Horrible customer service. We called in advance to have them fill our tank before it was empty. They're response was they could have someone out a week from when we requested. No problem except the first time we did this they showed two weeks later when the tank was empty and said we had to pay an extra fee because it was then empty. Tried something similar and they showed the next morning at 7am when we're told a week from requested date at 2pm. Then charged us an emergency fee. This company is atrocious and takes advantage of monopolizing the area.

Massively overpriced vs your competitors. your customer service department is difficult to use as it’s overseas and some of the agents command of the English language is poor therefore difficult to communicate. Also, Bouncing from one department to another is a big time waste. Please sort it out or I’m another lost customer.

Absolutely terrible service. My order was placed on 2/17/23 I was told My delivery was slated within a timeframe of 2/17-2/24. I ensured my property has proper access and there was a clear pathway to the tank. I surpassed the delivery timeframe and was told it was due to my gate being locked (which it was not) I ensured my property gate was open from 6am-7pm daily. I called daily after 2/24 and was told I was on emergency status and my delivery would occur \"tomorrow\" this happened until 3/7. At one point I was told I could be put on urgent status for an extra fee of $300 on top of my delivery and refill fee I was already paying. I was at a 5% status for over 2 weeks with no result, leaving my home without heat, hot water, etc. It took 43 calls between myself, my property management and finally the owner of my property to get any sort of resolution. I will shout from the rooftops how terrible Amerigas is to anyone who will listen.

WORST propane company! It has taken 3 months to resolve a billing issue and still to this day no help to resolve this problem. All calls are transferred to the Philippines where I can barely understand and constantly having calls dropped while 20 to 30 min into the call!! Wor

Garrett, delivery driver, was outstanding. Courteous and efficient. The “call center” was chaotic and people rude. We need the local office and personnel who know how to solve problems.

We’ve been customers for 15 years. Have never asked to have tanks filled—they determine when to fill. Flat monthly charge adjusted quarterly. Nice people, too!

I have 2 tanks on our property . When they come out to fill the tanks every time they only fill 1 So I have to call and set up another delivery. I have requested many times to make sure both tanks are filled. This has been going on for over 10 years. How hard could it be to put on the paper work to fill both tanks.?

Hired this company because neighbor and I shared the tank. It has been 3 years and always had gas in the tank. The issue was my neighbor has 5 family members and me, well it is only me and we were getting the same charge ($157 MORE/LESS) I was only using the gas for showers. All else in my house is electric. My neighbors use it for almost everything in their house. So I canceled on March 19, 2022 and guess what? They send me a bill every month like I did not cancel it. Wow, so I call them and ask them to stop charging me. They don't! I ask them "what does my meter read?" They don't know. Where is my $200 deposit? I asked, and they seem to forget to put it in the mail. "If you want to cancel we will charge you $150 or so." They are very good at threatening I guess. Fine, I told them, take it out of my deposit, "what deposit" they said. Arrgghh month after month is a headache. Horrible experience, be careful. They don't read your meter monthly and they don't care if they overcharge you. Good luck.

Scam Company, Go with someone local. They use offshore account reps that know nothing, they overcharge and are a shady scam company.

They locked me into a 3 year contract by just creating an online account and accepting their generic looking terms. Nobody on the phone told me there was a contract. They wanted me to pay to repaint their old tank that was left over when we bought the house. Prices were very high for gas. Waited home all day for delivery and it never came even though they said we were high priority since we were almost out. They wanted to charge me $150 for an inspection since my gas fell below 20 percent. Called up Ferrallgas and they had a new tank here next morning, no contract, cheaper prices, no fees.

I live in El Cajon and one of their propane 5 gallon exchange tank trucks made a turn onto my street and floored the throttle and held it till he had to let off because of a dip in the road, cleared the dip and floored it again. Achieving 45 on a 25 mph residential street is nothing to really to leave a horrible review on but when you add the engine sound and the fact that he's a GIANT Truck screaming down a residential street carrying highly explosive liquid tanks rattling super loud at 6am goes to show you what kind of company you're dealing with. I've read some of the other reviews others have left and believe me im gonna go the extra mile to avoid any and all purchases from this company. Wish they didn't have their tanks in all the 7/11 and gas stations Home Depots around town because no one ever deals with the company itself, they just purchase the tank from whatever store stocks them. Explaining why they can still be in business with such horrible reviews. To wrap up this review, i hope the driver reads this somehow someway and actually realizes the dangerous situation he is causing. Children walking, cats and dogs being scared and crossing, even moms or dads backing out of driveways getting slammed by a fully loaded truck because he cant stop in time. Or the Babies sleeping that he woke because he wanted to get down my street a little faster. Amerigas i hope you figure out who the driver is before they hurt someone.

I used them because I purchased my home and it had an existing Amerigas tank and I thought it would be easier to stay with them. However, there is no local number to call to set up deliveries. They give you a 5 day window of when the delivery will take place and no time frame for the time of day. I have a locked gate for my property so I always have to call the call center and have them make a note for the driver to call me before they show up. Unfortunately, they often show up without calling and I have to call the call center again to let them know about calling ahead of time. It would be so much easier if I could simply call a local number and talk to them directly. I will be looking to change providers real soon!
