“Came across Eden Vale Inn when looking for a place to stay for a rafting trip with All-Outdoors on the American River. It’s such a cute inn!

We checked in after 6pm, so check in instructions were texted to us. Easy to follow. Was easy to find. We stopped at Wally’s Pizza for dinner in Cameron Park based off their restaurant suggestions on their website and sent via text check in instructions. Great suggestion!

The next mornings breakfast is texted the night before, offering some options like juice preference. And it’s delivered around 9am the next morning. Since we had to be at rafting at 9 our first morning at the Inn, they delivered us fruit, scones, and juice early at 8:15am which was really nice. Breakfast was delicious, both mornings. And super fresh.

We stayed in the Cypress room. Was as pictured online. Room was clean. The patio area is nice. We explored the grounds a bit our last morning and saw many places to sit around. We enjoyed some time up at the pond in the morning.

The staff - I assume owners - were very friendly. We were very happy with our stay here and would return!”

“Oh my goodness, I just love Fausel Ranch! As a photographer, it’s a dream location — there’s so much variety with all the beautiful backdrops, you can create so many different looks all in one spot. And Deanne, the owner, is absolutely wonderful — she always goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Highly recommend!”

“I had my wedding at the Davies Family Inn at Shadow Ridge Ranch and it was absolutely amazing! The place itself is gorgeous without any decoration. Linda was so great and easy to reach if we had any questions or concerns, and was very hands on during the reception. She was extremely helpful. The bartender Beka was so sweet and did an amazing job. Everyone absolutely loved her! The cabins were very clean and so cozy. Having everything all in one place for the wedding was so much less stress and Shadow Ridge Ranch was the best place to do it. I can’t thank them enough for making our day so beautiful, special and fun. The reception was a BLAST and we danced the night away. The way that the property is set up was perfect! It is a weekend that my husband and I will remember forever. Thank you all again SO much!!”

“When my husband passed away unexpectedly it was really difficult to find a place to have his celebration that wasn't super expensive. Not only are their rates good they also have a full bar with great bartenders but a full kitchen. Proceeds go to supporting our local vets.”

“Wow amazing 7/16/26 my sister was married here. The service was amazing especially the bartender Shannon. Her amazing custom drinks were hit of the night the bride loved the cocktails excellent service. Also the food was phenomenal! “One of the best locations overlooking the 49er gold trail. Outstanding pond and pool combination, that includes a waterfall and a swim up bar for two. Very friendly owners who were working to ready the dining area outside for the summer season.”

“I hosted my 30th birthday “fantasy ball” at the Shakespeare Club and it truly felt like the perfect venue for the event. Our theme was book and fantasy inspired, and the building honestly looks like it belongs in a storybook. I couldn’t have chosen a more fitting location.

The price was very reasonable compared to other venues we looked at, and the contract was thorough and clear. They also provide a binder with detailed cleaning instructions, which made it easy to make sure we followed all the rules before leaving. The venue provided tables and chairs, access to a kitchen for food prep, and there are decent bathrooms as well. There’s also a small suite where I was able to get ready, which was such a nice touch. The venue doesn’t have its own sound system, but bringing our own was easy and didn’t create any problems.

Everything about the event itself went incredibly smoothly, and the space made the night feel magical. My party was amazing, and the venue played a huge role in that.

The only difficulty we experienced was getting our deposit returned. The contract states that deposits are returned within 30 days. As that deadline approached, I reached out since we hadn’t heard anything and hadn’t received the check. I was told they would follow up with the finance volunteer. After the 30-day mark passed, we still hadn’t received the deposit or any communication, and several emails went unanswered. Eventually my husband and I had to send a formal demand letter in order to get a response.

I completely understand that the organization relies on volunteers and that things can happen, but 30 days is already a long window to process a refund, and communication would have gone a long way. The check was ultimately sent 40 days after the event and arrived about two weeks past the contractual deadline.

Up until the deposit situation, everything about working with the venue felt smooth and professional. I truly loved the space and wouldn’t discourage anyone from hosting an event here. My only advice would be to stay proactive in communicating with the volunteers regarding your deposit return.

Overall, the venue itself is beautiful, unique, and helped make my birthday celebration unforgettable.”

“This morning my dog and I were here, as we are most day and we noticed a couple of guys. They were suspect looking. I watched them for a minute cause they were at my garden. I saw Tristian also watching. He called for someone else to come with him to check on these guys. He arrived within seconds. Also arriving quickly was a sheriff I think. We left. I knew my garden would be safe. I just want to Thank Tristian and Eric for their quick response. I never feel unsafe walking here. There are workers all the time and they keep a watchful eye. I also wanted to acknowledge the ladies that clean the restrooms. They are friendly and do an amazing job. I don't think I have ever seen the restrooms dirty. This is a wonderful place to have in this area to walk with or without a dog. Its very safe and very clean. Placerville does lack in parks so this is a gem. Thank you everyone”
