Beautiful but a bit rundown. Volunteer staff were hard working and friendly. Paid staff seemed lazy and not so friendly.

I really enjoy this state park and was excited to return again after 5 years. Normally, day-use visitors can go through the right lane quickly while campers check in on the left. On my most recent visit, the right lane was blocked (by a less -than -thoughtful ranger) which meant everyone had to wait in the camper line. It was taking so long I eventually left feeling disappointed. I still love this park, but I hope when I return in the future 5 years from now there will be a clearer process for day-use visitors to enter more smoothly.

Great campground! We were near the newer style restrooms which was very nice. I do wish they had hand soap in the restrooms but most California parks don't so I get it.

Nice easy stroll and beautiful views of the coast. Luguna Point lookout is also here. Great for watching the sunset

Camp sites amazing. Bathrooms nice, sites large and shielded from the wind.
Water is minerally so plan accordingly if you don’t like that.
Beach and lake super nice! Small pebble beach, seals, birds.
Close to town too so if you forget anything you are only a few minutes away.

We really enjoyed a two night stay here just a few minutes walk from the crashing waves. Nice access to walking and bicycling trails from the campsite. They are slowing redoing their bathrooms with showers. The finished ones are beautiful and a pleasure unmatched by most parks. It was always cool here during our stay in July and the ocean breeze kept most of the insects away. Bring bicycles for every member of your group.

Pretty well kept facilities and hard to beat the location. Someone was doing donuts in the parking lot for hours at 11-1am which was fairly annoying.

Nice boardwalk walking trail and picnic area. Tide pools are amazing and beach wasn't crowded. Bathrooms were clean.
