RCEA is being paid for doing nothing. ALL outages and repair emergencies are handled by PG&E. Where do you even generate power? Are you using the old PG&E plant Rex Bohn got reactivated, which is all that kept our power on last fire season? What, other than add to the size of our bills do you actually do?

Middle man outfit. Seems to cost more than PG&E.

We just had our first net-metering "true-up" with RCEA, much better pay back rate than PG&E for the extra electricity our solar panels made. Thanks!

RCEA summer rates are exorbitantly high for the electric vehicle plan. So far, RCEA cannot explain the difference. Further, they do not list summer months vs winter months.

Great service. You can call them to upgrade your electricity to 100% renewable, and your rate will go up a tiny amount. ($0.01 a kWh) It amounted to 2 to 3 dollars a month more for me compared to my previous service. For reference our bill is (with the new plan) usually $30 a month. If you don't like it, opt out. Call them, rather than complain to the internet.

My bill is cheaper, and they have "green" options too.

Each month since the program began, my bill has been lower by participating in the RCEA CCA program than if I had stayed bundled with PG&E. I hope you keep up the good work, procuring "green energy" and providing it at much lower rates than PG&E.

Since inception, the CCA program provided by RCEA has been saving a significant amount of money over PG&E's generation/procurement. The result has been savings on each and every bill since the program began. It does mean that I get paid slightly less for my solar generation, even with the solar generation premium, but that is an acceptable trade-off for me since it isn't always sunny. Will their procurement methods be cheaper than PG&E forever? I don't know, but they have been doing a great job so far.

No dashiell yerton, RCEA is not "stealing" from the citizens of Humboldt. THEY'RE providing electrical generation and PG&E is providing transmission. If you bothered to read your bill, which you obviously didn't, you'd see that PG&E gives you an electrical generation CREDIT, and then RCEA charges you a generation fee. And guess what? RCEA is LESS than PG&E. That's right, you're saving money. Next time, try reading before sniveling about something of which you are utterly ignorant.

Redwood coast energy authority is stealing from the citizens of Humboldt county . There providing nothing and getting paid for it it's outrageous!

Horrible customer service that uses scare tactics instead of facts and numbers to convince people that there worth the insane amount of money there charging. It's too bad since this could of been something good but fell really short.

Biomass relies on replacement trees being grown in massive numbers, and very quickly, to absorb today's smokestack emissions. The assumed timescale for re-growth is wildly optimistic. A mature tree of 80 to 100 years takes only a few minutes to release its full load of carbon into the atmosphere when burnt, but its replacement - if grown - takes a full century to re-sequester that carbon. Nonetheless for that full century while the CO2 is still aloft in the atmosphere, accoun
