UPDATE 12/2: The service department is in the process of addressing my complaint and I look forward to providing an updated review once the situation is resolved (something I am also looking forward to).________This is a review of the service department. I brought my 2011 Mazda2 here to get diagnostics on the check engine light. A code reader I used on my own said it was the knock sensor and it likely had gone bad and needed to be replaced. I aleded an oil change and my brakes replaced. From the beginning, I sensed a snobbishness about the age of my car and they also implied my car hadn't been maintained. This car has been dealer serviced every six months with the exception of a minor accident I was in ten years ago. It's been maintained. Maritza kept saying, "Well, we don't know what's been done to this car." You can look up the VIN and find out, or actually ask me since I have the service records. This was very off-putting.At any rate, the car was at service for over a week. I did have a nice loaner car. When the engine work and brakes were done, it was discovered my radiator had a leak, which I had suspected, and I opted to have that repaired. When I got the car back, it ran better than it had in years and I didn't feel as bad about the cost. Yes, I know the dealer is expensive. I wanted it done right and I am new to this area. The engine work was over $1,000, including new spark plugs and swapping out the mass airflow sensor because it was "aftermarket." No one never said that mass airflow sensor didn't work. Long story short, after driving the car an entire 25 miles the check engine light came back on again, the car idled very roughly, and accelerated poorly. I called multiple times to talk to Billy and he didn't bother to call me back. No one did. That says it all. They don't stand by the work. As a business owner, if someone does thousands of dollars in business with you and are back right where they started, wouldn't you call back within the hour and try to fix the problem? They ignore it. So, with no one willing to help me or take responsibility, I again used a code reader at AutoZone and it gave THE EXACT SAME CODE as it did before it was ever worked on: knock sensor. So it appears Mazda of Elk Grove ripped me off for over $1,000 of unnecessary engine maintenance which failed to fix the problem. I am going to consult a mechanic to put in a new sensor. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Selling me expensive maintenance isn't "diagnostics." That's what's known as a scam.

I ordered a wheel lock key and when it arrived at the store, Kale called me to let me know it was there. He kindly advised me that his daughter goes to school right around the corner from me and that he would be happy to drop it off at my house if I would like. I certainly did like!Great service Kale. I appreciate you taking the time to notice our close proximity and stopping by.

My husband and I purchased a car from this dealership and worked with Garrett O. He was great at communicating quickly and efficiently. When he brought the car from the other dealership, my husband and I noticed some scratches and pointed them out to Garrett. He apologized and quickly took it back to detailing to get them buffed out before we purchased the car. We live closer to Auburn area and drove all the way to Elk Grove to work with this dealership as we had terrible experiences at Roseville Mazda. It was a quick easy experience and we are so happy with our new car!!!

I purchased my first car from Mazda of Elk Grove and I couldn't be happier with the decision. I knew I wanted a Mazda and while there were a few dealers in Sacramento, Mazda of Elk Grove was the most prompt to respond to and had the best deal. Garrett and his team made the car-buying experience so easy and smooth, and kept me informed throughout the entire process from negotiating a price without even having to go to the dealership, to the final paperwork and financing parts. I ended up getting a great deal on my Mazda CX-30. When I went to pick it up, he also ran through all the features on my Mazda, and made me feel assured that I can reach out if there was anything I needed help with my car. Thank you so much again to Garrett and Mazda of Elk Grove!

We were looking for a new car, and have been looking for a Mazda PHEV that was elusive. This dealership not only answered our inquiry but actually reached out again after a few days with a new car they had gotten in the color we liked. We traveled to go here specifically and were happy to find them ready for business and friendly without being sales-y. I would recommend going here to browse or look for a specific car.

Recently got my new CX-30 here and absolutely recommend! I originally when to a smaller Mazda dealership and could not believe how expensive a lease would be. I know that inflation and shortages have affected how much cars cost in the past few years, but I'd only gotten my first Mazda about 2.5 years earlier and the price had doubled!! I was not feeling the first place I visited so I decided to go to Mazda Elk Grove and I am so happy I did! Jarell was a huge help and he got me in the car that I wanted. Everything was super clear and prices were transparent. Highly recommend!!

I would like to shout out Som! He was there with me from beginning to end with me leaving extremely satisfied with my new 2023 Mazda CX-30! He let me test drive three different vehicles to make sure I was 100% positive on which one was right for me. Exceptional customer service and extremely knowledgeable! He made sure that I didn’t leave the lot without knowing my new vehicle inside and out. Thank you for an awesome experience, I will be back for maintenance in the future!

Vu was very helpful and made the purchase of our new car less stressful. However I removed 1 star because even though we had a deposit down on a car weeks before it arrived, it still took 3 hours to complete the cash purchase. Mostly because the paperwork was not ready, and the finance manager kept trying to push service packages we did not want. Would have been a great experience otherwise.

Absolute best dealership experience I've ever had. Since I made an inquiry online, Antonio Casillas sent detailed pictures and detailed videos of every car I was interested in and continued to keep me updated on every car they had in stock went on multiple test drives and had a couple small issues with financing,on my side not theirs but the dealership staff , were always friendly, respectful and responsive. I was never pressured into any other services and was always told other available options. And when the time came to sign financing papers David Bayón made it a breeze. Every single document was throughly explained before it was signed. And that entire section took only 30 minutes. Now I have a beautiful platinum grey metallic brand spanking new Mazda three thanks to Antonio and David. Anyone who needs a great car should stop by Elk Grove Mazda and get the deal on a deal if a car.

Always a good experience. Chris H is a great service advisor! I also like the video they send you of your car while it is being worked on. Wait time isn't bad, and loaner cars are available if you need it.

Summary - for sales, ask for Jon Murphy. This guy is a great salesman. He's knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and doesn't have any weird vibes. You know what I mean. He also said he's paid on units sold, not the amount of the sale, so he's on the buyer's side when doing battle with management in the back room over pricing.Longer story, my wife and I were playing around with the idea of picking up another MX-30 EV for a while. It's not a great EV, but it's a nice place to be, and they're pretty rare. We thought it'd be a fun commuter. We're experienced EV people, so we know what we'd be walking into. My wife had one for a single week before a teenager rear-ended her on the freeway, totaling the car (she was fine). We walked in as prepared as we could be: clipboard of other available models for lower prices. If that didn't work to lower the price, I had a list of accessories I'd want bundled. It's still conventional car sales; the customer and the business haggle and have their interests. Jon was the first to spot us as we entered, so we worked with him. There were some significant network troubles, but Jon was gracious through them as we worked at various desks trying to find a computer that was operable. We got my info entered as a client, and we went on the test drive. Jon didn't insist on where we went, and let me do my own loop while providing suggestions for low and high speed driving. It's easy to get both at this location.Drive was good, we were ready to find a price. We know the dealership recently reduced the asking price from $30,000 to $28,000. I started by offering $25,000, and he unflinchingly took it to the back. He returned with a counteroffer of $26,500, splitting the difference. I know EVs are sold at a loss for every non-Tesla company right now, so they're taking a loss even at asking price. So this 2023 Certified Pre-Owned with only 88mi had an MSRP over $37,000, was priced at $28,000, but they'll take $26,500. That's about 30% off MSRP for a car with under 100 miles on it, with the extended CPO warranty.Sold!Jon was courteous enough to acknowledge I hate the shiny, slippery silicone whatever coating they put on everything, so he cleaned that up while we were waiting for finance. This shouldn't be his responsibility, but we appreciate it. I think we waited about 45 minutes before talking to finance. The rep (sorry, forgot his name) was very clear on verifying all the pricing discussed so far, presented every option for additions, and didn't argue when all the extras were declined. We were able to put $5,000 of the down payment on a credit card, so that's an easy $100 cash back!I thought we could do the rest of the down with an ACH transfer, but they could not. After everything was done, I needed to run home and cut a check for the rest (checks in 2023, bleh), but Jon offered to retrieve it from our house so we didn't need to make an extra trip. We were coming back that way anyway, but it was a nice offer. We've had a bunch of EVs since 2013, and almost always the dealership rep was a total ignorant POS to work with. It was refreshing to have a real person and not a shark as the sales rep. We also learned Costco members get 25% off parts, so that's a discount over not knowing that; also a nice touch. Thanks Jon and the others at Mazda of Elk Grove for a painless sales experience.

I recently leased a Mazda CX90 PHEV preferred from Mazda Elk Grove, and I have to say, it was a great experience. John Murphy was our salesperson, and he was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. John took the time to understand my family's needs and provided us with the best options at a reasonable price. He even sent a personalized video to give us a thorough walkthrough of the car, which I haven't seen from other dealerships.Finding this particular car was not easy, but John put in a ton of effort to locate the model/trim/color I wanted. He kept us thoroughly informed about the car's arrival status and even went out of his way to deliver it to our house, which is a 1.5-hour drive. The Finance team was helpful too, explaining the lease agreement in detail and patiently answering all my questions related to buying out/not buying out the car during or after the lease. The customer service at Mazda Elk Grove is outstanding, and they truly prioritize customer needs and satisfaction first. I highly recommend them (and especially John) for all your car needs.

Elk Grove Mazda, I like to give credit where credit is due. I went with my son to purchase a CX-50 and we met Brian Gayten the salesman that helped us. He showed us what we needed to see, and my son went home with what we both think is a perfect car for him. He had a smile all the way home. Want Mazda management to know that you have a very professional employee. Had a good experience because of Brian. Thanks Brian, if I weren’t for you we probably wouldn’t have found the perfect car
