The company has gone Corporate. They care more about making money, and selling memberships over taking care of customers. Wish i could give zero stars. There is a reason this store, and others that have followed, unionized. The management at this corporation is awful, by design. They hire externally and have fired most long tenured employee's. There is no more outdoor culture, and inspiration from knowledgeable staff. The advantage they had over other retailers was great customer service...that's it. But after eliminating their Sales lead position which was the part of the management team that essentially ran the sales floor and wrre their best experts, the company is just another Walmart. Don't be fooled by the 'Co-op', there are better places to shop that give you that 10% back instantly with membership like Sports Basement. One of REI's goals is to sell Credit Cards!! Not just membership. Shop local, shop Sports Basement.

Great store for camping in a prime location. Sad to see it shut down.

Fine, but the customer service people seemed sort of casually surprised to be asked for help and certainly weren’t trying to offer. Also, some poser in an expensive outdoorsy jacket and impractically tight jeans cut me in line when I had an urgent need for fuel canisters for my travel trailer and I wanted to never again drive through this part of CA.

On the evening of October 31st around 7:00, I visited the store with the intention of trading in a pair of shoes. To my disappointment, the young man employee on duty declined my trade-in request, stating that my shoes were used. I had researched the trade-in policy online and found that used items were generally accepted as long as they weren’t broken, which led to my confusion and disappointment.I must admit that I felt frustrated by this encounter. It’s essential for businesses to ensure that their staff adheres to their own policies and provides clear and consistent information to customers. However, I can’t definitively say whether the refusal was due to my ethnicity, as I would hope that such incidents are not based on race.In my opinion, the employee’s refusal to accept my trade-in was an unfortunate customer service experience. I believe it’s important for businesses to address these issues and ensure that their staff is well-informed about their trade-in policies to prevent such situations from recurring.

Always very good with floor support staff, no issues, some time cash registers make errors. Sometime during returns cashiers dont trust customers, they look at it suspicious and show disrespect, even for few $$

Very disappointing recent visit. In the past was very pleased but clearly training and concerns are not a priority for management. In the past awesome active employees who love the outdoors wanted to help you find the best equipment. In my recent visit loads of employees on their phones or just standing around in an almost empty store. Only comment to me was dogs only allowed if they are in the dog clothing area so be warned don’t walk there with your dog if you also want to visit clothing areas. My dog is for disabilities but they weren’t concerned about that. Retraining of employees on how to be helpful and happy us highly suggested. Until then I’m shopping online!Visited October 15th 2023

Always a great experience every time I come to this store. However, it does have a pretty small selection compared to other REI locations.

Poor bike services for e-bikes especially with engine errors. Avoid buying e-bikes from this shop or online at all cost due to lack of e-bike repair services!

If you want your ebike fixed, don't come to Rei bike shop. They won't be able to fix errors from your ebike.

Isaiah and Olivia made my night! I have an in between foot size and Isaiah took the time to help me figure out my size, best type of shoe for hiking moderate trails. After some trial and error I found two perfect pairs. Thanks to his suggestion to try the "rock test" I realized the second pair was more comfortable than the first. Basically, try going up and down the rocks - if your toes don't jam up against the front then that's the winner! I joined the REI membership- $30 for a lifetime membership and $5 goes towards the local parks and Recreation organizations. And he suggested some thin socks to go with them. I'm excited to try these out! Olivia was so sweet and kind at the register, the thoughtful service here makes coming back a no brainer!

Generally good. My experiences with REI tend to be positive, and this store is no exception. The staff were helpful when I was trying several hiking boots, and the bike shop was able to do a quick chain replacement to get me back on the road quickly. My only complaint is that my most recent bike tune up saw the front derailleur adjusted so it now shifts worse than it did before (it actually throws the chain). The rest of the work seemed to be done very well, but that did cause me a couple issues the following day.Otherwise, this is my first stop for just about anything outdoor-related.

Everything you need for outdoorsy life is here. They have good stuff, a tad expensive. But you can return some things for store credit. You get points too.

I primarily went t there to get my bike fixed. Bike technicians are always willing to helpful, great employees and reasonable cost. But my experience always has been marred by inefficient payment processing. There is always some sort of problem at cash register and delays and because of the longer lines than necessary. This is an issue of poor management. Last time just to pick up my bike too 1/2hour. At the bike register, machine broke down and I had to go to general checkout section. Guess what there are only 2 cashiers and 10 ppl and took almost 20 minutes. When my TURN COMES I see why, their bar code scanner can not scan the bar codes produced by bike shop. I had 6 different work done generating 6 barcodes and what it could take seconds to whizz through took 5 minutes where cashier had to manually enter the bar code number one by one. Fuck this place and its management!

I came here looking for a baby carrier during their anniversary sale. The parking lot was quite full probably due to the sale. The store has two levels. It's well organized so I was able to find what I was looking for quickly. It was nice being able to try out the carrier in person instead of just ordering it online. I was assisted by friendly staff members and the checkout process was quick. Overall, it was a great experience.
