“First off, I told them it was fishing season and I needed my truck. They let me look at the Ocean Reports and got me in on days when I wouldn't be able to fish. They told me it would take a couple days. They had my truck done in less than a day. Not only did they fix where it had been hit, they cleaned it. It hasn't looked this good in years- inside and out... I will always go back if I need a repair. And- I don't know anyone who works there. I hear some guy name Fred owns it- so this review is from a happy customer. (I took them some fresh Halibut I had just cooked)

“I cannot speak highly enough of Ken Gordon, Operations Manager, and his crew in the service department at McCrea Subaru. While on a family road trip to the Redwoods from Las Vegas, Nevada, almost every light on our dashboard lit up. A local mechanic couldn't diagnose the issue properly and recommended McCrea Motors. We had already extended our trip due to a failed wheel bearing further up the coast, so this latest issue was unwelcome. Knowing how busy dealership service departments can get, I anticipated needing to find accommodations in Eureka for an unplanned night or two.
Mr. Gordon greeted my family warmly, and it was clear he genuinely didn't want us stranded. His team diagnosed the problem (issues with cam positioning solenoids) within minutes and even pulled up a map to suggest nearby lunch spots, ice cream parlors, and a waterfront walk while we waited. A couple of hours later, Mr. Gordon called with the solution, we settled the bill, and we were back on our journey home.
Aware that we'd been driving all night, Mr. Gordon phoned the next morning to ensure we had arrived home safely. His service department excelled in honesty, professionalism, and efficiency. Their friendliness, empathy, and genuine care surpassed our expectations.

Compared to other pricing in the area there's was way lower and the quality above my expectations. My car looks brand new again. He was extremely helpful and he gave me a first class education on having a car painted for the first time in my life. “My old, first-car Honda was having a really bad time and it was time for an upgrade. That car had a large number of issues but still they took it in for trade and got a margin of my price knocked down! Not only that but they were kind enough to buy the parts for me to fix up the very minor issues the car did have! Tom over there is a truly empathetic and kind person and I'm very glad he helped me through the process.
I opted to do the repairs myself and she's running like a dream, significantly better than my old Honda making blender noises on the highway.
I see a lot of older reviews speaking in disappointment, and I know that not everyone's experience will always be the same. However, I would like to express my gratitude for how my experience went.
I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a good car with a good price. Though, I'd say with them as I would with any other dealer, take the car on a test drive and have a PERSONAL (not a shop) mechanic inspect the vehicle. They'd likely want you to do that first as well, a lot of shops will upcharge you around here. They told me to bring it back if I had any issues so they could try themselves before taking it to another shop. I'd say that'd be your best bet, my experience proves to me that they cared about my time with a new car and not just a dollar sign.
Inspect it first, then talk about how you can work a deal out that'll benefit the both of you. They're good people, give them kindness.”
