I stopped by for takeout lunch twice. I tried the kimbap, injeolmi, and plum slush and everything was amazing!

Sodam good!!! Honestly did enjoy picking up some food from here. Tried most of the basics- stir fried fish cakes, couple kimbaps, chicken wings, tteokbokki, kimchi... their gochujang based sauces have a nice kick to them and I was loving the flavor. One thing that would be nice is if their items had a bit more included i.e., fish cakes is just that- stir fried with green/ onion would be great too! The shop is very cozy with a tiny dining area as well as takeout. And overall the place functions as a small restaurant/ mini-market for Korean goodies. Loved the friendly and prompt service and design of this place.

Great place to get Korean comfort food takeout. Everything is freshly prepackaged grab and go food by the cash register. There is a tiny Korean snack aisle and you can order Korean food to eat there.

What to get: Gimbap I've tried every flavor and they are all good. My favorite is fishcake. Gobo is similar but just less roll.Dumplings. Be sure to ask for either the meat/veggie/kimchi dumplingsThis place is one of those locally owned small businesses by authentic people. I come in here and I hear Korean hellos and thank you. It's great for takeaway but there is a small area for dine in for the desserts and prepared food like Tteoboki and soup. This place gives a great feel for Korean street food. I go here every week for lunch. It's affordable. It's fast. And most importantly it's delicious. This is the standard for me in regards to Gimbap.Parking: Lots of spaces. Some 20 min spots. More in the back but it's usually fullKid-friendliness: The cashier's are basically all moms

Have yet to eat in, but all the premade items are delicious. I go to shop the market and bring home enough fresh kimchi for a few nights of dinner.

I've been coming to Sodam for years! Love their kimbap and we especially love the tteokbokki!! The rice cakes are perfectly chewy and the sauce is on fire which pairs well with the kimbap. Their sikhye is so refreshing and not too sweet. They've also got a good selection of banchan.

One of my fave go-to Korean foods/snacks whenever I want something to-go/in the area. It's a small, affordable mini Korean mart that also has hot foods, snacks, side dishes, and drinks. It's a pretty cozy place with a few tables in the corner for you to eat in. My go-tos are usually the kimbap, cheese tteokbokki, chicken wings, and their side dishes for whenever I want to pack it for any future lunches. The portions are affordable and shareable. I got their cheese tteokbokki and their chicken wings that lasted me two meals. Staff here are really sweet as well!

Small little shop in the corner of a small plaza right across from casa orozco. My go-to's are the fishcake soup and the tebokki (spicy rice cakes). They also have a refrigerator section with different banchans (side dishes), meats and frozen items. They are a bit pricey but I would like to try it out next time I am there. There's also some fresh hot food in the front like japche that is in a warmer as well as dessert-like redbean/soybean mochi. The food came out fast and was worth the wait. Their prices are also decent and reasonable. There are also some tables inside to sit and eat. Support local shops and check this place out. One of the best in the east bay.
