I booked my appointment last minute, and Briantae did my hair I got tribal braids she was fast and efficient, she was nice and friendly. She communicated with me about everything up front and gave me exactly what I asked for will definitely be back again!

Came in the shop today to get braids , by Briante she was Pleasant , on time , a great communicator & a fast but efficient worker , if your looking to get braids I highly recommend her best in the shop

his stylist who said if i cant handle his mouth i should just leave. instead of taking responsibility for his incompetence of not informing me about post-install care for my frontal which i paid $500 to install. i did not expect it to lift up the next day. i was asked to pay another $150 a week later for a touch up. when i already told him about the lifted frontal day after the initial install. when i went back for a touch up i was talked down to like a child and after i told him not to speak to me in that tone he continued bashing me for his incompetence until i had to walk out of there. to top it off another stylist came knocking on my car window asking me not to come back if i have any problems. it was toxic environment to be in and unprofessional conduct by both stylist given i had spent $450 plus $50 tip for a weave install that should only have costed $275. Yet i was verbally abused and humiliated. i don't usually write bad reviews but today i felt like i was taken advantage of with the Price and poor service. The stylist lacked customer service skills and i don't know how someone can be so arrogant to ignore their own shortcomings instead goes off on the client in a violent tone. i definitely felt very uncomfortable to the point of telling him don't get close to me it was just awful how i was chased out of the store. i'm surprised how someone who works in the service industry could be so ruthless and arrogant. Please Stay away from this Place unless you like being abused.

This is a long one but really read it if you want to avoid what I went through. This post is mainly about the poor service, verbal abuse and toxic attitude I received from the stylist Briantae Linear. As she reminded me several times she is her own boss and independent contractor, not an employee. My original appointment was for 4/29 @ noon for jumbo bohemian knotless braids. The day before my appt Briantae asked me to move it to 1:30pm. This is only after I texted her to confirm the appt. (Not an issue but a small note of concern) Prior to the appt, I have text messages of her quoting one price and then after my service she upped me $25 saying she communicated that one style was more than the other. She did but she insisted that if I had her curl the end by rod and dipped it would be more. She simply add curly pieces to the end of the hair. Which leads to the real issue. I bought her 6 brand new packets of pre stretched hair, she insisted that she needed to cut the ends (never has a stylist done this for my service). I asked her repeatedly throughout my service three times if the curl piece would stay on the end and if they were secure enough. She kept saying she's "a professional", she "knows what she doing", she promises "it will stay secure". Which in the end it did not stay. the reason the style and curly add in fell out is because she cut the ends of the hair. The first piece fell out 1 hour after I left the shop. The whole braid unraveled within a minute of me noticing. I immediately text her. Then after a few replies of her saying come back I can fix it, I decide to call to make it easier to arrange a time. First call rang then was sent to voicemail. Then by third call I was either blocked or she turned off her phone. I am furious at this moment. So I call the shop, highly favored. I speak with the owner and politely asked her name and position. The owner "meeka" is immediately defensive and just dry rude for no reason. ( it's almost as if she knew I was the client that was upset by one of her contracted stylist) she barely wanted to tell me her name. And then sounded annoyed that I called asking about shop policy and what to do with my stylist. Her whole phone demeanor was nonchalant and unbothered. She also acted like I wasn't sitting in back of her for most of my service and like she was not present in the shop that day. It wasn't until I pointed out her outfit and the clients she served that she realized I knew who she was. The whole thing was bizarre and silly. The outcome was she said she'd call Briantae and call me back. In turn only Briantae texted me back with some rude and childish response but ultimately says she'll fix my braid on Sunday may 1st. She tells me she has no noon appt and 10am is an opening. I agree telling her I will try to make the appt on time. On the day of the appt I'll just say that it started off okay but obviously she over booked and underestimated how poorly done and rushed her work was on me. So she asked me to come back 2 hrs later ( which would be 12:30 a noon appt). I say that's no problem but as I asked what she was going to do to finish the style if I come back that's when all hell broke loose. She raised her voice, accosted me, physically threatens me, calls me a little girl and then accused me of treating her like a child. The projection and denial dripping off of her was alarming. If it wasn't for another stylist( shoutout to this woman who cared enough to intervene. Bless you!) I am to assume I was going to have to fight just because I wanted my hair fix. I have never experience this level of unprofessional, lack of safety and extreme discomfort at any hair salon or shop in my life. I'm originally from the Bay Area but is this how all LA stylist get down? The end result is my hair did not get fixed but Briantae finally agreed to give me all my money back after she tried to suggest partial refund. Got my daughters hair braided here twice. First time her hair was cute, neat, and professionally done. Second time the whole situation was a mess. Person changed her appointment 2 times, then tried to up the price $60 more a hour before her appointment and then arrived almost a half hour late. She ended up charging the price she'd given us before but made the braids extra big "dookie" braids that were sticking up and different lengths. She blamed the hair but I provided the same hair that she told me to buy the first time- actually it was the left over hair that I'd purchased when she first did my daughters hair! She also said my daughter chose that hairdo which was also untrue because #1 She doesn't like big braids and #2 she showed me the picture of the hairdo she requested and Dookie braids was not it! During my conversation with the braider when she was trying to up the price, we discussed having less braids than before ( before she had a whole lot of braids) but she literally went from probably 60/70 braids to 25! My daughter was in tears after, she's 14 and any body who knows about that age knows that it is a self esteem sensitive age. My daughters hair wasn't neat and looked totally unprofessional! Certainly far from shop quality! I just felt like if she didn't want to do her hair, she should of just canceled all together instead of charging me for the rush job she put on top of my daughters head! And what made matters worse, she did this the day before Easter!

I can't leave a legitimate review because I never received services here. However, I had an appointment scheduled and the stylist cancelled it when I told him I couldn't come in earlier than the scheduled appointment. He claimed that it wasn't worth it for him to wait four hours just for my appointment (my assumption is that the man is young and doesn't have any professional skills... otherwise he would know that that is very very unprofessional statement to tell a client--especially a potential client). When you call the phone number listed it goes directly to the owner. The owner was responsive but then I was receiving text messages from the stylist saying that the salon was going to be closed at that time (3pm?) and that the owner doesn't know the schedule and who's there.. it was a bit of a disorganized mess but eventually the owner scheduled me with someone else, but at that point, I didn't even want to go (last thing I want is a disgruntled hairdresser doing my hair) There are so many salons in LA... I don't think anyone will be missing anything if they skip this one

Overall the service was good. The problem was a separate fee for washing my hair. I swore when you are quoted a price for salon services washing your hair is included. With that being said none of this was stated when the appointment was made nor at the time of the wash. Worst it was 30.00 for a wash. I have been burned three times supporting my people...

I brought my daughter here & they did a wonderful job of braiding her hair. The manager Meka was extremely kind & professional. My daughter is very tender headed & the braider Donna is very patient & skilled in her work. I would recommend this place to friends & family for hair care. I will definitely be back

To my surprise I reallyy cant believe these positive reviews about the customer service at this establishment. I came here a year ago to purchase some hair and the lady was so rude I left and did not purchase. A year later I figured well maybe that was just THAT day and low and behold VERY rude YEat again even worse To my regret I did purchase but the hair stinks I have washed it twice it has the smell of China all.over it. And if you have ever bought hair online it comes from China and the smell stinks like p**** A never to go back to these rude people with their stinky hair EVER. Ive smelled dogs breath that smells better than this hair and have dealt with the rude drunk on the street who wasnt half as rude as the lady selling this hair. I cant imagine what to even wash this hair with to get this smell OUT P U

Made a same day Saturday morning appointment with Tiffany for a weave take out and a shampoo press n curl. She did a good job, paid attention to my hair. Recommended a trim, which she did well. Didn't cut too much. Shop was busy and all stylists were polite. I saw people getting braids, short hairstyles, press n curls and wig installations. Everyone's hair looked really nice when they left. I would recommend this salon. I would recommend Tiffany as a stylist.
