Tried to buy some stuff. Needed monitor speakers, studio mic, and a few other miscellaneous items. Was ready to spend at $1,500 in new gear. But no one was around to help. The entire audio section was unmanned the whole time I was there. I walked up to the counter a few times, thinking maybe the person who runs this section is just using the bathroom or something. But no one ever was there. It was today. 3/11/24 around 4 to 4:30. Very disappointing. This store has gone down hill. It looks like it's going out of business and service is non existent. Judging by all the negative reviews I'm not the only one.

I really wanted to have someone work with me to look at various Les Paul models. I did a little homework on YouTube, but I am a beginner. As a kid, I always wanted one... bought an Epiphone look alike. I wanted to see/feel the difference between a couple of their models. The few Les Paul's that they had were at the very top near the ceiling. Most were locked which I can only imagine why. I may have walked away with a guitar today but they didn't seem to care about helping me determine the difference in price. Sorry guys... I may have walked away with a guitar today. Instead I am looking online.

Do not buy anything here! Worst customer service EVER! Manager simply doesn't care to have your business. Instead of trying to solve the issue she told us to return the defective guitar. I have never experienced such treatment. My son bough his first guitar here and within two hours the strings broke and she said that the guitar had been sitting in a warehouse for "who knows how long" and there was nothing she could do. If we needed it it fixed we would need to pay for the strings and labor. How is this our fault? They sell defective guitars and take zero responsibility for anything. Mind you, we bought insurance but of course didn't cover that. I understand if we had had the guitar for months but we had just bought it two hours ago and we're not new to guitars, we know how to handle them but these strings were just old and rusty. The manager's attitude was the worst: "Well, you can return the guitar but we won't fix the strings" . Who says that??? Horrible. She should not be nowhere near customers. She should be in the warehouse packing something away from people. No wonder they only have a 2.5 star rating. Pay attention everyone, these ratings are there for a reason. Needless to say, we're on our way to return the defective guitar. We'll be taking our business elsewhere... not that she cares.

I have a question

I’ve gone there twice and both time I was there, I was treated horrible. The first time I went a tall dark skin man was supposedly there to help but did not help out all, I would ask a question about a machine and he would answer in the rudest way. The second time I went, a short long hair man gave me the worst attitude ever and I felt dumb. He did everything with so much attitude that I had to walk away. Then I composed myself and ask him for help on getting a microphone, I bought he still gave me attitude, he would sigh after every question I had. He treated me horrible and felt stupid. Then I proceeded to go look at some lights, he proceeded to come in the area and turn off all the light, computers,dj boards. And keep Mind you it was at 8 pm they don’t close till 10, I was so in-ranged i just left. I have never been treated this bad every

My daughter plays guitar so this place is a glory to her. However the young gal behind the counter was very rude bumped into my minor child as she was in a rush to grab strings that we were looking at and didn't even say excuse me. I corrected her and let her know that it was inappropriate and after a few words exchanged she finally gave a half apology. So expect to get attitude from her

Unfortunately was not real impressed with the guitar center. I haven't been in a guitar center in quite a while but I went in to see if I could find some wireless mics and I was surprised that their inventory was not all that great. I know they've had financial problems in the past but I don't know if that's gone away now. Maybe that's why they didn't have much of an inventory at least for wireless mics.

This Guitar Center has an AWESOME vibe! Had last min Xmas shopping to do and had a pick-up order that was ready right quick. The employees were very friendly and honestly seemed to like their jobs as music was being played from every corner of the building. Overall nice experience?

From one customer's point of view (who has purchased a couple of instruments at the Blackstone & Barstow Fresno locstion) the poor employees are overwhelmed. Phones ring for more than 20 minutes without being answered or going to voice mail. I have waited 10-15 minutes AFTER picking out an instrument to buy before an employee came over to take my money. (By the way I received no help whatsoever in picking out the instrument. I wasn't even greeted by any employee before the purchase, although several wandered by me while I was choosing my purchase.I don't think it is the employees fault. I think their hands are tied (and resources stripped away) by the chain. One wonders about the sustainabikity of such a business model!!
