Well let me tell you something, the chicken is really good and fresh.We get the 2 different chickens and my mother in law makes the best Mexican Chicken soup/stew ever. No other soup can compare to hers.We also get the chicken wings from her too. Really good place for poultry.”
“The butchery is quite a drive from Orange but whenever I am nearby I can't help but stop and stock up..the House Marinade Chicken is the best. I love the filet burgers too! And the Saratoga Ribeye and Grass fed filet tenderloin are our favorites. The cheeses are amazing I go for all the sheep and goat varieties because my stomach is sensitive to cow dairy. It's such a treat to come to this market”

“Found this place on yelp and wanted to give it a try and am I glad I did. Gustavo greeted me very friendly around 10am and was eager to help me with whatever i needed. The carne asada was some of the best meat i've ever had. Tender and full of flavor this meat melted in your mouth. The salsa roja and rosa chips were beyond delicious as well. Gustavo, I can only imagine your hospitality to regulars who come through but thank you for your hospitality to your new customers as well! Will definitely be coming back for more!”

“After passing by this place quite a few times, thinking it was only a butcher, I finally came to realize they have sandwiches too. However, fair warning, be prepared to take whatever you get to go - there is zero seating, not even a small table in a corner, if you want to eat in.
Decided to try the pastrami - it's their own smoked, thick-sliced, which was pretty good, but if I'm being honest, it was kind of a bit chewy and not near as good as I'd heard. The poblano mustard was a nice, unexpected touch, but quite disappointingly, it was NOT served on a toasted grinder roll, as advertised.
And since it was to go only, I didn't realize until I was later eating that it was plain old marbled bread of some sort - totally different taste and texture than a grinder roll - if they were out, or whatever the reason was, they should've said something before making it - I would have completely passed for that day if I knew it was going to be on bread.
So the service... the two guys working there seem to run the place (one was an owner, I think possibly). The other guy, who finally took my order after passing by me as he was doing other things (I was the only person in the small place) - I finally had to ask if I could order, and he kind of begrudgingly took my order. And it took forever... like close to 20 minutes! I love that they steam the pastrami right then and there, but not sure what took so very long with no one else even there.
The other guy was either the mgr or owner, and was at least a bit more friendly, but seemed completely bothered by my questions about the butcher cuts of meat while I was waiting.
Overall, the sandwich was pretty decent, but not to the level of the many raving reviews here. It was good, even on bread, but the service kind of left a lesser taste in my mouth. Will choose from many other options in the future when I'm around.”

While good, if you are sick of the w*nkery of The Butchery and Sections, plus paying twice as much for cuts of quality meat - I’d recommend the Beef Palace. Super dodgy strip mall and modest front takes you into meat wonderland. Old school cool. Great service. Cash only.

“I am a Stater Bros customer for at least 30 yrs or more I love this SB on State College I have always been treated very well and have never had a problem with any of the employees . If I ever needed help with anything I was kindly helped. The only thing I noticed is that the young baggers need to be trained on what items to bag together keep cold items together not with canned items and don't put too many heavy items in one bag it s too heavy for an older person to carry if someone comes in with cooling bags don't put cans or non cold items in it. They just need to be trained that's all. I love all the cashiers and deli,bakery,produce employees too,some I know by name,thank you Tina,Alicia,Anthony, Dave,just to name a few and I have to say that the current store manager is great!!

“Workers are nice and friendly. My kids even have their own fave cashier they made friends with and always look for her when checking out. They have a good selection of greens for bearded dragons. Chips that are on sale are always stocked! Good fried chicken.”

Whenever I either couldn't find a particular item or just ask if they had one available, they always are willing to help! “I went a few times during the weekend to buy pan dulce which was decent, and this morning (Tuesday) I went before 8am and was shocked at how crowded it was. I initially was going for their tamales which I've tried before and they were dry and "just ok," enough to satisfy my craving but after seeing everyone in line for the hot food I stood in line as well. They sell tortas with frijoles (beans) with your choice of meat (carne asada, chorizo, chicharrón rojo and verde) i ordered the chicharrón rojo and OMG!! Delicious! I had the guy add salsa and jalapeños which was a mistake because the chicharrón rojo already has a nice kick to it so after my first bite I took out the jalapeños. The few times I went I didn't notice the hot food so not sure if it only sells during certain times. It gets packed in the mornings with people heading to work and the line can get long, I waited about 10 minutes not bad. With my torta and can soda it was $5.77! *Update* tortas sell in the morning until 8amThe reason for my 4 stars instead of 5 is because I saw the produce section and it was a bit gross, the carrots and lettuce looked old. I will be going back only because the convenient location and for their tortas!”
