“Our original trip was cancelled, so we decided to come up to Fort Bragg. When we have driven by this motel before, I always thought I wanted to stay here. It was booked the night we arrived, so we got a room on the first floor. In the rooms, they have hot tubs. Someone decided to turn there's on at 640 am.?
Our mattress was so old, to get out of the bed, you would have to crawl over the wooden frame.
Next morning I spoke to Michell, the GM and she made it right and moved us to another room. Having car issues today, I am enjoying the view on the balcony.
Breakfast is grab and go, so we have been eating out. Would stay here again, if we had this room.”

“Very clean and comfy rooms. We were on third floor facing north. The complimentary breakfast was delicious with plenty of protein and all the carb choices. Indoor swimming pool! Very close to beaches, forests and hiking trails.
Pro tip, it’s sits along Hwy 20, so ask for a room opposite of street side.”

“We stayed for 4 nights in the dog cottage. The cottages are small, but it is nice having a full kitchen. There is a nice area out front for dog walking. There is an issue in that there is no management on site, so any problems must be taken care of by phone and text. Anything after hours has to wait till the next day.”

“Ocean View Lodge
1141 N Main St.
Fort Bragg, CA 95437
We stayed two nights at the Ocean View Lodge, Fort Bragg. Our check in was easy and we were in our second-floor room within five minutes. We found the room ready for us – clean, tidy, and with a full and stunning view of the Pacific Ocean from the big picture window and second floor balcony. We had a great whirlpool tub, faux fireplace, and king size bed available to us to relax in at the end of the day.
We had a couple of settling-in glitches which were addressed quickly and calmly by Mandy, the afternoon receptionist. Throughout our visit we found Mandy friendly, patient, and full of solutions to our queries.
There is no complimentary breakfast or daily room service. The hotel is aged - which shows. We addressed an electrical issue with the front desk attendant. The shower was small having a plastic curtain to replace a missing glass door. We made note of the thick, gaudy gold-gilded Baroque king bed, dresser, and nightstand in this particular room.
However, the location is great to watch the Pacific Ocean, access a paved walking path, walk to glass beach, and a stunning view of the sunset!
We have enjoyed this visit to Fort Bragg, in part of Ocean View Lodge hospitality. We would consider staying again.”

“I went in last eeek and ordered a Dutch crunch sandwich and it was the worst bread in my life-totally ruined my sandwich. The taste was amazing but the bread really crapped it for me. I went back to give it another shot and got the French Roll and boy was it good! I'll give it another shot to see if it's really good or just a one hit wonder. Buyer beware with the Dutch Crunch!”

“Let me start by saying this motel is old. The newest thing about it was the Best Western sign next to the road. That being said, everything else about the place was great. The owners stayed late to make sure we got our keys and got in. They were great. The room itself was a little dated but was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The bed was soft and and the sheets were clean. The next morning there was a ton of breakfast food waiting in the main building which was all good. Don't sleep on this place, it's the definition of looks being deceiving. If and when we ever return to Fort Bragg we won't hesitate to stay here again.”

“Great place to stay! The desk clerk, Shane, is a very cool guy and is super respectful. Rooms are clean, front desk/service is spot on, and the location is superb for an overnight/weekly stay. I highly recommend. Very good service and good people.”
