About Redwood Coast Energy Authority
The Redwood Coast Energy Authority is a local government Joint Powers Agency whose members include the County of Humboldt; the Cities of Arcata, Blue Lake, Eureka, Ferndale, Fortuna, Rio Dell, and Trinidad; and the Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District. The purpose of RCEA is to develop and implement sustainable energy initiatives that reduce energy demand, increase energy efficiency, and advance the use of clean, efficient and renewable resources available in the region for the benefit of the Member agencies and their constituents. Redwood Coast Energy Authority (RCEA) administers Humboldt County’s Community Choice Energy program. Simply put, we’re buying greener, more locally produced electricity and feeding it into the grid.

My bill is cheaper, and they have "green" options too.

Each month since the program began, my bill has been lower by participating in the RCEA CCA program than if I had stayed bundled with PG&E. I hope you keep up the good work, procuring "green energy" and providing it at much lower rates than PG&E.
