“I love this place. Major friendly and skip straight to knowledgeable. They have so many parts. And if you're not well versed, they are. Sometimes no choice but to go to Home Depot and Lowes. However this place is my first choice.Home depot won't tell you where to go if they don't have something you direly need. These guys know their inventory, and will direct you if they don't have it. That's 100% quality service in my humble opinion.I've been their customer for years. Soon I am moving away and aside from occasional visits I won't have this place to look forward to when I need parts for that "particular nightmare" we sometimes encounter. BummerShout out to Carlos and Nate! Good service, honest, a wide range of "just what you couldn't find" and a good price point. Nary can sing the praise high enough.”

“NBS carries the highest quality of doors, locks, and hardware. The professional staff have decades of experience and are extremely helpful, knowledgable, and easy to work with. We have purchased baseboards, crown molding, bypassing closet mirror doors and a new front door to upgrade our home. Most of the work we were able to complete on our own. Further, upon comparing prices to large retail stores, we found NBS to be less expensive. NBS also sells and installs security doors which they also did for us. We are very pleased and satisfied with products and service NBS has provided.”

“I deal with Visalia, and this review is for that location. They installed a new submersible pump for our domestic system in 2008, in a well under a large oak tree that was dug in the 1920's. Had to use a crane. I was so pleased with the service and employees, I called the owner that day. They just made a service call on my system, and they get 5 stars. Prompt, clean, and courteous, they did they repair in 1/2 hour.”

“Visalia Lumber Co. Is a place to visit when looking for that unusual piece of molding to finish your project. I came in here with a small sample, and shortly after, walked out with a piece of molding which matched. Besides lumber and the usual items that you may find in a Big Box Store, here you will find some of the better quality tools that you will not find elsewhere. Give them a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised...and they do have great customer service.”
“I appreciate Exeter Mercantile. I can generally find what I need on the tools and parts side of the store and all the employees are extremely helpful. They are also open 7 days a week which is great when I don't want to go to Visalia on a Sunday. Where I think they fall short is on the home/gift side. It needs a revamp desperately. The generation supporting the gift side is not interested in glass and ceramic ware that looks like it belongs in the antique store across the street. Those wooden angels were cute 30 years ago. The "old money" of Exeter no longer supports this store so they need younger, fresher lines. Also should bring back better quality lines like kitchen aid. I love their Exeter signs in the front and I think they should expand that concept to having a whole section of locally made goods. People like to support local! Personally I think they should take this summer to plan a fall "reopening" of their gift store. Tear up that horrendous carpet, paint and refresh the walls and showcase new lines in fall in time for Christmas shopping. Also a little side note their garden amendments and fertilizer section is awful. Most other Ace's I've been to at least carry a few organic products but not here. Please revamp Exeter Mercantile because your town really wants to support you!”
