with a nice balcony and a typical luxury look. The hotel’s design is unique, built around a central lookout that overlooks the spacious lobby, which is welcoming and friendly. Guests praise the friendly and professional staff, including housekeeping, maintenance, and food service teams, who are attentive and courteous. The breakfast is highly appreciated, described as great and amazing, with some noting the evening reception as a positive aspect. The common areas are nice, and the hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and bars within walking distance, making it easy to explore local options. However, there are some drawbacks. The property appears a bit dated, with issues like broken elevators and poor workmanship in some rooms. Some guests experienced bad WiFi, especially initially, and found the breakfast service to be slow and the breakfast hours limited. The heavy dinnerware and long lines for breakfast omelets were noted as inconveniences. Additionally, some rooms had issues like poor water pressure, missing towels, and small bathrooms, which could be uncomfortable for larger guests. Overall, the hotel provides a good experience with friendly service, clean rooms, and great amenities, though it could benefit from updates and better maintenance.
It’s one of the a few hotels with specious rooms with 2 queen beds and a pullout sofa bed. Breakfast is good and the common are is nice.

The property is a bit dated. The elevator broke during our stay we spent a good amount of time always waiting for the one working elevator. The breakfast was great as was the evening reception.
