If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. DO NOT take anything of any importance in to get framed. I took in my DEAD grandma's scarf to get framed and they RIPPED it. I spent $300 on discount and was supposed to be a professional job but now a sentimental item is completely ruined. Not only that, they neglected to tell me that they f*cked it up. I went in to pick up my item and they told me I couldn't pick it up until the manager called me to say that it was ready. Weeks later I went in again and they acted like they couldn't find it. I had to demand it and they showed me a ripped product. Just an absolutely ridiculous experience for framing. I will be getting my money back and I'm guessing they will have to pay the $250 liability but I wish I could sue them. Nothing can replace the important item I lost due to negligence.

I came in having trouble finding a challenging item. I had been to several stores with no success. Upon entering Michael's, I was greeted by an associate. He then gave me details on some of the places I could look in the store for inspiration. After some browsing I asked another associate where to find a specific animal. I walked to the isle and grabbed the exact item I needed. Upon check out I asked for an associate instead of self check because that is what I prefer. The associate who checked me out was fast, friendly, and able to answer my questions about merchandise. I left feeling wonderful. I am a very happy customer who will gladly return again. The store was clean, organized, well stocked, and items were easy to find. This store is being managed very well!

On 01-15-2024, I was shopping in the Michaels store located in Dublin CA. I was there specifically to use a "30% off entire purchase" coupon that I had and that was expiring on that day. I made the trip to Dublin from Tracy because the Tracy store no longer had in stock the yarn I was using for a blanket I was making and I needed additional skeins for it. I found a few skeins of what I needed but not the entire amount. I went up to the register to purchase these items and was assisted by a very nice young man named Erin. I presented my coupon and he scanned it along with the four skeins I was purchasing. He informed me that the coupon was not working because the yarn I was purchasing was now "buy one, get one 50% off". This of course was not as good as the 30% off entire purchase. I pointed out that the coupon specifically said it was valid through the 15th and that I just used it the day prior at the Michaels in Tracy. He called the manager on duty, "DJ", on the radio and explained the situation to him. It became apparent that "DJ" was not coming up to the register to speak with me like a professional manager would. I could not hear what DJ was saying, however, it was obvious to me that Erin was being left to handle the "disgruntled customer" himself and that I was being blown off by this manager. Even another employee who heard the radio transmission came up to the register to see if he could assist, but DJ was apparently too busy and did not have the customer service skills needed for the job like Erin did. In my opinion, Erin had better skills than DJ did and made me feel like a valued customer. Shame on you DJ, Michaels should reevaluate their decision to make you a manager, if you don't want to do the job, get out of the business! Thank you Erin for your kindness, professionalism and willingness to assist me. My score for the review is for Erin, not DJ.

A nightmare. Was there today at Michaels in Dublin on 12/12/2023, was 4th in line at the checkout with only one person, yes one person, at the checkout and waited 45 minutes. One cashier was there as the line was getting longer and longer until there were about 20 people in line. They never got anyone else other than the one cashier. Most of the people in line were using gift cards and or buying gift cards and the self checkout machines do not handle those. People just began dropping their merchandise on a nearby shelf and walking out the door. When the cashier was with one customer for 20 minutes, yes 20 minutes, in some sort of dispute over pricing of some sort of white painted decorated Christmas soda crate, I finally gave up and did the same thing. From now on, I will go to Hobby Lobby, no matter how far I have to drive.

Pretty unorganized and the signage and directional information doesn’t really help. We probably spent 40% more time in the store because we couldn’t find anything.

We go to Michael's all the time, we like the selection and the prices. However, this review is specifically for Amanda. We went there today, the Sunday after thanksgiving, for frames. We had gone to the Fan Expo in SF and were looking for a variety of frames for all the photos and autographs we got. They were at the tail end of their buy one get two free sale. The selection was less than usual due to the sale all weekend. We spent a long time planning out what pics would go together in what frames, and trying to find enough of each frame for what we needed. Amanda was so helpful. She spent a long time searching multiple places looking for a frame we wanted one more of, that the system said they had but we couldn't find. We were ultimately not successful but we were the ones who had to tell her to stop looking, she was on a mission! Then she took the time to help us make sure our discounts, and letting us pay at the custom frame desk so we didn't have to bring everything up front. At the end she heard us mention that it would have been nice to have a cart to help carry out all the frames, there weren't any at the front when we came in. She went to go look for one for us! We are generally underwhelmed with the service at retail stores these days, but Amanda was truly outstanding today! We told the manager on the way out, I hope she gets recognized!

I ordered a custom frame when the puzzle going in it wasn't ready. I went to drop off the finished art when the frame arrived. Brenda provided great customer service and put down what she was working on and quickly - mounted the puzzle on foam board, sealed the back, and got the wire hanger on. This saved me a trip back to the store that I expected to make but was very grateful to avoid. Thanks, Brenda!

Went to joanns because I made an emergency pick-up order of cake boards and boxes for last minute orders?they took hours to tell me they didn't have any of the items online, and it said they did. Canceled and went to Michael's they had everything I needed and more! I will be going to Michael's first always!
