“Visited as a vendor in my first show and although it was a very nice relaxed atmosphere there were not many people that turned out and I don't think there were any announcements or promotions leading up to the event to put the word out. I didn't see any. It was left to the vendors to advertise about the event the day of. If I attend in the future I will try to get more information and see if I can help with posting announcements leading up to the event. Everyone there was professional and helpful and ultimately it was a great learning experience. It would be a great little fair of people know to come.”

“Amazing views of Coloma, the American River and Eldorado County!!!! Birds and para-gliders soaring around us. After seeing this place for years on top of the hill, we finally stopped in for a visit. The wines are great, very unique and unfiltered. Definitely worth the trip. Alphonso was great, knowledgeable and friendly”

“Came across Eden Vale Inn when looking for a place to stay for a rafting trip with All-Outdoors on the American River. It’s such a cute inn! We checked in after 6pm, so check in instructions were texted to us. Easy to follow. Was easy to find. We stopped at Wally’s Pizza for dinner in Cameron Park based off their restaurant suggestions on their website and sent via text check in instructions. Great suggestion! The next mornings breakfast is texted the night before, offering some options like juice preference. And it’s delivered around 9am the next morning. Since we had to be at rafting at 9 our first morning at the Inn, they delivered us fruit, scones, and juice early at 8:15am which was really nice. Breakfast was delicious, both mornings. And super fresh. We stayed in the Cypress room. Was as pictured online. Room was clean. The patio area is nice. We explored the grounds a bit our last morning and saw many places to sit around. We enjoyed some time up at the pond in the morning. The staff - I assume owners - were very friendly. We were very happy with our stay here and would return!”

Every glass has something unique about it. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and very relaxing, the kind of place where you lose track of time and simply enjoy the moment. What impressed us the most was the hospitality. A huge thank you to manager Carissa for such a warm welcome and for the positive energy she brings to this place. “I'll let you in on a secret; wedding photographers all have favorites when it comes to wedding venues. And Black Oak Mountain Vineyards is one my favorites. California itself has a reputation for rugged natural beauty as well as innovation, and this location showcases all of those realities in one space. You get all the best views of the Sierra Nevada foothills and foliage, with structures that are chic. Working from the top down, the hilltop house is a high-end, modern build that offers a great place to relax, get ready, and even celebrate an after party. The infinity pools are gem-like for a splash of blue (or a literal splash, if you like), and the deck offers a commanding view of the surrounding Gold Country. The greenhouse and wooded areas behind the house are also great spots for more rustic photos--especially when they include the lone tree on the hill. The larger reception area at the bottom of the hill is spacious enough to host medium to large weddings under the open sky. When needed, the celebration can spill into the neighboring barn which is also modern in style. And which a quick walk down the driveway, you've got grapevines and a grove of olive trees for romantic portraits. Thanks to creative design, great support staff and a stunning backdrop, this is on incredible place for NorCal couples to get married.”

“I hosted my 30th birthday “fantasy ball” at the Shakespeare Club and it truly felt like the perfect venue for the event. Our theme was book and fantasy inspired, and the building honestly looks like it belongs in a storybook. I couldn’t have chosen a more fitting location. The price was very reasonable compared to other venues we looked at, and the contract was thorough and clear. They also provide a binder with detailed cleaning instructions, which made it easy to make sure we followed all the rules before leaving. The venue provided tables and chairs, access to a kitchen for food prep, and there are decent bathrooms as well. There’s also a small suite where I was able to get ready, which was such a nice touch. The venue doesn’t have its own sound system, but bringing our own was easy and didn’t create any problems. Everything about the event itself went incredibly smoothly, and the space made the night feel magical. My party was amazing, and the venue played a huge role in that. The only difficulty we experienced was getting our deposit returned. The contract states that deposits are returned within 30 days. As that deadline approached, I reached out since we hadn’t heard anything and hadn’t received the check. I was told they would follow up with the finance volunteer. After the 30-day mark passed, we still hadn’t received the deposit or any communication, and several emails went unanswered. Eventually my husband and I had to send a formal demand letter in order to get a response. I completely understand that the organization relies on volunteers and that things can happen, but 30 days is already a long window to process a refund, and communication would have gone a long way. The check was ultimately sent 40 days after the event and arrived about two weeks past the contractual deadline. Up until the deposit situation, everything about working with the venue felt smooth and professional. I truly loved the space and wouldn’t discourage anyone from hosting an event here. My only advice would be to stay proactive in communicating with the volunteers regarding your deposit return. Overall, the venue itself is beautiful, unique, and helped make my birthday celebration unforgettable.”

“This morning my dog and I were here, as we are most day and we noticed a couple of guys. They were suspect looking. I watched them for a minute cause they were at my garden. I saw Tristian also watching. He called for someone else to come with him to check on these guys. He arrived within seconds. Also arriving quickly was a sheriff I think. We left. I knew my garden would be safe. I just want to Thank Tristian and Eric for their quick response. I never feel unsafe walking here. There are workers all the time and they keep a watchful eye. I also wanted to acknowledge the ladies that clean the restrooms. They are friendly and do an amazing job. I don't think I have ever seen the restrooms dirty. This is a wonderful place to have in this area to walk with or without a dog. Its very safe and very clean. Placerville does lack in parks so this is a gem. Thank you everyone”
