I went to get my hair done in which I have never done before. I heard some great reviews about getting hair done at ulta from friend and family and decided to give it a try. However as it was coming to finishing up my hair the lady messed up my hair. I now have a big patch of my head of hair missing and I am upset. I used to have long and thick hair and now my hair is coming out in chunks and it’s been two months since getting my hair done. As well the lady still charged be a lot being that she knew she messed up and called the specialist to help her out. Never get your hair done here unless you want it all to fall out!

A recent visit here and found a great selection and helpful staff. However, some areas could benefit from improved cleanliness, specifically around the tester stations and walkways. This did not ruin the experience, but it did impact the overall impression of the store. Hopefully, this can be addressed soon. Rosa was very helpful assistant as well when i tried to find my favorite foundation.

If you come here and try to ask for help save yourself the headache and don’t bother. The employees are beyond rude and act like you’re wasting their time regardless of anything you ask or how you ask. They have horrible attitudes and didn’t even try to address my questions.

I don’t recommend this place for hair coloring. I chose an Elite stylist because I expected experience—but that was a big mistake! They don’t seem skilled with black hair. They really need more training! I'm an artist and I know colors and shades well, and she didn’t do a good job. At least they refunded my money.

I just left this store and am never coming back. Every time I come in this place I am followed. And yes it’s obviously bc of my skin color. I only ever by 3 things- fake nails, masks, and occasionally makeup. But I take my time since the prices here are not cheaper but it is convenient to find everything in one place. I’m fed up with a whole store full of people and being followed every time. Today it was 3 idiots following me and one was so stupid she followed me through every asile like I couldn’t tell. I can be with my son, in work clothes, bum clothes, it doesn’t matter. They are not friendly, not even a fake smile which everyone else seems in the reviews agrees with. And for all that following not once did they offer to help, and i needed help finding a foundation! What’s crazy is that I have a high limit credit card with them and this is making me want to cancel.

I approached the employee Natalie for some help, asking for a shade that was not on the counter. She seemed bothered I even asked and immediately said everything that was out is all they had. As I was at the store I saw the shade I had asked for was available online at the same location so I ordered it. I waited for it to be ready for pickup and sure enough it was the shade I had asked for. Basically the shade was available and it just seems like she didn’t bother to check… it turns out she is a Manager and that just shows the lack of customer service leadership they have.

Customer service is awful here. They don’t let you know about returns and exchanges. They don’t do all returns. Never come here anymore again.

I like Ulta would love to buy perfume there but i hate to bother employee’s to smell every perfume coz everytime i ask to smell their perfume i can see their faces changes and annoyed so decided to buy at macy’s atleast there tester is open and not locked. And also when i was looking for something I called someone but pretended she didn’t hear so i was just pretending also that I’m suspicious so they’ll start following me and taadaa here they come HAHA ?

I LOVE shopping here the workers are always so nice. Today 2-11-24 Jazlin I think was her name rang up me and my daughter and was sooo patient with me my phone was running slow to get my coupon and she was so sweet waiting!!! Thank you girl

Just went into the store to get color matched for an ILIA foundation and was told they are “Not doing” color matches at this time; this was said to me by the cashier (who had no customers waiting at all) who got on the radio, and asked another employee if they want to do a color match.Obviously the employee on the other end, said No. Ridiculous they would do that at 6pm on a slow Tuesday night!! Furthermore missed out on a sale.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars but i guess 1 star will have to do. My friend and I visited this ulta to look around at the holiday gift sets. The whole entire time we were being followed and felt very uncomfortable. We tried shaking it off since we were excited about to new holiday makeup items. While looking at a gift, an employee comes up and asks if we needed help but came off very rude. We told her no and that we were just looking. She walked away into the middle of the aisle and stood there to just stare at us. My friend needed to find a new setting spray so she walked over to the urban decay aisle and she said to another employee "she's going to the setting sprays". I went up to the lady who was talking to her employee through the mic because I had a question about if ulta carried gift sets with a variety of different makeup brands. I said excuse me about 2 times while she had her back turned and I wish i had asked someone else because she came off hostile and rude. She looked at me as if I said something stupid and said with an attitude "the only gift sets i know of are within the same brand" which was totally understandable. Then she said rudely "you can just build your own" and i thought there was a new ulta thing to build a gift set so i was interested and told her "oh they do that here now" then she proceeded to say "no buy the full sized items and build your own" with an attitude. I was thrown off because i did not know what i did to upset this lady. This Ulta in Fairfield needs to teach employees to treat others with kindness and respect. You may not like your job but that does not mean you should treat others terribly because you are miserable. I used to love shopping at Ulta but now that store makes me uncomfortable and I feel judged when even looking or touching an item.

This Asian woman followed me around practically the whole time. I was approached by employees three times in the span of 10 minutes, which is extremely suffocating. There's a thin line between good customer service and harassing your shoppers.
