Unless you want to punish yourself don't even bother. Unfortunately I have tried to buy guns here on 2 occasions, neither time have I left with anything. I'll give them credit, they typically have a good selection. Probably because they struggle to actually complete sales, a semi competent person should complete a transaction in 30ish minutes or less, these guys average 1.25hrs if you're lucky. Not to mention after you have waited in line for over an hour they drop what they are doing to sell 2 boxes of ammo to a guy that just walked into the store or letting guys that didn't have the needed documents to complete a purchase leave the store for an hour to go home and come back get right back at the head of the line. Pro tip if you're still want to roll the dice and give them a try, stop in the camping section and grab a camp chair first so that you'll at least be comfy while you suffer. I'd try amateur colonoscopies before setting foot in this store again.

This has possibly been the worst customer service I have ever experienced. This was a horrible experience and I will never shop at sportsman's Warehouse ever again. I purchased a firearm in December. I walked into the store to purchase, I was sent home and told to order online because "it's just easier that way". I ordered the firearm for pickup. I received confirmation that my firearm was ready for pickup. I went to the store, knowing I had to sign papers and wait 14 days. I waited 3 1/2 hours before even being able to speak with an associate at the hunting and guns department. I waited the 14 days and called the store to set up an appointment time pick up my item. Too bad... no answer and guess what, can't leave a voicemail. I walk into the store preparing myself for another long wait. I waited an hour and a half and didn't even see anyone. I had to leave. I continue to call multiple times on different days and never received an answer. I call a different department which eventually answered. They weren't able to help me and "no managers were available" to speak with. They took my information for the manager to call me, which they never did. Finally two months after purchasing the item I was able to get ahold of someone in the corporate. They refunded my order. The corporate supervisor said this is a common issue with the Fairfield store. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Plenty of other stores in the Bay Area with good service. This store is a waste of space.

drove all the way from hayward to take my dad to purchase his rifle, waited 30 minutes to be helped and when it was time to purchase the worker refused to sell to us because he thought the firearm license was a copy and not the original copy when it was. unacceptable service on their end pretty disappointed. (even if you had a copy of your license you can still use that. FYI) I would recommend going to a real gun shop to purchase your firearms, way more quicker and less BS

Terrible customer service. I ordered online, my order was messed up, I had to make multiple calls to straighten it out. When I went to pick it up they were badly understaffed and really disorganized. I was kept waiting for wayyyyyy too long.

I went here to buy a rifle and the wait line was ridiculous. I just think there is a better way to do business with folks dropping a lot of money in your store. Just my humble opinion.

Expect to wait 2+ hours for firearm purchase or release. Sometimes, you get lucky, and you're in and out in about 45 minutes.

This Fairfield store deserves -5 Stars! They are less than zero. I purchased a rifle, revolver, and safe on Dec. 6th. Although it said shipped to store for 3 weeks, it had not arrived by Dec. 26th. I decided to cancel the rifle.I arrived at the store about 9:15 on Dec. 26th. There were three different lines. I was told to take a number. They were on No. 81 and I had 86. After 2 hours, the number never changed from 81. I asked one of the salesmen and he told me that they were not calling the numbers and that I needed to get in one of the lines. I was very pissed. Finally, I got to see a salesperson to complete my transaction. I cancelled the rifle, completed the paperwork for my revolver, and picked up my safe. I was very frustrated at this point and just ready to go. Someone came and loaded the safe and to my truck. The safe was very heavy and I needed to call some extra resources over to my house to help me unload it. When we got it off the truck and unboxed it, it had no manual, key, or lock combination code. All 3 things should have been included. I was pissed to the highest points of pisstivity at this point. I tried to call them and no one answered the phone. I ended up calling them a dozen times over an hour and they refused to answer the phone. I finally called the corporate headquarters to get some answers. The person incorporate tried to call them and said that the Fairfield store hung up on them twice also.Do yourself a favor and don't ever shop here. Stay far away. I typically shop at the store in Brentwood and I highly recommend them.

ALL THE 1 STAR REVIEWS ARE TRUE. DO NOT BUY YOUR GUNS HERE... unless you want to wait forever and try to figure out their rudimentary numbers / no numbers systems crap and deal with the worst customer service or lack thereof. Save yourself some time and peace of mind. Do business elsewhere!

They really need to add a zero star for this store I ordered my firearm online went to fill out the paperwork the line did not move for 2 hours and they had like five guys working. One guy was buying like 20 shotguns and they took most of the time to help him other people had to just wait. They was not calling tickets when I got there at 11am which on one even said anything about tickets. Then at around 1pm I was next in line but they then they turnt the ticket counter back on and it went from 0 to 38. Then they just started to take people behind to the point where the people behind asked where they every going to help me. Smh mind you I already paid in full for my order. I had to tell the guy that seen me in line all damn day that I been here waiting the whole time and he was just looking through me. The worst customer service I ever seen in my life I just went up to the counter and canceled my whole order I don't even care how many I can save going here I will just pay full price so I never have to deal with this bull shit. Good look if you plan on going here but they really suck the items are great but in the gun area works are just not it. I will never go back there what a huge waste of time. They might not be in business to much longer if they don't fix things there.

Short Story: Would give 0 stars if it was possible. It took over 5 hours today to complete my firearm transfer paperwork, and I'm assuming it will be about the same for the pick up. So I will likely be into this around 10 hours to order and transfer a firearm. This will be the last time I go through Sportsman's Warehouse for a firearms or ammo purchase. Longer Story: I tried to schedule an appointment to complete the paperwork, but they were over 2 weeks out on the appointments and they will restock your firearm if you haven't complete the paperwork in 14 days. I considered walking out of there multiple times and cancelling my order to go through another company that values their customers and can run an efficient business, and regret not doing so. Another issue was with the order itself. The website stated the firearm I wanted was in stock and my emailed receipt after purchase stated "ready for pick up today". Glad u didn't head down there because my order status in my account changed to "pending shipment". Tried to call and figure out what was going on, but good luck getting ahold of anyone on the phone (ended up calling the Brentwood store and they assisted me). The only person here that was competent and helpful was the woman I was able to speak with in the receiving department yesterday who even went to personally checked the shipment that had come in to ensure the order update email was accurate and my firearm was actually there.

If I could put a zero I would. The wait time just to purchase ammo is ridiculous. So ridiculous they provide a damn stool for you. It's been 33 min and I'm still waiting to spend over a hundred dollars on ammo. Unfortunately I need this ammo for tmw and this is the only place still open. I'm never coming here again.
