I e been to this location several times to renew a registration. The kiosk is a great way to skip the lines, only if it works properly. Visited the location for the kiosk several times and the kiosk is always having problems. Stood in line for 15 and watched three other people have issues. Then it stops using card scanner ability when I try. Employee says well it's only excepting cash. So bring cash and pray it works correctly for you. My friend said he watched all the employees and their were zombie like. Without any urgency or energy. Lol. Not sure what's up with this location but be smart and come with everything you need and don't.

Welcome to Fairfield DMV be prepared to breath in second hand weed/pot . Then also be prepared be treated like crap at any given window by women with very rude disposition. Remember the saying It's a privilege to drive not a right . My message to these people is it's a privilege to have a job with the state DMV not a right. So pull your heads out of your behinds and treat people with respect as you are not any better than the rest of us . It takes skill and patience to work with the public . Some people are just not as smart as you . Deal with it or find another job and quit making a visit to the DMV feel like getting a tooth pulled

Literally just opened up and the lady at window nine wearing her knock off dolce glasses and purple union sweater was giving attitude. I am the first person at this window. Are you serious? You're a civil worker act more professional stop smacking you're damn gum. Had to return same day. Noticed she was a lot nice to her own POC

Had a great experience today for a name and address change. As long as you complete your application online and have all your documents in order, you will be in and out in about 20 minutes. After checking in, I waited about 5 minutes before getting called to a window. Plus, since this location is so small, you have better chances of an earlier appointment than in another location (I came in from East Bay).

Quick, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly. I didn’t have an appointment and I was in and out within 20 minutes.

Works are very slow, you have to wait hours to get your work done. They have 16 cabinets but only 2 or 3 of them open. They don’t care that you waited there.

The staff here is only trained to do basic stuff. Anything unusual or complex they tell you to mail some forms to Sacramento. Sacramento doesn't process that or at least I have been waiting for years for a response. The numbers you are supposed to call are always busy, no options to leave a message. I don't understand how the dmv can get away with this.

I went to register my vehicle brought from Hawaii yesterday the representative at Fairfield DMV at Window 6 on 31 July told me I needed some additional customs forms since Hawaii is “out of the country” I inquired several times how Hawaii was out of the country and was turned away. I was forced to call the shipping company that brought my vehicle over, and I was told the correct information by the shipping company that the requested customs forms are only for ships coming from international ports. I went back to the DMV and spoke to a supervisor who had to research further, one hour later I was told I didn’t need those forms since, “Hawaii is a U.S. territory.” Uhhhhh? What do they teach in California schools? 2 additional hours of my time stolen due to the teams absolute ineptness

They opened at 9: and there was at least 40 people in the Non Appointment line. That was pretty quick. I received a # and had to wait about 10to 15 minutes. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

Out of my mini years of experiences with different department of motor vehicle locations, I could honestly say, considering the reason that I had to go in there and chose to do it on my lunch break I was in and out of this location in 50 minutes. The location seemed organized when I arrived Line formations, depending on if you have an appointment versus another line for non-appointments. The lady that was assisting this day working the line formation was well organized herself and knew right away what forms needed to be filled out if any, and provided you guidance on the next steps, and where to go. When I sat down waiting for my turn, I felt that the number is being called or at a pretty reasonable speed. At least never me called every 3 to 5 minutes. I think if I really had to visit again I would be comfortable with visiting this location. The staff seemed cordial when they needed to be, although I did witness one associate, needing to become stern with a customer. For the most part, if you're going to any department of motor vehicles, knowing what you need and go in prepared then it should be a seamless visit.

Everyone is so mean.I was there to do my driving test 20 minutes before my appointment and they didn't want a do it for me because they told me that I was late and they sent me to the line to make another appointment. Even the lady walk away from me.
