My name is Ivan and I can confidently, unequivocally say that galaxy games is a true home away from home. I started playing magic the gathering again about two years ago and I went to Galaxy to try and play a couple games for the first time in years thanks to the pandemic. I was extremely scared and nervous because I was new and I clearly wasn’t as experienced and knowledgeable as some of the other players. But when I sat down at a table with some of the regulars I met some of the kindest, well spirited and funny people there. I was actually atrocious at the game however they welcomed my mistakes with open arms. I never have felt so comforted playing a game that I love quite like I have at galaxy. They have the widest array of board games, card games and more nerdy accessories galore. The people and regulars here are some of the best people ever. A major part of galaxy games for me though besides the customers are the staff. Kellen, Steve and Nico are truly fantastic. Plenty of my friends have gone to the store and I’ve never heard anything negative about any of them. They are all so great and I could go on and on however nobody would want to read all of that. So I’ll say this. Wherever you are it is truly an experience more than a game store. The people I’ve met, the games I’ve played, and the stories I have from Galaxy I will remember and cherish forever. Every week I make it not just a habit but a reward to walk the mile and a half from my house to galaxy just for this. So take it from me and just make the trip, trek or commute to Galaxy Games.

Since my partner introduced me to Magic: The Gathering in August 2023, Galaxy Games has become our go-to spot every Friday and some Sundays. Nestled in Dublin, CA, it's a haven for MTG enthusiasts within a 50-mile radius. Visitors from Sacramento or San Jose often make the trek to experience this mini card sanctuary. The staff, a fantastic quartet, adds charm to the shop:Kellen, The OwnerSteve, DnD and LARP Master, and Junior MTG JudgeNicco, Yu-Gi-Oh and Smash Bros FanaticMac, The Dog, the adorable Galaxy Games MascotDespite the shop's size and bustling atmosphere, the staff's professionalism and efficiency shine. Some may misinterpret their focus as aloofness, but in reality, they're dedicated to ensuring your card orders are promptly fulfilled—even forgoing meals. During downtime, they reveal their engaging personalities and a wealth of knowledge about the games they offer.Galaxy Games isn't just an MTG haven; it's a home away from home. Fridays and Sundays are eagerly anticipated hangout sessions for me. Beyond MTG, the shop offers a diverse array of board games, Yu-Gi-Oh/Lorcana/Final Fantasy/Flesh and Blood booster and starter packs. They don't stock video games. Also, a quick call to check inventory is advisable if you're making a trek.To those with initial reservations, I urge a second visit. Discover the magic of Fridays during commander and draft night. The regulars swear by the shop's greatness, and I wholeheartedly agree—it's a gem with amazing people that make every visit memorable.

I went in to get some Pokemon cards for my son and the rather large balding fellow working on this day, seemed rather unhappy about the fact I went up to him to check out or ask questions about the various ETBs they had displayed. This had seemed to have either interfered with either his phone time at a stand alone table he was located at or with his ability to play Magic the card gathering game with the individuals playing there. Regardless, neither would personally bother me as I got what I wanted in a timely manor at my request. But, the attitude when checking out is what I found rather disheartening as if it was a complete bother my existence happened to have walked through door for Pokemon cards and he had to deal with a customer.

They have great magic events like commander nights every Friday, and drafting. They also have other events but I mostly go here for Magic. Pretty good selection of magic cards at fair market prices. Selling singles you get about 65% value of the cards which is standard at most card shops. Both people that work there have been very friendly so far and I've been going l weekly/biweekly for the past 2 months or so. Happy to have found a fun game shop I like near me.

This place was AMAZING but the only thing that sucked was the wifi. But I played in a tournament and I got a whole bunch cool cards. I highly recommend this place for magic.

I am giving this store 3/5 Stars. I like the events this store offers (which is 5/5) but this store service is lackluster. The employee (there are probably 2 workers at this store) takes their sweet time, when ordering singles. I was the only person at the store and let the employee know that I placed my order (immediately) in which he sat down on his phone doing something. In my order cart I only had 5 cards, yet he took around 30 minutes to complete my order. Sometimes the lack of service makes me not want to Buy single cards from here.

Went here with my son to get a MTG starter kit and Galaxy Games had exactly what we needed. Got some really cool dice to play with, too. They seemed to have anything you could need for playing the game, plus they had tons of awesome looking board games. We will definitely be visiting again soon for more card packs and sets. Thanks, Galaxy Games.

I recently took a collection of magic cards here hoping for a fair deal. Unfortunately, the experience was disheartening. The associate offered me an insulting amount. Despite the low-ball offer, I decided to sell the cards anyway. I won't be returning here with another box I have and will sell the rest on Ebay. I would caution others to explore alternative options. Transparency and respect should be paramount in any business, but this store fell short of those expectations.

Prices too high (25% more expensive than a lgs store < 5mi nearby, 4 draft boosters rang me up for $32 + tax), and service not great, I had to wait 5 min to be rang up when there was no line and the person at the front was handling some emails on his computer.EDIT: In response to the owner, it was baldurs gate draft packs. It was on Aug 12th, 2022. It was 5 draft booster packs for a total of $38.18, which equates to about $7 per pack + tax. Baldurs gate MTG was already out for 2 months already. and as many of you know, the set is not a popular set. I went to King Kong Games the next day, and they had it for $6 per pack. For reference, Channel Fireball/Card Shop Live in Santa Clara has Baldurs Gate MTG for $4 per pack, but I needed to get them ASAP as my friend event was happening in a few minutes.I do not need to rectify this, I just want to clarify the owner's response. I had a funny feeling the price was high when I was paying nearly $40 for 5 packs, and my thoughts were verified when checking with other stores. I wrote this review to describe my unsatisfied experience to inform others. This store charges much higher prices than other stores, and looking at the back and forth responses the owner is trying to have with me, you can see the service isn't great.

Galaxy Games is always my first stop!Kell and Steven always take excellent care of us. When I am looking for a MTG card, they have tracked it down for me! They have great card sleeves, the hottest sets, space for game play, and filled with good people. When I have an expensive card to trade in, the store credit is perfect for building my next commanderdeck! You are in good hands at Galaxy Games!

Fun and inviting. Plus the owner has a dog that loves everyone so that is big plus.

Amazing store! Lots of wonderful board games, trading cards, and plenty of other shiny little doodads that make it a really fun environment to play a game or go to peruse! I mainly go there for MTG singles and the two guys who I've seen working there are very knowledgeable and incredible patient while pulling the obscure cards I select from their database of cards at the front. Honestly best gaming store in town, I only wish they were open 7 days a week!

Galaxy is me and my friends new go to gaming shop. An amazing selection of MtG singles available and always stocked full on packs and sleeves. After multiple visits, both the owner Kel, and Steven are quick and attentive in pulling some massive lists we've put in. Thought I must say the cherry on top is Mac, a sweet pup who greets every guest at the door. Really a great spot.
