“Dr. Pipkin went above and beyond to thoroughly examine our new-to-us rescue dog outside of the clinic (for the safety of other canine patients, after we reported our girl had coughed several times over the past couple of days). Dr. Pipkin was warm, funny, and explained the what's and why's of everything. I enjoyed observing her positive interaction with our dog which included using stealthy petting to perform part of her exam. I did not get the Vet Tech's name that joined later, but she was fantastic, too. Thank you, both!”

“When your Vet and her team treat your dog like a family member, and consistently go above and beyond to proactively care for them- it makes you unimaginably grateful. Dr. Press saved my Ruby’s life with her extraordinary care and brilliance. We are so lucky to have her! The staff is also kind, respectful and professional.”

“I used to take my cat here for years and only after moving away did I realize how perfect this vet was. The prices were very reasonable, and they go over everything with you. On top of that the quality of care is amazing. Truly the best combination. I have yet to find care that matches what I found here.”

“East San Rafael Vet truly cares about your pets, we have been struggling with other vets who only seem to care about how much money they can get from you and putting out minimal effort to listen or care. East San Rafael team is amazing, listens, empathizes and goes above and beyond!”

“Excellent experience here with Dr Whitlock. My only regret is not coming sooner. She diagnosed my Labrador (osteochondritis of the hock) within minutes whereas other vets over multiple years had x-rayed the wrong areas and had suspected other diagnoses. While my dog’s condition is chronic, it is well managed under Dr Whitlock’s suggestions. She is calm, compassionate and patient, making you feel not rushed and comfortable to ask questions. While this care is expensive, I did find the comparable rates competitive for the area and never felt pressured to pay for anything. I am a o grateful to have such a wonderful vet practice in the area. Thank you!”

“Dr Jan and the rest of the staff this past Saturday (Feb 14th) were so wonderful and compassionate when I brought my dog, Clara in for an eye issue. I recommend this vet practice wholeheartedly.”

“I love this practice. My dog usually sees Dr. Sachs, but on a Monday she's not there. I called early morning as my dog was having issues in need of urgent care. Heather, the owner and practice manager got us seen that day. She even let me know if any cancellations occurred that morning, she'd get us seen sooner. My dog has a lot of anxiety at the practice and knowing his veterinarian, Dr. Robert Sahaghian, was fear free certified really eased MY anxiety. This was our first time meeting him and he was so wonderful and gentle with Boomer. I'm comforted knowing he has two doctors now. Dr. Sahaghian followed up with me quickly regarding his labs, and was thorough and patient with my questions. I honestly, couldn't recommend another family practice more. Thank you always, RVVH! ??❤️?”

“I brought my 3 year old dog here for behavioral consult due to anxiety and uncooperativeness with her other vet. The space was warm and inviting. Dr Evans and the other staff were great with her and did a wonderful job working with her very cautious and hyper alert personality. The doctor took plenty of time getting to know us and provided some helpful advice. By the end of our appointment, my dog even let the doctor pet her, which is unusual for her the first time she meets someone. I’m optimistic that my girl will get comfortable enough for a physical exam. Would highly recommend, especially if you have an anxious dog.”

“I cannot say enough about Dr Schoengart. She treats my dog with the utmost kindness and compassion. He is anxious and she does so much to be sure he is comfortable. She talks to him and plays a bit just to relax him. He calm demeanor makes every visit just great. She also diagnosed my dog with an autoimmune disorder that was missed by others. What a great staff!”

“I live 35 minutes away up in Petaluma area and for a variety of reasons went to San Rafael Animal Hospital for the first time with my dog Rose. I was pleased with every part of our visit. Dr. Davis even started chipping some tartar off my dog's teeth as he was examining her just because. They even managed to X-ray Rose's leg without anesthesia (and without me there) I believe because she felt secure in their care. Normally she would get anxious if she doesn't see me. Fair prices, too. The neighborhood is sort of industrial and the office is no frills, but the care is exceptional. I'll be coming back all the way down here from now on.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Dr. May and everyone at Aggie Animal Dental Center. My greyhound, Dax, managed to break three canines in five months, and their team performed vital pulp therapy on four of his teeth. Their skill and professionalism are truly impressive, and I fully trust their expertise.

One thing I really appreciate is how thorough they are. At the end of each visit, Dr. May personally goes over everything in detail, including Dax’s CT scan, and they even send me photos from his procedure. It’s such a thoughtful touch and really shows how much they care.

Having a dedicated anesthesiologist on site gives me tremendous peace of mind, especially with a dog like Dax who has had multiple procedures. I’ll absolutely be returning for his routine cleanings, and I’ll be recommending Aggie Animal Dental Center to all my friends and family.

The only minor downside is that they book up about a month in advance, but honestly, that just speaks to how good they are. Definitely worth the wait!”

“Kauai had a tooth extracted and cleaning and I was very nervous about it! It was an Easy drop off, doctor came out and explained what would be happening, the procedure was quick and I received a kind phone call explaining how she did. Pick up was also a breeze and someone gave me thorough instructions verbally and written out, on how to take care of her. Kauais extracted area looks great and healthy so far and her teeth look fresh as well. Overall great experience, everything went very smoothly, and my nerves were calmed!

Every time I take her in the vet is very kind and direct, they have helped manage her anxiety for vet visits and other triggers which has been very helpful. Overall I’m always pleased when I leave there.”

“I am so grateful to Dr Frye and his Family and Staff for taking incredible care of my Great Dane. They are kind attentive and truly thoughtful. It has taken me four years to find another wise, intelligent and skillful surgeon/veterinarian who understands Great Danes. West End Animal Center is just perfect in all ways and in all categories. I feel so lucky to have found them. Thank you.”

“The staff knows systematically know right off the bat that our handsome dog is more than just a pet. Dr. Manchester did an amazing job at removing a skin tumor from his face and now we can’t find the evidence that it was ever there.”

“Really friendly, understanding. Normally, they charge $25 for pet bail clipping, but the vet was so kind she helped me with both my cats and did them both for free. Would recommend to anyone just based on their friendly service alone”

“Terra Linda Vets have looked after our Labrador since we moved to San Rafael in 2013. Dr Adams has a lovely manner with our now nearly 14 yr old dog, giving us lots of sensible and gentle advice as we navigate her senior years. She’s doing great! Appointments are punctual and easy to schedule. Office staff and Vet technicians are excellent too.”

“While walking my chihuahua mix and came upon a 20 year old chihuahua mix. I immediately asked who this pups vet was and was told about Dr Kelle Kearney! Well, over 5 years later Twiggy is almost 17 years old and doing so well under Dr. Kearney's care. We are so grateful for how much she cares and her bed side manner is the best we have ever seen. I always tell people we are not helicopter parents, WE ARE DRONE PARENTS and Kelle makes us feel safe and takes time to explain everything whether the issue is big or ridiculously small. But most importantly, Twiggy feels completely safe with her.”

“So many things to recommend this veterinary clinic. They took my concerns seriously and asked what must have been the right questions because one serious issue was diagnosed quickly, while blood and urine tests were needed to diagnose chronic issues. It is very clean, very private, and has excellent staff. And there is parking at the NOPA clinic, always a plus in SF.”

“Awesome staff and vet! They found out the reason of my cat's diet and changed the diet and Ivy has been great since!

She also got her crown amputated and was caught on early to prevent further damage, they called the next day to check up on Ivy and very awesome to work with them.

Highly recommended!”

“Best vet in California, possibly the world, but I'm not well traveled to make the second part of that claim ultimately.
The caring and involved veterinarian you want to visit. Kelly and staff test your pets like their own children.”
