“The level of 'above & beyond' in which Robert went to for me, was Amazing and deserves recognition.
I had just been given a broken, non-working- electric mobility scooter. As a pedestrian, a car hit me head-on Feb 17th 2026, leaving me in critical condition, Hospitalized by Ambulance, immediately rolled into the Operating Room, numerous life saving surgeries later, has made me [greatful to be alive] and sadly now a 'disabled cripple in a wheelchair' living a life of relentless pain & struggle.
With battery on my lap, in my manual wheelchair, I rolled myself to American Battery. They tested my battery and gave me surprising news, claiming my battery was both “Good and Fully Charged.”
In that first visit, I ended up seeing an inexpensive digital multimeter ($8 Harbor Freight Meter) in their shop and expressed my interest in borrowing or purchasing it. Instead, Robert took the time to follow me in my wheelchair with Robert walking [besides me] to the [Post-Hospitalization Recuperative Care facility].that I’m in (Interfaith’s Turk Center) to diagnose my Mobility Scooter..
It should be noted that I was forthcoming, in clearly explaining to Robert that I had NO MONEY, broke at present time without ability to afford or pay for anything. Not the ideal customer, yet despite knowing this, Robert still took the time to leave his work and walk to my [medical room @ Turk].
Using his multi-meter, he kindly checked what I requested and thus provided more information [such as their being no power, despite batteries good & charged, but worse yet, there was an obvious short causing a substantial load & voltage drop on the batteries].
Roberts testing and identifying the load & voltage drop [symptom] helped me identify one of the problems [bad 50A Circuit Breaker] causing the No Power issue and also causing the Short [to ground] which was placing a voltage decreasing load on the batteries.
It was during my 2nd visit later that day, that to my surprise, Robert ‘gave me’ free of charge their little multi-meter. That blessing and tool, enabled me to diagnose and repair my Mobility Scooter over the next 3 days. A little $8 Harbor Freight Multi Meter made the world to me and helped me succeed in repairing it and now being able to move around easier and with less pain.
They didn’t lie to me [like so many do] in order to try and sell me a new battery, but honestly told me my battery was ‘good and fully charged’. And then they went above and beyond, a couple times [personally coming to my place & giving me a free tool, the multi meter].
Leaving a positive review and sharing that they were Honest with me and went out of their way to help [as an unpaid customer that day] is the least I can do to show my appreciation and gratitude for Robert’s help.
Having witnessed interactions with another customer, I’ll concede they may not be the worlds smoothest ‘sales person’. In all fairness, they are not professional sales people, they’re ‘technicians’. My experience with them has been they they know what there doing [competent] and they’re Honest.
Sure, we can always find someplace a few pennies cheaper [i.e. ordering from the Internet], but my experience in life has been as the price goes down, so does the product quality and reliability; cheaper products are [often] more inferior products. I have learned this fact & truth the hard way, many times throughout my life.
The bottom lines is that their recent interactions with me were more than merely good, they exceeded good and went into way above and beyond, caring and genuinely helping me, despite me being unable to be a ‘paying’ customer.

“I had a great experience with the English fellow with the oddly shaped head. Recently switched my service to AT&T due to poor service nearby my workplace otherwise would've stayed with T-Mobile. T-Mobile corporate had been charging for the last 3 months for a tablet and watch line that I told them to cancel all the way back in March (not the fault of this store, just customer care not doing their jobs). He helped me to call customer care end from the store to finally get the two lines canceled that should've been canceled way back in March and all of the charges were waived and finally everything was settled as I didn't want to go into collections. If I ever decide to switch back to T-Mobile I'd go back to this store from the great customer service in helping me resolve my issue even if they didn't get commission on this particular transaction. Ask for the British guy. He was a huge help.”

My old Metro PCS up the road used to be my goto but the lady is no longer there and I used to pass by 3 Metro's just to go there because of the service. Now I only have to pass by 2...lol. Oh and it's 20 min after close and they are still helping people here...that says alot. Great friendly crew.”

We sat down and after answering several questions she checked my phone and replaced the Sim card. Rebooted and tested the phone and all is well again. “This Target store seems smaller than most I've been to. It's beautiful on the outside though and it's connected to the Mershops North County Mall. I came in to get some office supplies including post-its and copy paper. The selection is pretty limited but I did get a pack of white paper (750 sheets) for just $8.29 which I think is a pretty good deal. The post-its were $12.99 for a 12 pack. I wish they had a bigger selection.”

“Everything was fine at the store. My overall experience is from eating the GO! Yum brand of Ice cream I just bought.I only ate half the container and then put back in the freezer. Not a minute after eating it I went to the bathroom and threw up everything. I felt fine after vomiting for a few minutes. I feel like I had food poisoning from the ice cream. Not happy. Another experience.”

The store is always clean and organized. Products are where they say they should be and the staff there rocks. “It's kind of unorganized and I went in for some slurpee because it summer and well needed. The only slurpees that worked were the Coca Cola and pineapple. I really wanted blueberry but it didn't seem to be working. They also didn't have the Gatorade bottles with the kids tops to open and close more conveniently. I never stop at 7 Elevens but it was on my way home. If you nee something quick it works.”

“I've been living in the neighborhood for about two years now. My little dog enjoys the walk to 7/11 in the mornings. I must say that I have come to know the employees by name. I have been treated with respect every visit, in the mornings with John. He's Hella cool. The pizza if you haven't given it a try, you'd be pleasantly surprised. Pizza for 7/11 give it a try. The only drawback is the neighborhood and the local homeless. 7/11 just acts like a magnet, bugs are attracted to the light. Sad it's become just part of living in the city.”
