Aweful system: I dialed this 510 area code number in hope to get a real human being to schedule a visit to open an account. Their answering machine system just turned one customer away. I had 1 saving account with citi-bank for a while and plan to withdraw all money from that account for another bank such as Mechanic Bank or Wells Fargo Bank.

Thank you Alex for your patience and attention with my transaction. I needed to change my name on my accounts due to my recent marriage. I had held off almost a year with mismatched DL and debit and credit cards. I had stopped at the branch in the San Pablo town center but the banker on duty was on his way out of the door and told me the best thing to do would be call and All branches are shortstaffed so and they don't have temporary cards. He told me I could try another branch which I did this branch. I walked into the El Cerrito branch and Alex overheard me asking to teller about seeing a banker, and he walked right up and introduced himself. He assisted me with the name change and was very funny and engaging, and even walked me through a deposit with the teller to verify the name change. He gave me his card and told me I could contact him directly to get a temporary card when I'm ready or to altogether replace my debit card. Overall , I was very happy with the visit. The space was modern with flat screens, mirroring the computer screen that Alex was using- it was nice.

I came in to get some documents notarized. I called to schedule an appointment, but I had to reschedule the appointment. Susan was really understanding and patient. We got everything done smoothly. It was overall a pleasant experience.

Citibank accepted my $274,000 transfer from my Edward Jones account and then when I wanted to transfer money to use, they closed my account for a month! I had NO access to MY money for 30 days. They said they suspected fraud...just an arbitrary decision without evidence! After I reported them to the BBB, they then released my funds after 30 days! Then they also closed my Costco Citibank Card account, without an explanation. Very unprofessional. I am sure they were using my funds to lend to others to make money. Worst bank ever! Megan Talbot

I don’t know , it was my first time here I deposited, but they wrote my checking Acc and saving Acc on a piece of paper, but all other time I visited Citi branchs nobody write like this branch I don’t know why . Confusing ☹️

Came in without an appointment on a Friday afternoon to open a debit card and apply for a credit and was greatly helped by Mrs.Susan with great customer service. Made everything very easy to understand since I am a new Citibank member, which was very appreciated. Great experience overall.

My wife has an account here so i sometimes accompany her. Went to this bank dressed in my Heavy Metal "battle vest" (you know - the denim vest with all the spikes studs, and rock band patches on it) sat in the waiting area and NO ONE asked if they could help me. Went back a few weeks latter in a 2 piece suit & tie (keep in mind I'm white, blond hair, blue eyes, 6'3', in good shape and can rock a suit). - EVERY BANKER came by to ask if I needed help with something. But in my jeans & denim vest, I was unworthy of their time.

I dread writing negative reviews but I feel I have to acknowledge the gross incompetence and ignominious debacle associated with the attempted opening of a new account checking account. First, the incorrect ATM card was sent out, then a ATM to an old address (from 5 years ago) and finally the correct ATM but no pin which prompted the new accounted to be locked for security reasons. In all it took 3 months to untangle the financial disaster created my Citi.

Had a bad experience here unfortunately. My wife and I have banked with Citi 10years+. We came in one weekend to open a separate checking account for my personal use were given the wrong account. The manager gave us a linked account and then mailed us a copy of our joint checking debit card- NOT the debit card for my new account. Long story short, i used my new card and instead of coming from my new account it came from our joint checking. Totally misleading and upsetting, I have now had to request a new card (which they tried to charge me for!) and it’s been a horrible inconvenience. Not a good bank, beware…
