Brookhurst Hobbies is one of the oldest remaining hobby shops in Southern California, serving the community for over 50 years. It is a very large and fantastic shop, well organized and stocked, with just about everything a hobbyist could want or need. The focus is on plastic models and miniatures, carrying an extensive and awesomely huge variety of model kits from brands like Tamiya, Revell, Bandai, and Academy, ranging from Gundam to classic aircraft, armor, and naval, with some quite old kits. It also specializes in games, offering a fantastic selection ranging from classic RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder to wargames, Warhammer, Kickstarters, and miniatures from Games Workshop and Reaper. The store has decent prices and a stunning selection of models and accessories. Employees are friendly. It is highly recommended as a proper board game and hobby store with a huge variety, some items of which cannot be found elsewhere.

Love it here. Everyong is always friendly and knowledgeable about the various hobbies on offer in the store. Great for a conversation about tools, models, games, etc. Prices are competitive and they have a wide variety in stock.
