I own two NGV Civics and happened to meet Mr. Day at the PG&E fuel station on Peabody Rd. in Vacaville. While waiting, Mr. Day and I started a conversation. Being unfamiliar with him, he mentioned his Wife, Mrs. Day, as being a councilwomen or something of that nature for the City of Suisun. He mentioned owning a shop and working on CNG's as a specialty. He even showed me a YouTube video depicting a NGV "hot-rod" that he had engineered. He attempted to solicit my business and said to come down and check him out. On Oct. 2, 2019, I decided to pay him a visit as a B1 service was 1,300 miles overdue. His employee Harry was watching TV in a recliner in the back when I entered. The atmosphere seemed pleasant and almost grandmotherly with pleasant potpourri smells of the season, etc. Mr. Day wasn't present at the time. Harry seemed nice enough and said that he and Mr. Day are the only ones that work at the shop. Harry asked what was needed. I told him a B1 service. We exchanged cards and I was told that Mr. Day would call me before the day was out. At approximately 4:00pm I received a call from Mr. Day stating that he had to jump start my car to get it into his shop as the battery was dead which would cost me $115.00. I told him that it didn't have any battery issues whatsoever prior to coming there. He said that if I drive it daily, there may not be an issue but to leave it sat would definitely kill the battery (I was out of state for a funeral 2 weeks ago and it sat in the airport parking lot for 4 days and fired up without an issue upon my return). He immediately became agitated at my seemingly confused state of the now current condition of my battery. He began to raise his voice and said, "Come get your car! I don't want to work for you! I'll leave it in the parking lot and you can get it out of here and take it somewhere else!" I was truly astounded I told him, "Wayne, please calm down... that's fine, just put a battery in it, no problem..." His reply, "That's gonna cost you $115 and I haven't even done an estimate yet! If you can't afford a new battery, I don't want to work for you! Come get your car!" He hung up. In his defense, he may have just had a really bad day, wasn't feeling well, who knows, but one thing is clear; my battery was perfect when I arrived and a B1 service was what I was needing done and now when I go back (I haven't even picked up my car yet; it's been 15 minutes since he hung up), I hope the battery that I came with is the same one still in my vehicle. I'll update as to the current condition of my vehicle upon p/up. Due to this complete unprofessionalism, lack of self control over the phone and pure rudeness, I would not recommend this shop to service NGV engines or anything else for that matter. Furthermore, to attempt to up-sale a customer on a product or service that isn't needed, and to lose your cool when that customer isn't taking the bait is a whole new low that you truly only think you'll see in movies... huge double thumbs down. ******UPDATE****** Upon me retrieving my vehicle, I assumed it would be out front with the keys inside. I noticed it was parked out front, no key, which meant I had to go inside. Once I entered Mr. Day was behind the counter. I approached and before I could say anything, he nudged the key toward me on the counter and said, "You want someone else to take responsibility for your car. You don't know who you are dealing with!" I removed a fob that he placed my key into (one of those marketing fobs that has the business name on it) and politely told him, "have a good day." I didn't look initially at the other reviews (poor decision on my part) when entering my review, but did so before this update thinking maybe he was just having a bad day like we humans sometimes have, wanting to give Mr. Day
