“We often visit Shop Rite and this amazing Middle Eastern supermarket in Oakland primarily focuses on Yemeni foods, spices, and confectionery, and I must say, we're always blown away by the experience. As soon as I walk in, we're greeted by the vibrant colors of the spices and food items. The store is always stocked with an impressive selection of authentic Yemeni products, including various types of rice, grains, dates, figs, and olives. The middle of the store is equally impressive, with a wide range of aromatic spices, including cloves, hilbah, and za'atar.What really catches my attention though, is the confectionery section. Shop Rite has a vast array of exotic sweets, including Baklava, Mamoul, and Basbousa, all made with traditional ingredients like honey, pistachios, and almonds. The staff at the store were incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, my visits Shop Rite is always an incredible experience. It's a true sensory adventure, with vibrant colors, enticing aromas, and delicious flavors. They also have a meat section in the back, as well as a to-go restaurant near the produce section that I will try in the future. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking to explore the flavors and tastes of Yemen.”

“I see so many bad reviews on here! Wow! I always have a pleasant shopping experience here but am glad they have good security. Once I got hamburger meat that, and I didn't notice, but looked like it was going bad. It was a very busy day there and cashier line was very long. My cashier noticed the meat ringing it up and stopped everything she was doing and grabbed it and ran and got me a fresh one without saying a word. I thought it was pretty great. I've had nothing but great customer service at this place. Please remember it's kind of a hard area. These people work very hard and deal with a lot. Be kind to these hardworking people! Excellent customer service here and good prices and has most anything you need. Five stars!”
